After finding out I had some stress induced medical issues, I decided it was time to take control of my life and my health and make some big changes. I interviewed several life coaches, and connected with Megan immediately. Her process is phenomenal, she held me accountable and every week I put in the hard work and saw the success on the other side. At the end of the 6 months, I was able to look back and see the life I wanted to live, (that I thought was not possible) come to life in front of me. I was doing it. After 10 years at one company in corporate America, I quit my job and started not one, but 3 companies and a blog. Megan inspired me, cheered me on and coached me through all the ups and downs. If it weren't for Megan, I definitely wouldn't be where I am today. She helped me get to the life I always dreamed of living, where I am choosing joy, happiness and fun. When people ask me if it was worth it, my answer is always a resounding YES. I then ask them, when was the last time you invested in yourself? When was the last time you did something to find greater purpose in life, happiness and joy? For most people the answer is never. Go for it- you won't regret it!!!

I went into 2019 feeling defeated. I had lost my mom a year prior and was still struggling with how…read moreto keep on living without her. I had started working at a job that was not fulfilling my wants and needs and was stuck in a bad cycle of believing that was the best job I could get and deserved to get. I had just gotten out of yet another unsuccessful relationship that had early promises of a future, but red flags kept appearing and instead of running for the hills, I had stayed with it thinking I could "change" it. I was about to turn 30 years old and was completely fed up of feeling lost. I had been to therapy throughout my entire life and never felt like it had done any good. I had heard of life coaches, but wasn't quite sure what they were or what they did. I started doing some research online and Megan stood out to me immediately. She had a warm and inviting smile in her photo on her website and I truly enjoyed reading what she had to say. Not only was her website bright and happy, but the content was exactly what I was looking for. After 20 minutes of clicking through her site and reading previous reviews of Megan's coaching style, I decided to schedule my free consultation. Megan called me and we had such an amazing chat. She had me answer a few questions that really got the conversation started and allowed her to decide if she could help me get out of my funk. At the end of our conversation, I knew this was the next step for me. Megan gave me hope that there was a better life that I had yet to live. Payment became no issue at that point. I considered it my 30th birthday present to myself; the best gift I could ever give myself. And our six month journey began. Within the first month of working with Megan, I had joined a dating website and learned the right ways to approach dating and starting a relationship. I met the man of my dreams. He had everything I had ever imagined I would want in a partner and more. They do exist, I promise! Within three months of working with Megan, I had moved on from my boring job and started looking for what I really wanted to do. I started working out and getting healthy not only on the inside, but on the outside as well. My last session with Megan was a prep for an interview for my dream job. And guess what? I got it! It has been six months since my coaching with Megan has ended and I am in the best place in my life. I am engaged and am getting married in May. I have purchased a home and will be moving in February. I have learned so much from my current workplace and was promoted to a manager position in three months time. I have learned to live for me and I will continue to do that for the rest of my life. I attribute all of this happiness and success to Megan. She opened my eyes to my true potential and gave me the tips I needed to push through my insecurities. Give Megan a chance to change your life for the better. She did it for me and I'm sure she can do it for you!

I chose her because of her east coast area code - I needed someone who was going to understand my energy! She has helped me grow and heal leaps and bounds in the 9 months I've been seeing her. She practices EMDR therapy, which I have done before, but the way she does it is much more effective than what I have experienced in the past. We also do EFT and visualization exercises that help me manage anxiety caused by negative thoughts and catastrophizing. She has given me so many tools for mindfulness, for keeping my emotions in check, and for being a mentally healthier and more self aware person. She helps me set goals and teaches me how to hold myself accountable. My life is exponentially better because of the work we do, and I am grateful every day for finding my way to her office. Even on the days when I struggle! I cannot recommend Gunjani enough.

