Pricy but a must do when visiting the city. Its just one of those things to check off a bucket list and you only ever have to come once. I got general admission plus the skypod visit, highest point in all of the Americas and the view is something to awe about. On a beautiful sunny day, this is the nicest side of Toronto you'll ever see. Like others have commented on, I too thought the glass floor would have have covered a larger section but it was still fun to peek down and despite not being afraid of heights, it did make me a little dizzy. 7/23/20 I have been to two times with the Gow School as student. I have been here once with my parents. The memorable time was my second time as a student. Why, because there was a woman I was falling for during that Summer of 93 to 94.  I remember seeing this both times I was in Toronto,  but we only went up it once. I never took photos back then so I have nothing to show for it. Nevertheless,  spending as much time as possible with the woman named Sarah, was a lot of fun.    Sarah, myself and a guy named Gabriel or Gabe for short, hung out with each other as much as possible.       Evidently,  through our travels in Toronto,  Ontario, Niagara Falls  and New York, we ended up becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.  She was 19 and I was 16. My liking for older woman started with Sarah...  I had gotten to know Sarah before out trip to Toronto,  but the turning point for her and I might have started in Toronto Canada.     The CN Tower will be the symbol of how things turn out for us that Summer.   What can I say, great things Happen to me in Canada...my wife would love to live there.  It can happen:) read more

How is this not the number 1 attraction listed? I am a bit perplexed how the gardens and a museum are over the CN tower. I have never heard of anyone coming to Toronto and not seeing the CN tower. It is absolutely incredible and since Toronto isn't as touristy as a place like Dubai, you can really enjoy it and take it all in in the square at the base of the tower. I can't remember how much it costs to go to the top, we ended up passing on it because I was afraid of being stuck in the lift, lol. Check it out, though! read more

Came here on a Tues and the wait to go up the tower was 2 hours. We paid additional $$ so we'd have a time slot. Still waited about 45 mins to go up the elevator. Jam packed, A/C wasn't high enough so it felt very hot and humid. We ate lunch in the cafe/restaurant (downstairs) and it was not worth the money we paid. They were not organized at all and frequently filled orders out of sequence so a few of us (including me) had to wait about 25 mins to get our food. Outstanding view of Toronto! Yes, you pay a hefty admission fee of $35 per adult (kids at $25) for the privilege of a 1 min. elevator ride up and down, but the commanding vista is superb. Be sure to pick a sunny day to enjoy a bird's eye view of the sprawl of metropolitan Toronto and tall buildings (casinos) of Niagara Falls that are visible across Lake Ontario. Walking outside on the observation deck was fun, but it was a bit windy. Our family arrived on a sunny August morning (10:00am) and managed to avoid long lines. It's best to avoid the afternoon (12pm-6pm) unless you enjoy testing your patience. The elevator ride was breathtakingly fast. My two sons (10 yrs, 8 yrs) enjoyed the ride and views. I would recommend the CN Tower as one of the first sights to visit if you're new to Toronto because it gives you a superb overview of the entire region. Based on Yelp reviews, I did not pay the extra $12 to go to the upper platform. However, if you plan to visit at least 3 of 5 sights included with the Toronto CityPass ($67 per adult, $41 per child), I think it's worth investing in the CityPass (which we purchased at the CN Tower). The glass floor experience is nerve-wracking, but fun. Overall, I would recommend the CN Tower as a "must-do" sight for Toronto visitors (weather permitting) despite the hefty price tag. read more

Don't bother if it's a cloudy day- it'll be disappointing. BUT because of this, we were able to go to the tippy top without having to pay an extra $15 (which it is NOT worth). It's kind of ridiculous how overpriced it is to ride an elevator up a building after waiting in line for daaays. And then more waiting if you have a time to go to the top section. The top is the size of a small bathroom so yiiikes if you're claustrophobic. The tower is pretty crowded but at least there are some tables and chairs to sit! You can order food if you would like. I expected more out of the glass floors overlooking the ground but this wasn't anything like Chicago's skydeck, it was so sad. (I say just go there instead!) I've been to a bunch of these tippy top towers with views and this one just isn't worth it, but knock yourself out since all the other ones aren't in Toronto lol. read more

