Our king size bed was quite comfortable and the refrigerator and microwave were fully functional; my first issue, however is that while the TV was centrally located in the room we only had one chair and had to ask for a additional chair to be brought to our room and then a minor thing is that the quality of toilet paper (1 ply sheets) this hotel supplies it's customers is of absolutely poor quality almost like sandpaper.

In a review like this you could pick things apart, but the truth is this was like staying at grandma's house. The rooms we're well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the restrooms were nice. I'm using plurals because my group had two rooms not just one room. The staff and hospitality were exceptional at the Navasota Café downstairs where we had our complementary breakfast is always a nice experience. So to answer the question, would you stay here again? The answer is yes and I'm sure we will. Who doesn't want to stay at grandma's house when it's one block away from one of your favorite places to go in Texas, Unity Theater.

By experience hotel services and quality are largely dependent upon the management. We found the facility to be clean, well maintained and, above all, superbly managed (Al Patel - GM onsite every day). The staff (Josh, Valerie*, Karla, Keith and John - front desk; and Esperanza* - breakfast attendant), were extremely professional, friendly and customer-oriented. It was a pleasure to stay there and we will do so again when in Brenham.

I kind of expected the more basic kind of foods usually served like Costco pastries, watery bland eggs, keurig coffee, tea, etc. What we got was freshly cooked foods such as French toast, eggs, sausage, biscuits, bacon, yogurt parfaits, and fresh fruit. This little inn is perched at the top of a hill just far enough away from town to feel like you are way out in the country, but close enough that you could drive down the road for a midnight taco if you're feeling peckish. It is warmly decorated without being garishly "country," and the room we stayed in (Sage) was very comfortable with it's high ceilings and friendly colors. The shower in our room was spacious, although the shower head was mounted quite low (if I had to pick at nits, this would be my only complaint). The bed was wide and soft (I should caution you about the risk of slipping into a mid-afternoon coma if you lay on it after a big meal). We signed up for the cooking class with Pamela Murski and it was an absolute delight. She is so friendly and fun to be with. The instruction was very low-pressure, as she walked us through the preparation of a 5 course meal, supplying great advice on technique and plenty of interesting stories about the food, the (very fresh!) ingredients, and her experiences. The food was amazing, and for this one day, it was easy to forget about the cares of the big bad world out there and focus on good food and the people you are with. I think that is exactly why we came - and I wish we didn't have to leave.

Pamela is an excellent hostess and she makes sure that you have everything you need. We found this B&B when we were looking for an elopement package. We are having a big wedding next year but wanted to do something just for the two us before then. Pamela ensured everything was taken care of for the ceremony and that our day was special. We didn't have to worry about anything, we got married by the gazebo, drank wine on the porch and ate an outstanding meal prepared by Pamela. Dinner consisted of homemade soup, Sheppard's pie made with lamb, venison and ground pork with twice roasted mashed potatoes on top and for desert we had an apple pie sort of dish with Blue Bell ice cream on top. To die for!! We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all the features of the B&B but unfortunately we had to go back to Houston. We will definitely be back for a weekend of R&R soon!!

The room that smelled the entire hall up had a tower down by the door and the window was open so they tried to place us next to this room. Never go here. Bedding had marks on it also. Blood in the heater no iron no coffee pot. Horrible.
