I had forgotten that my vehicle, which had recently been serviced, didn't have a house key on the key ring. So, I started looking for all the 24-hour locksmiths in the Smithfield area. Surprisingly, he was the only one who picked up the phone, even though every other business claimed to offer 24-hour service. When he finally arrived 20 minutes later, he tried the front door for about 20 minutes but couldn't get in because the locks were upside down. Then, he tried the side garage door, which is when the fun began. He tried to pick the deadbolt and lock for about 30 minutes, but he couldn't get it because the locks were also upside down. I explained that I was renting the property and hadn't installed these locks. By this time, it was almost 1:00 am. He then suggested drilling the deadbolt lock. I was exhausted from holding my phone as a flashlight and standing out in the cold. After drilling for 10 minutes, he finally drilled the deadbolt and used bags on the door. I got into the garage and had one more door to get into the kitchen. I couldn't pick that one either after trying for 10 minutes, but I was able to after removing the trim and using bags on the door. By this time, it was around 2:00 am. In conclusion, he charged me $150 and said he would come back on Sunday to replace the deadbolt he had drilled, but he never came. I called him on Monday and he said he had forgotten about Sunday and would come on Monday evening, January 19th, but he never came. Then, he said he was coming on Tuesday morning, but I hadn't read his messages and was already halfway to my work site. I asked if he could come in the evening, but I could see he had read my message, but he didn't respond. So, I'm just going to take the L train and tell my story. I'm going to replace the lock myself and keep moving forward

So anyways Triple A sent us a tow truck and driver from Steven's Towing. He wasn't really a talker that much, but I believe he was more focused on helping us get into that vehicle to reunite us with our dogs. And to get us back into the Vehicle of course. So anyways since my wife's car has a newer vehicle with better security around the door frames(the trims), he wasn't able to get in, he said he didn't want to ruin the vehicle with the tools that he had, which is totally fine and reasonable. So anyways he tried, couldn't do it but he tried his best which counts. So then triple A sent another locksmith out to our location at the rest stop, which that 2nd company was called: Eastern Locksmith. And that locksmith had old school tools which he got into the vehicle which I was super surprised, but hey Steven's Towing did a fabulous job too!! I needed a new roof and I contacted three different contractors that I felt uncomfortable with. I…read morefelt like I couldn't really trust them because I don't usually climb up on my roof. I don't like heights very much. But I will say that Ricky with Lanes Contracting and his crew are superior at what they do and they stand by their work you can turn your back and go about your business and trust that when you turn back around you'll be amazed. I paid the contractor in cash for their services. And I got a phone call a couple hours later stating that I gave them $50 more than the total for the work. A lot of companies would have never called me back to return the $50 these guys did!!! Their trust worthy and they do an excellent job if I could give them 10 out of 10 stars I would. If you're looking for a new roof on your home or just need repairs done I would highly suggest calling Lanes Contracting you'll get your moneys worth I guarantee you that.
