History
Established in 2003.
Back in 2003, a man named Tim launched a unique shuttle service that gave mountain bikers an easy way to get to the top of the North Shore mountains before riding down.
That service was known as The Huckwagon, a play on the term 'Hucking' yourself off a jump or drop.
In 2014, the former General Manager took ownership and breathed new life into the company, and The Huckwagon emerged again with a sharper vision that focused on getting people to the breathtaking outdoor spaces of the West Coast.
In 2016, The Huckwagon became Coast Adventure Group and is now equipped with more vehicles, more passenger comforts, and a larger service radius. While Whistler is easily the most popular destination among our customers, we are capable of trips as far as Silver Star Mountain in Vernon, or Sun Peaks in Kamloops, and we can bring your bikes or ski equipment too!
Coast Adventure Group is still rider owned after all these years. We enjoy the same great outdoors that we take you to explore!
Meet the Business Owner: Ryan A.
When Coast Adventure Group was originally born as The Huckwagon, Ryan was a young mountain bike racer enjoying the North Shore mountains that are his backyard.
In 2005, Ryan joined the team as General Manager of the then-partnered companies: The Huckwagon Mountain Bike Shuttle and ESC Adventures.
When The Huckwagon was dismantled a few years later, Ryan began a career in Private Security, and moved into a Management role that oversaw the Security portfolios at some of BC's largest and busiest healthcare centres. While successful in this role, and although he was able to wear a suit well, Ryan remained interested in running a service that helped enthusiasts get to the mountains he loved.
In 2014, Ryan left his job and cashed in his savings to revive The Huckwagon, later rebranding it into Coast Adventure Group. Ryan continues to run the business with the enthusiasm of a fellow rider - basking in the enjoyment of getting people to the trails and ski runs he loves to enjoy as well.
