I hired Eavis Gargage Doors based on the 5-star rating online. My exerience with this company…read morebegins with them canceling our first appointment, had to reschedule for the following week. On the second appointment Aavis Co. sent to us a subcontractor they partnered with. The technician could not resolve the problem with the existing equipment. I agreed to buy their garage door opener. Work was done, we tested it, and it worked. We paid, requested an invoice/receipt, but technician said he could not give me one, that the office would e-mail me one. I need the invoice to send to my HOME WARRANTY COMPANY with my claim so they can help pay for the new door opener. We check email that night but nothing. Not in SPAM or in-box. The next day we go to use the opener; it opens, but it will not stay down after pressing on the remote to shut the door. I call them, they send the same technician. He works on it again, he tested the door, again, in front of me, and it works. That night the same problem comes back. We clicked the button it would shut, then it would open right back up again (still no invoice). A different technician came back a third time, finally it's fixed. He said a bunch if things were done wrong one of them was the wiring and the sensors were installed incorrectly. I still cannot complete my claim with the warranty company because they have still not provided me with an invoice. The job was completed on August 18, 2025, and we have yet to see an invoice from them. They charged me over $700. and took a lot of my time. :-(

My 14-yr old home had 3 deadbolt locks in need of repair--one I couldn't get the key all of the way…read morein, one I could not get the key out and one that would not turn. I sent a text to Loc Doc on Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning I went to the web site and filled out a simple form and Tuesday evening Steve called me up. Wednesday 9:00 am Steve and David came to the house, took off the three locks and quickly determined that corrosion was the problem for all three and explained what I should do in the future to prevent. They cleaned up the mechanisms, re-installed, made sure that they were working smoothly and then went and sprayed SuperSlick into all of the other locks. They were here (a truly remote location in Pitt County) for about 90 min and charged $175. Then they headed across the creek to Yoder's for breakfast. Good guys, great service. Recommend highly.
