Electrical Installation * Electrical Installation Review -- "I hired Sowell Renovations for an electrical upgrade to accommodate all my appliances, devices for my home office, and power loads without strain and the experience was fantastic. In our 5-bedroom home we needed increased capacity to prevent overloads and nuisance breaker trips. We also needed extra outlets and switches with GFCI and AFCI protection for a proposed kitchenette. An additional panel had to be installed. Their electricians were knowledgeable, safety focused, and explained everything clearly. The work was completed quickly and passed inspection with zero issues. Great value, excellent communication, and top quality results." HVAC & Plumbing * HVAC and Plumbing Review -- "Sowell Renovations handled both HVAC and plumbing upgrades for us, and the service was exceptional. They diagnosed issues accurately, offered honest pricing, and completed the work with impressive skill. I'm truly thankful for Sowell Renovations. My wife wanted basement plumbing improvements. The exposed pipes and running plumbing were placed inside the walls and ceiling creating a cleaner, more finished appearance. Leak resistant materials were used to prevents stains, sagging drywall, and discoloration -- keeping my ceilings looking fresh and smooth. If you're looking for a company to build your deck, pavilion, screened-in room, gazebo...I strongly…read morerecommend All Decked Out. All Decked Out (ADO) replaced our old deck with a beautiful new deck and screened-in room in less than a month, and we're delighted with the results. As advertised, they used high-quality, low-maintenance materials (e.g., Deckorators decking and Woodtone®Tongue & Groove ceiling panels), and the workmanship was excellent. Other things we liked about ADO: * Their photo gallery shows actual photos from projects they completed, instead of a gallery full of stock photos [GOOGLE image search is your friend]. They also have photos of projects they're working on and videos on their Instagram pages (AllDeckedOut513 and AllDeckedOut513.Day2Day). * ADO's website clearly explained their process and what clients can expect after contacting them [See "Start Here"https://alldeckedout513.com/our-process/] * We liked the fact that ADO handles both design and construction. * ADO uses the Builder Trend app, which made communicating with the office and project leaders, invoicing and payments super easy and convenient. The project builder keeps a daily log on the app. If we have any questions post-completion, we can message them via the app. * They have a 3yr builder's warranty. * Everyone was so nice and so patient...Jennifer(admin), Joe & Jessica (the owners), Jeff (project leader), and John & Taylor (our builder and his helper). A big thanks to All Decked Out for bringing our vision to life.

All Decked Out was the only one that required front end homework (beyond what was already available in a web form) -and- charged a "consultation fee" of $100. I hate these fees in every capacity working with contractors, but I can't recall this ever being present outside of plumbers and electricians. I didn't proceed to set-up the consultation because their reviews online and competitive estimate should provide enough knowledge to their potential customer vs. instead of pinning them into working with them because of the thought of, "Well, we've already paid $100 towards working with this company..."

Overall this has been a really fantastic process. We have built and rehabbed many homes, but this…read morewas the 1st time we weren't at the job daily making sure everything was going correctly. We actually stayed away a lot. During this major rehab, not only were we not here daily, but we also allowed assistance from Cyndi, Neal's designer, which was a wonderful experience. As far as Cyndi goes, I showed her what I wanted from all of my saved pictures, ideas of my dream kitchen in my head, and then she would go pick multiple items and I would choose from those. She did this with the flooring, counters, backsplash, cabinetry door styles, etc. Many times my vision might not have been her vision, but she went through it with me, listened and we ended up exactly where we wanted to be. I decided I would do the lighting myself because I enjoy that especially. Not only did Cyndi make this big rehab an easy process, but she made it nice for us and she's a pleasure to work with. I would say all of the guys did a really nice job inside, but we would be remiss if we didn't give a special shout out to Troy, who always seemed to go the extra mile and added many special touches all around. His attention to detail and his work is extraordinary. He truly understands it's the devil in the details and it's the little things that mean a lot. We feel the job would not have run nearly as smoothly if it wasn't for his overall managerial skills, his talent as a carpenter and his determination on delivering a superior product. Obviously we also enjoyed Chuck. He would always answer any questions always tried to be helpful, and was very attentive. Like I said, we liked all of the guys on the job, but we want to mention Ajax, who is very talented at his job, a true craftsman and also goes the extra mile. Although the job was finished a few days late and we do feel that could've been avoided, we are still extremely thrilled with the work that Neal's did and the quality of trades that they hired. They are worth the money. I think the most important question to ask whenever you do anything is, would you use them again? That's certainly a tell all. Absolutely yes, we would use Neal's again.

He came out promptly to review the work I needed and submitted a fair and clear quote. Scope changes were also handled fairly. He arrived as scheduled and completed the tasks efficiently. I found Cody to be professional, respectful, and trustworthy - so much so that I was comfortable having him come and go from my home when I wasn't there. That level of trust is much appreciated. I would absolutely use Cody again for any basic services around the house and highly recommend him to others looking for a reliable multi-skilled handyman.

Working on an older property is much more difficult than a new build, and Vance is very cognizant of the need for respect of an older home. He has been back twice to do other projects, including adding a drain to our patio that we discovered we needed.
