I've never shopped at Coach before but my amazing experience last night has made me excited to return soon. I'm *thrilled* to support their rebrand. I've shopped at many different designer stores and boutiques but haven't ever felt compelled to leave a review. I walked in wanting to look at the black Lana 23 and ended up snagging the last black one left. Well, my bf snagged it as a surprise for my birthday! The store was clean, well lit, brightly colored, and featured a Coachtopia section in the back (read about it if you haven't.) From what I gathered in a previous review, Coachtopia is kind of like a limited-time pop-up so go check it out asap (available online as well.) I loved all of their offerings. Truly something for every generation or style in this meticulously curated store. The host, perhaps manager, was so welcoming then attentive yet unobtrusive.. as was the sales associate at checkout who immediately got us some water (I was dying of thirst) upon asking + immediately got me assistance with trying on a long coat. They had some incredible items on sale as well. I regret not checking out the downstairs section! I did see some beautiful bomber jackets, pants, and accessories on the ground floor though, and I was a fan of how they sectioned off the perfumes/colognes/scarves/hats. So many different fabrics, textures, colors, prints, as well as a selection of neutral-toned but fun outerwear pieces. Can't understate how charming and friendly the 2 women we interacted with were, even during our short time there. Upon looking around, everyone we saw seemed happy to be there and happy to help. Just a viiiibe and made the purchase feel fun instead of super transactional, especially since the associate checked us out then and there next to the purses instead of at a traditional register and got the bag ready while we looked around. As for the bag itself, I am in love. It checks every box for functionality, versatility, durability, price for the quality, and style. Trendy shape for current season but classic enough to withstand trends as a whole. read more

This store and the people in it are lovely. I received help from David & Claire, they were kind & very personable. Both made me laugh, feel welcomed and were very patient with my indecisiveness. We ran through so many different types of bags, including ones that they had to run and grab because they weren't on display. I ended up leaving with sandals, a bag I've been on the fence about splurging on for a little bit now, and a smile on my face. I would 100% shop here again the next time I'm in New York. This Coach store is neat - they have a studio area where you can have your bag embossed or add custom elements. You can even design a custom bag here and they will make it for you exactly to your specifications. That was something different for Coach that I've never seen. I saw a couple designing a bag in the studio surrounded by colors and leathers. How cool! Not a huge selection of handbags inside but there were a few cute ones. Downstairs was a small amount of clothing for men and women. Not a large selection inside or a lot of inventory - but the custom studio is the real draw. read more

Beautiful store, however I didn't have the best experience with the customer service. Walking in the employees were all very generous and attentive. I brought my coach bag in bc you can get free monograms on the hangtag, I asked for the service and the worker helping me was very sweet. They were busy, said it would take 30-40 mins and told me I could give them my info so they could call when it was finished. I decided to give them my number, my phone had been acting up so I also gave them my mothers number as well, the worker had specifically stated "they would call when it was done". We left the store, walked around and then more than an hour passed and smth seemed off. We walked back to the store, and they had closed, luckily they were still workers inside. I freaked out bc they never called after they specifically said they would when it was done! I don't play about my belongings, especially smth so expensive. The worker was extremely rude and sarcastic, my expressions were enough to get the attention of a worker. She mocked us and was super sarcastic making rude facial expressions. Once she realized after many attempts of pointing to my bag and signal to her she asked for my name and signaled she was going to get it, and for me to calm down. She opened the door and was so rude continuing to mock me and tell me to calm down. I understand it closed and it was my responsibility to check, but it was also their responsibility to call after they SPECIFICALLY asked for my number so I wouldn't have to wait in the store, so much so I gave them TWO phone numbers and never got a call (we made sure to check any missed calls). The hangtag was done nicely, but we won't go there again due to the rude customer service. I definitely don't play abt my coach bag. read more