If you're a tourist in toronto, the CN tower is sort of a staple but there's way more interesting landmarks to check out, like Kensington Market or St Lawerence Market. But, if you want a cool photo of a cool building, or your feet through the glass floor, check out the CN tower. Admission is expensive and you usually need to wait a bit before going on the elevator. If you don't like heights, this definitely isn't the attraction for you. They also have a restaurant that's expensive but the food is decent. First make sure to purchase a ticket online to avoid waiting for the ticket lines. These lines were so freaking long. Not many people know about purchasing online so take advantage of it. If you do, then you skip the ticket line and head straight to the actual CN tower line. The actual line was long afff too. We waited about 1.5 hours on mid afternoon on a Sunday. During our wait they did have a performer that was doing entertaining acts to keep us well, entertained while we waited. So kudos on that! Needless to say but there was an insane amount of people. After getting to the top of the tower, the view was amazing. You could see everything in Toronto, the surrounding cities, and nearby islands. Amazing but pretty much what you would expect. There wasn't anything too special about it. The top had gift shops, restaurants, and tables to eat at. Also, there was a space where you could stand on glass and get a true top down view of below. It was pretty cool and it made me queasy. Being outside and enjoying a fenced view of the top of the city was pretty cool. Especially the high altitudes of wind blowing. Make sure to not drop anything! It was hard to take beautiful pictures because it was just too crowded. Someone's bound to disrupt the photo taking experience. read more

I visited here with my boyfriend using the city pass. This is the iconic tall building in Toronto. We came in the early morning around 9am. If you want to avoid the crowd, please come early. Theres two floors for regular observation. The glasses were big and clear. The views were great. Too bad it was a gloomy day. There's also a gift shop at the end of the tour. If you had ever visited any tower in NY, Chicago or another country please don't waste your money and better treat yourself to a nice dinner in any awesome place of Toronto. Yes, another tourist destination, but I took full advantage of all my fellow yelpers' advice: ~ For starters, we did the 360 Restaurant and basically got a ride to the top for free. Granted we spent about $208cad for lunch (for two), but it was worth just eating there. ~ Expensive, YES, but the food was good! And we just came here on a weekday for lunch. No issues getting a reservation, as weekends and dinner time tend to be long waits. And we just settled on eating in the inner dining tables versus the more romantic outer dining tables. Still plenty of photo opps! ~ Once leaving the restaurant, you'll have access to all the observation areas/levels except the SkyPod. As other yelpers mentioned, the SkyPod isn't really that much of a difference nor really worth it. I didn't do it. Nor did I care about the SkyWalk. ~ The Glass Floor is really cool to check out, if there aren't twenty million kids jumping on it testing the 2 1/2 inch thickness of the glass. There's only one side that has this and everyone basically crowds around it to get a pic. Ugggh! ~ Speaking of crowds, come here within the last hour of any day and you'll enjoy more because it's less tourista trafficy. ~ Surrounding the Glass Floor level is access to outside viewing area. Bring a jacket, as it can get pretty damn windy up here! And there's only one door open for wheelchair access. I'm not sure why they locked up the other three entrances. Probably due to high winds. But I even witnessed some bonehead trying to shove his mom in a wheelchair through a revolving door. Didn't fit, can you let me through please! Nothing against handicapped people, but I assume there are reasons why the other doors were locked. ~ Overall, I ignored the crowd like they weren't there, and just soaked in the views! 2200th Review CN Tower is Toronto's ultimate urban adventure and the wait time is only rivaled by the Toronto traffic on any given day. I've visited Toronto many times and visiting the CN Tower has always been a bucket list item for me. So when I planned my most recent trip here there was no doubt I would work this into my itinerary. Regardless of what you may read the wait times can be extreme - that is unless you're willing to spend a little cash and being an American in Canada everything is a bargain and if it's possible and it is to knock off approximately 2.5 hours off the wait to get inside the lobby time sign me up. Yes it's possible and it's absolutely worth the price of admission - for only $89 CAD ($70.80 USD) per person you can purchase the "Front of the Line Experience" also known as the "Premier Experience" this much sought after ticket can only be purchase the day of your visit and is sold in limited quantities, it includes access to The Lookout Level - The Glass Floor Level and The SkyPod levels along with some other perks. There is no need to wait in the outside line to purchase this ticket - tell the attendant at the entrance you are purchasing the Premier Experience and they physically walk you through the entire process with no waiting to get to the ticket booth. Once we purchased the two VIP Passes we were greeted by a CN Tower Associate and were taken directly to the elevator through the VIP entrance and boarded the elevator with absolutely no waiting, we were literally on our way to the top within 10 minutes after walking up to the entrances where hundreds of people were standing in the sun waiting to get into the first waiting area to purchase tickets. We started at the SkyPod Level the highest public access level which is approx 33 stories above the LookOut Level only the antenna is higher, it's small but absolutely the most amazing view possible - breathtaking is an understatement. Wearing the VIP pass around your neck has its advantages, everywhere we went in the Tower we were escorted to the front of the line no waiting on any of the levels or for any of the elevators. I won't get into the details of the view because I could not do them justice and there really not much that hasn't already been said. This was on many "to-do" lists for Toronto but not sure that the cost is worth the experience. If you are buying tickets for the CN Tower packaged with the city pass or with the aquarium, I guess it's ok. The whole experience is really just the viewing area which is super crowded and you have to wait between many many people to take photos. Also the slightly lower level viewing is under construction so there's literally just the main viewing platform you get for the base fare. Whole experience was perhaps 20 minutes. I'd say go if you are really dying to see the city views but if you've been up any other super tall building it's all kind of the same. read more

