He then proceeded to change the date of our meeting times twice (once on the actual day), and he completely didn't show on another time and claimed we had agreed on a different time but I sent him a photo of our text exchange to prove we hadn't. I believe in giving folks chances, but this was the third time of flaking and at this point I asked for my money back. He was ok with that and claimed he'd send me a check. Then a week went by. Then two. Then two more. He said it "got lost in the mail"--I waited another month. He still claimed he'd drop by with it and he never did. Eventually, I had to file a claim with my credit card company to get my money back. The owner of the gym even asked Gerard to leave because he's done this to other people too. Find someone more reliable.

The only other "affordable" gym in the area is the YMCA, and that is always insanely packed. Sonoma Fit has great value for money. It's not overly crowded, has great music, people are friendly. There aren't group classes, locker rooms or showers. Just gym stuff and bathrooms. So make sure to keep your expectations in check - you'll get a great workout without breaking the bank, but it isn't fancy!