"YOU PROBABLY HAVE HORMONAL ACNE"... everyone would tell me. But what do I do about it!? I've tried…read moreeverything, I told them. I was 28 years old with a chin full of huge cystic acne red pimples. All my friends considered me the healthiest eater and would workout every day, so none of this made sense to me. I would wake up extra early to cover up everything in makeup. Inside I was depressed and sad and would cry every few weeks when more pimples would show up. I would say no to social events because I didn't want to be seen like that. I was throwing away money on new natural remedies I found on youtube. Nothing was working. Finally, I was connected to Nourish Medical Center and rescued by the incredible Dr. DJ Sims. SHE CHANGED MY LIFE. After about 4-6 months (I had some serious hormonal imbalances), I NO LONGER HAVE ACNE. MY FACE IS SMOOTH AND CLEAR! I remember reading other people's reviews of them saying they no longer have acne and wishing and praying I would get to the day where I could write the same review. And here I am. It will be all be okay, I promise. You will get there too! :) First of all, you don't need to live in San Diego to see these doctors. They do zoom which is awesome! Nourish Medical is a dream doctor's office. The staff is so sweet and you always feel taken care of. Now let me talk about Dr. DJ Sims - the best naturopathic acne doctor ever. She is so friendly, fun, extremely knowledgable and so easy to talk to. She makes you feel heard (our appointments are usually 1 hour, once a month) unlike regular doctors who push you out the door after 3 minutes. She gets down to the ROOT of the issues you're having and prescribes special herbs & supplements to tackle those specific issues. She gave me an amazing hormonal urine test (called the Dutch test) which told us my hormones were out of whack. She also TEACHES you why these things are happening to your body (for me, birth control and years of antibiotics were a leading cause) and what the specific herbs will do to help my body. I have learned SO MUCH about the body and feel like I have the tools to treat myself in the future if I ever have flare ups. Yes, naturopathic doctors are expensive. AND YES THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. If you feel hopeless, out of options and not yourself anymore... do yourself a favor and call the office. My happiness and confidence are back and I finally feel like myself again! THANK YOU TO NOURISH MEDICAL :)

I was referred to Nourish by a friend. I browsed their web site and read over the 'Providers and…read moreStaff' bios to try and decide which doctor I wanted to see based on my needs. Honestly, it was a bit of a shot in the dark. Prices of visits vary depending on who you see. I called to make an appointment, and was disappointed to find out it was about 3 months before I could get in. I was called and offered an earlier appointment when someone else cancelled, but I couldn't make it, so I stuck with my original appointment time. The front desk staff were always pleasant when I interacted with them. You have the option to visit in person or through an on-line virtual video visit. For my first visit, I decided to go in-person as I wanted to make a connection with the doctor and for her to really "see me". The office is very clean, modern and upscale, although not 'cold and clinical'. The decor colors are welcoming and serene. There is a waiting room and then you're called back to your doctor's office and you walk through a common area with a large table. There's a small restroom and a phlebotomist's room. I left after my first visit (which was about an hour) with my head spinning slightly as I felt like I had some 'homework' to do before my next visit. This included downloading an app, through which to order supplements and ordering said supplements. Organizing getting bloodwork (which, after some research turned out to be less expensive through a 3rd party lab, not through the Nourish phlebotomist), ordering a prescription through a compound pharmacy and purchasing and utilizing a continual glucose monitor through another retail outlet. While wearing the monitor, I had to enter any food consumed and any exercise activity into the glucose monitor app. Communication with your Nourish doctor is done through a 'patient portal'. Any messages I sent were usually answered within a couple of days. I also called the front desk a few times with questions. For my second visit, I chose the convenience of meeting virtually on-line to save the commute time. This visit was about 40 minutes, done through the portal. The doctor I chose was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant, but not particularly warm and bubbly. She didn't smile much. Not a lot of pleasantries like , 'How was your summer?' or 'How was the drive here?' or whatever, just strictly down to business. That's OK, but I like a little bit more of a friendlier/interactive bedside manner. Between two visits, some bloodwork (outside my provider network), several supplements, a compound pharmacy prescription and mail delivery, plus purchasing a glucose monitor, (also out of my provider network), I spent just over $1,100. After my second visit, it kind of occurred to me that the operation relies a little heavily on the recommendation of supplements which you order through a portal they suggest -- obviously they make a commission. (I was told by the front desk to 'Not order through Amazon'!) I didn't feel like the first set of supplements had done much, so I decided not to order the second set that was suggested. I felt I was given very minimal nutritional advice. I'm glad I gave Nourish and naturopathy a try and I was pleased that I was tested/monitored for things that my regular medical provider wouldn't bother testing for, however, ultimately I didn't feel like it solved much for me. There is free on-site parking.