It is a must see for everyone who lives in Canada or North America, and certainly one of the first spot any tourist coming to Toronto must visit. Beautiful views when you get to the top, good restaurants to dine and or grab a quick snack.. But that lineup and weight from the main gate downstairs all the way to the top, makes you regret coming there and definitely rethink three times before visiting again! There is a security check before getting in to the ticket booth. The booth offered tickets for entrance at $38 per adult, or a Toronto City Pass for $88, but the worker cautioned us that unless we do more than three attractions, it wouldn't be worth it. Because we only wanted to see the tower and Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, she recommended buying the combo tickets on the Ripley's website for both the aquarium and tower, to save money. We ended up doing that, and saved about $15 total (we paid about $53 per person for both attractions). The line to get up to the top was very long, but the view was so worth it. When a tourist in Toronto, one must visit the CN Tower if only for the views of the city and the lake. Cost $38 CDN. The elevator ride is 52 secs and features a view plus a partially glass floor. The elevator takes your to the main viewing floors which have section that is a glass floor, which you can see all the way down to the Ripley's aquarium , if there aren't a 100 people trying to do the same thing. The outdoor observation area is on the lower level surrounded by a fence, so you can throw things off the tower. The next level has a couple of bars where you can get a drink and a snack. Or you can enjoy a meal in the 360 restaurant(we did not). We enjoyed a Tower Lager & wine (from the world's highest wine cellar) while watching the World Cup and enjoying the amazing views on a pretty day. We did not do the Edge walk which is an extra cost. You need a timed ticket to get to the higher observation location. You get the timed ticketed when you get up to the main observation platform. All tours end in the gift shop naturally. read more

CN tower was our last stop of the day. It was about mid afternoon when we got out of Ripley's Aquarium and walked next door to the tower lobby. Bought city pass for daughter and I, a must even on a cold April day and there's a long line at every tourist destination around the city. You get admissions to five attractions including Toronto Zoo for a set price. The elevator ride to the top takes less than a minute and the operator gives you a brief history of the building. There's two observation levels, sky terrace and glass floors which the kids loved running around completely fearless from height. If you get hungry there's casual dining and the upscale 360 restaurant. We didn't get to dine at either restaurants due to time constraints. Although it was a breeze going up using the pass, there was definitely a line taking the elevator down. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes. read more

