I love this place…read more I can't believe they don't have more Yelp reviews. Like many of the Google reviewers have said - this is NOT a super structured, corporate type nursery. That can make it feel daunting - but I feel very strongly that if you stop in - you'll be pleasantly surprised. In some areas - the plants and foliage are so dense that you can't see the sky above you. I felt like I was in lush, tropical jungle as I explored. Lol. And they must have some weird magical spell cast over the place because the times that I visited, I wasn't attacked by mosquitos or gnats - and insects like that typically attack and swarm me the second I step outdoors. The staff is always helpful without being pushy or obnoxious (or condescending about your lack of plant knowledge - lol). They've been in business since I was a little girl - so that, in and of itself, is an earmark of how awesome they are. It's great to have DECADES of knowledge at your disposal. Another plus - they actually answer their phones! The last time I called - I was looking for some red tips. Apparently no one in Georgia has them anymore - but the nurseries I visited in Marietta (where I currently live) had never even heard of them. Love. Love. Love. Highly recommend.

When you contact a florist in another state, you expect that they have some intuitive knowledge that you're sending a gift because you can't deliver it yourself and take extra care to ensure a great transaction. The Rose and Vine does not have take this care and apparently doesn't worry about bad reviews and losing customers. Must be nice to be so successful. I will never use this place again and will spread the word how terrible their customer service is. THE WORST!

Secondly, what I ordered was an arrangement in a unicorn vase. The whole purpose of choosing this arrangement was for the unicorn vase. When the recipient sent me a photo of the arrangement, it was not in a unicorn vase at all! It was a plain square vase. This arrangement was for a very small child who had just lost a parent. I was very disappointed that they misrepresented the arrangement. I can see substituting a flower because it is out of season, but having a completely different arrangement than what was pictured is just wrong.

There is a bakery immediately adjacent operated by family members and they even gave us some warm tasty treats while we were waiting. Highly recommend. They do not carry basic housewares, which is what I was seeking on my visit to supplement my JI rental house's kitchen, but we took a little time to look around just the same. Store is tidy and arranged nicely. Owner is very friendly and sociable, ready to answer any questions and tell all she knows about the provenance of any piece. Items were eclectic and vintage. I grew up with true 100+yo antiques passed down over generations and was taught a lot about old things. I'm versed in 20thC vintage items from my own curiosity and collections over the years. The merch I saw at Rummage is fun and vintage (mostly 1990s to now on my visit). However, you never know what may end up here as a consignment shop, so it's always evolving.