Here again with super excited about Coachtopia products and they will be here for a period of time then the store will go back to regular Coach boutique. Staff always very welcoming, friendly and nice. Even the store many times has new stuff that isn't on the official website yet, that is why I went today but the bag I wanted to see wasn't there yet. Stopped by to pick up a free flower bouquet that they were giving out in advance of mother's day. They were wrapped in a cute brown packaging that said Coach and the staff were all so friendly throughout the whole process. My friend (male) was with me though, and had to explicitly ask for flowers as they assumed he wouldn't want.. :( read more

Walked in while shopping in SOHO, told them I was looking at new wallets for myself. I was directed downstairs where the male items were and the staff were helpful and courteous. They laid out all the wallets that fit the guidelines I was considering and it was nice being able to see my options visually instead of having to look one by one. Checking out was a breeze and felt like I was taken care of every step of the way. Fun fact is you get free repairs within 1 year of purchase date, and you get free lifetime cleaning and oiling any time at any non-outlet coach store! While leaving via LYFT I was able to comfortably sit for 10 minutes on the comfortable couches relaxing in the store instead of waiting outside in the heat! read more

The sales team here is extraordinary, going over and above expectations, and with a special thanks to Stanley and Geysel. I was having difficulties finding a particular Coach bag that was sold out everywhere: here in NYC, online, at the outlets.... The two of them tracked down the bag in their Chicago store, and made arrangements for payment and delivery. They could have just said 'sorry' and called it a day, but went that extra EXTRA step. This location was just remodeled as of Friday. The location was beautiful. The merchandise included many exclusive looking items. The sales people were very helpful and not too high pressure. 10/2018 Coach in SoHo is a special treat! The historic interior architecture & sophisticated downtown style of this NYC shop are a stunning backdrop befitting of the Coach brand. I am a huge Coach fan & enjoy visiting stores when traveling. It's especially exciting finding aesthetically unique locations like this. In addition to carrying pieces from their current collection, including Mens downstairs, I believe this store carries some runway pieces. It also has a workshop for "Made to Order" Rogues & monogramming. Sales associates were upbeat & friendly. I ordered a custom tabby back in September while I was on holiday in New York. The associate was lovely and helped me design and pick out all parts of my purse. I was told it would take 8 weeks for the purse to be crafted and then shipped to their store to be "checked" for accuracy. After it was "checked" the store would then ship it to me (as I live on the other side of the country). As I had a great experience inside the store, I was not expecting what followed. After my bag had gotten to the store, I was then texted that it was ready for pick up. I reminded them the bag was supposed to be shipped to me and they confirmed again that would not be an issue. The main issue came when the bag arrived... the purse was missing the embossing I had chosen and both C locks. After reaching out again to an associate for these two mistakes, they said they would check on my C locks and I would need to either ship back the tag to get embossed or go to another store ( I ended up having to drive a hour to the closest store that could fix this issue). Another issue then came after I received the missing C locks, one of the locks was incorrect/not the correct color. The locks also came with no protective packaging, only tossed in a cardboard box with very little care. In total, I had three issues with this order that was supposed to have been "checked" prior to shipping. I am very disappointed by the amount of care/quality that was put into this "luxury" item and would not recommend ordering a custom bag here unless you live close to a coach store. read more

I stopped into the Coach store on 12/26 at 12:45 PM to return/exchange a Christmas gift that I had received. As soon as I entered the store, Claire smiled and welcomed me. I told her that I had received a wallet, but wanted something a bit smaller. She asked me to follow her to the back of the store where wallets and credit card holders were on display. I picked one that I liked and Claire processed the return/exchange. Claire had a smile on her face the entire time, was extremely pleasant and friendly. Thank you! read more