The view from the top is breathtaking and it really proves the vastness of Toronto. Apparently the CN Tower is the home of the highest wine cellar, which is kind of cool. And if you're really feeling fancy, they offer a unique dining experience at the top. My favorite view of the tower was actually from Toronto Island, so definitely go there to get an amazing shot of the city. Me and my family really enjoyed my visit to the CN Tower. It's definitely one of the tallest towers I have ever been in. Toronto is a very clean and gorgeous city with even more beautiful skyscrapers so the view was absolutely breathtaking. You could be standing in any spot in the tower and still see some awesome buildings. My favorite part was probably the see-through glass floors that you can step on, sit down, or lay. You get to see how high you actually are and that's both scary and awesome! The only regret I do have is that I didn't go later in the day while the sun was setting because I'm sure it would've been quite some image. When you leave the elevators and go into the gift shop there are some cute little statues of bears and a moose you can take pics with. read more

I was really looking forward to going into the tower because it a tourist attraction and I been in the space needle in Seattle but I must say I was a little disappointed, the deck was looked so could even go out and a see the city view from outside. I did make reservations at the 360 restaurant because it's offered rotating views which was very appealing to me. It's very upscale in there, the food is very expensive, I don't know if I would say it was worth the price but I mean (when in Rome) I had give it a try. I wasn't disappointed in my food it was good but not necessarily pricey good. I never have a problem paying high price when the foOd worth it and the service is worth it. However our waiter wasn't very atTentive he was so worried about the table next to us then us. We had to ask for refills. He took my spouses soda class to refill and it never madE back to the table. I can say I was very disappointed in the service I received there. (FYI the restaurant wasn't very packed-my server had 2 other tables and it was a Monday night there was no reason for him to constantly forget about us. I know being a server can be overwhelming, I use to be one so I am very fair understanding.) My chicken dinner was good noothing to brag about but my ceaser salad was the best part I think of my whole meal. Probably the best salad I ever had. I order sweet potatoes fries for my baby to munch on he loved those, they came with a lemon dip that was very I interesting, but it paired well. So no complaints there. I did order a house drink called the woo woo it came in a souvenir glass(costing $20) but drink was made perfectly with rum and vodka. I don't knOw if I would recommend eating there, but they do have a bar on levEl down where you can drink and enjoy the saME views. The stars are and overall rating with the service I received in the restaurant. The host at the door when entering the restaurant where more attentive and friendly then my server. I've been to the CN Tower a couple of times. It's really cool to see the city from so high up, and makes for a great date spot if you hit up the revolving restaurant (completes a round slowly in over an hours, so no need to worry about getting motion sick!) Aside from the restaurant, there are a few other observation points which can be accessed by elevator, depending which height you want to check things out from. Be prepared: you have to clear security (metal detectors and bag checks) even before purchasing your tickets, and you can expect to wait in line as it is always a popular spot to visit. If you're in Toronto for the first time and looking for something touristy to do or new to see, definitely stop by. There are often ticket combinations you can include this with- I used one that included Ripley's Aquarium nextdoor. It was worth the package! read more

You spend a lot of money for a timed entrance yet they let people queue up for any time. No one is asked what their time is and consequently you have people in line ahead if you for a later time. I asked the ticket desk for assistance and they said it wasn't their department! The people with a later time get at the entrance and then their time is checked and are told to get out of the line. Overhyped and totally a tourist trap. The tower is great to look at, but the inside wasn't so great in my opinion. Yes, you get a good view of Toronto if you taking pics of from the glass windows, but if you were to get a picture from outside the glass windows it's all gated and fenced. Can't really get a good view of it. The glass floor is a joke, I don't know why people were so amazed by it. The worst, this restaurant is a NO GO, watch out and check prices first, I paid 90 CAD for a prime rib smaller than my hand, 45 day aged prime rib and they put it on the grill, it was hard, not even close to what I was expecting, the average per person is 100 dollars, the MOST EXPENSIVE in TORONTO, watch out do not fall for the view, go and pay 45 for the enytrance and go to eat somewhere else, we cam in and were told that had to leave by 7pm(reservation was for 515pm), the waitress was always rushing us, for the drinks, food, all the way even to pay the bill, 5 people 600 dollars bill and the steak HORRIBLE. read more

Just your typical observatory tower, very similar to say the Stratosphere in Las Vegas or the Space Needle in Seattle. Dope views tho but $70 for two people?! We went here on the first weekend of June, but the wait time was not long at all to the to the top. There was a Blue Jay's game happening at the same time (Rogers Centre & Ripley's Aquarium are on same block), so perhaps that made prevented a lot of people from coming to this attraction at the time we visited. The view is really cool, especially since we were able to see the baseball game from where we were up above. The dome was open and we could see the fans in their seats and the baseball players on the field. Pretty cool. We were excited to go to the glass floor part of the tower. This part was rather disappointing. There's not a lot of space on the floor covered by glass, so you kind of have to fight your way through to take photos or wait forever until you're lucky enough to get a spot. A bit disorganized, I'd say. They should have a line for this to make it more enjoyable and less stressful and competitive. The line for the elevator down took longer than the line for the elevator going up. It takes you directly into the gift shop. It was our first visit to Toronto, so we had the City Pass. It was definitely worth it to do the CN Tower, Casa Loma, the ROM, Ripley's Aquarium (right next door to the CN Tower) and the Ontario Science Centre with this pass. read more

What can I say about CN tower that you don't know already? If you have not gone there already...go and be brave and do the Edge Walk.

Hasn't really changed much.. it's the city's landmark and a definite tourist destination for first time Toronto visitors. Just check the weather so you can be sure to see everything! They get quite a number of school and tour groups so you can always call in and ask for the wait times and what the view is like (clear, foggy, etc) since they have regular updates. There can sometimes be an insane line up to get upstairs and to go back down. I recommend getting there early in the morning or just before sunset so you get the nighttime and daytime view. The night time view on a clear day is gorgeous!! It's not an attraction you really will return to, but once in a lifetime, you should visit. Cross that off your bucket list! read more

Made a reservation for 2, and in summary: *A reservation doesn't guarantee a table next to the window. *Poor management. *Average food. *Bad service for that expensive food. *No, I wouldn't go back. Details: We didn't get a table next to the window and they had three tables available right in front of me (they had to clean them though). I asked the server if we could change to a table next to the window (that was the entire purpose of going to that restaurant). The server said that I had to go and look for the manager. YES, I HAD to go and look for the manager, not like the manager was coming to my table. After not having positive results (the wait for those tables was 45 minutes), the server tried to explain (like if I were 3 years old) why my table was the best and I must be happy about it. This I was really looking forward to this place to celebrate a birthday on my team. I made a reservation for 20 and a few people had conflicts and the reservation ended up being 15. There was a little bit of fuss, however staff accommodated for the change. The service was ok. Staff weren't super engaged with us and weren't too friendly. Hostess was very nice though. The food was good but not great which makes it overpriced.The brussel sprouts were slightly under cooked and tad under-seasoned However, their were a number of dishes that were overseasoned (with pepper mainly). The desert was delicious though. Wine list is 5/5. What keeps this restaurant at 4 stars is the amazing view it has. You really can't beat it. If you dine in the restaurant you also get free access to the levels below it and explore the history/more views of the city/CNTower. I'll return for the view and some touristy stuff but that's it. read more

Don't get me wrong, this is a great landmark. But the price does not justify the experience. Yes it's nice to walk on the glass floor and look down into the abyss. Yes it is nice to enjoy the view of all of Toronto from up there... but honestly, that's all you get for the price of about 40$. Children have a minor discount but must still pay. If I come back, I will wait for everyone downstairs as I don't think the price is fair. Parking will be difficult and you will get a parking ticket if you are not careful. read more