I was trying on shoes just like the other ladies in the room and the sales lady purposely offered water to other clients. So you only offer water to people who wear/have purchased coach bags? Let me be clear: water wasn't offered to me or this larger black lady. I've been to many higher end stores and this is blatantly rude. The service was so slow. I received a gift card recently for $100, so decided to pop into this store today. The sales people seemed friendly enough, and pointed me towards appropriately priced merchandise. There seems to be a fairly limited selection in this ground level and basement store. When I settled on a scarf, they didn't have any more in stock, and I didn't want to take the one that was pawed by all the other consumers. The clerk seemed slightly annoyed, with my direct comment that I didn't really want it, if they didn't have more "in the back". I oddly felt like Larry David as I left the store without a purchase. Small wallets, earings, and scarves are the main items in the "under $100" category. I think I'll dump the gift card on ebay to recoup 80% in cash. read more

Even in NYC I knew I would eventually find a Coach store and beg the BF to stop so I could browse the beautiful bags. Alas, it happened and the BF happily obliged my need for a detour from finding a place for dinner for some light shopping. This is a two story Coach store and carries more of the collection than most other Coach stores I've frequented. Not just bags, they also carry apparel, accessories, shoes, and even some of the men's collection downstairs. I found a couple bags I really loved and enjoyed looking over. I didn't buy anything today as is the case most of the time with me in a Coach store, I tend to take my time and come back at a later date to purchase. The sales associate helping us was friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed speaking with her, although usually I'm not a fan of being followed around the store, so I can see this becoming an annoyance for other customers. I enjoy the Coach brand and enjoy each and every bag for different reasons. I plan on having a Coach bag in every color and pattern one day - mark my words. read more

Our first time at this location. We are visiting from San Diego and we're walking by when an item caught our eye. We walked in and we're automatically greeted by the staff. We asked about a certain item and David was able to show us the item, and other options that weren't out on display. By far one of the best customer service in retail I have had in years. Not only was he asking important questions as to what was our style, what we were interested but showed us multiple options and gave us details on the materials and what he recommends for long term. This is a rather small store, small selection, not much going on, the employees are friendly which I really appreciate. I dress like a bum, seriously I've been asked to leave hi-end stores, I've been ignored, looked upon disdainfully, even when I'm obviously shopping for something, I mean seriously who the hell is a salesperson to judge, you sell the stuff not own it...except for maybe the comp gifts they give at xmas... i make way more money than you do... but i digress.. One employee, Raymond, absolutely made me have to review this store. He was a dear, friendly, helpful, made good suggestions, knew the brand really well. Knew which bag would fit what style. I came to this Collection retail store simply for sizing purposes; however, the sales personnel (Chiharu) was still accommodating. Coach's customer service mantra has to be "every customer encounter, is a potential sale". This is a very special store. What first caught my eye from the street was the runway pieces in the window ... gorgeous and unique. Their spring stuff is soooo great, and I loved browsing the rest once i stepped inside. The fantastic and handsome clerk then showed me the customization bench in the back ... an expert craftsman is on site to help you create and embellish your own bag. I bought a pair of very cute spring slides - if it stops raining I may even get to wear them soon! read more

I moved out of state and still do my shopping from this store - here's why: This store is the best... I don't order online, I order from one of their sales associates. The selection is fantastic in-store, but I like to wait for sales and spend a lot of time browsing online. I probably shop here 2-3 times per year just for shoes and purses. The best thing is how expedient service is, as they are never understaffed. If you go, ask for Jenelle, she is really helpful and follows up when there are sales so that you can save some money as you splurge :) read more

I've shopped at several different Coaches around NYC. This store has a pretty decent selection (harder to find bags, outerwear, good shoe selection). However, what absolutely drives me crazy is the "friendliness" of the sales associates. I am the type of person who likes to have someone there to answer questions if I have them, but to otherwise leave me alone. Today, when I visited the sales associate kept on pushing for personal details (what was in my shopping bag from another store, where did I work, what was I doing over the weekend, and not taking the hint from my short answers. I didn't really feel comfortable sharing all of that information with her, or having any type of conversation and felt like I had to make an effort to be polite. If Coach is trying to position itself as a luxury store then it should hire more clued in sales associates. read more
