It is now four days later and I can't even get them to tell me someone will come look at the gate to see what needs to be fixed. No one is returning our calls or texts. I have since called another fencing company who came out this morning and repaired at the same day. Clearly all that Eads cares about are new installs and new sales. Not repairs of their work.

We got a huge fence put in. The process was very bad. Poor communication from the office. We…read morenever knew when the workers were going to arrive, but, we had to be there to greet them. We had to pay 1/2 up front. The workers showed up the evening BEFORE they were scheduled. The next day, they showed up at 11:00. The next day, they showed up at 2:00 PM, with just two people. And, when the workers were done, they had us check their work and we found UGLY gates that had to be redone. We also found fence panels (the parts between the posts) that moved back and forth and some even slid out of the fence. THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE DONE with those conditions. We told them that two gates had to be redone. One of them had a picket/slat that was cut in two, lengthwise, so that it would fit. The other gate had one side with 7 pickets and the other side with 8 pickets. So, they had to get new materials to rebuild those gates -- the next day. I called the office the next day and they said that the materials would be arriving late that morning. And, the workers would arrive after that to complete the gates. Since one of the people that I spoke with, Brandon, described my project as "installed", I was under the impression that except for the gates, Mae Fence thought that all the work was done. There was no project manager with whom we could speak. No project manager on site at any time. This shows that the company does not take an interest in their projects. They have no standards of quality and practice. WE had to make sure that the work was done properly and WE are not the professionals. We never signed off on the work. I thought that someone from the company would come out to go over the work and we would have a chance to give them feedback. But, the DAY after the workers left - I got a notice from my credit card that Mae Fence had just gone ahead and run our card for the balance of the payment. I called the company to speak with someone that is supposed to care about the reputation of the company. Before anyone picked up, they asked for the address. Probably to do a review of the situation before listening to me. The person that picked up the phone after a bit of a wait - I believe his name was Adam and he seemed to be one of the owners. I tried to explain to him the issues that we had and my review of their work. He didn't care to hear it. He only wanted to defend himself and his company without even hearing anything I said. Ultimately, before I could get this out, Adam hung up on me. Edited: Adam emailed and then called me back to smooth things over and apologize for the lack of communication, poor workmanship and the way that they made us feel like we were not important. He promised to do better going forward.

As far as Cyndi goes, I showed her what I wanted from all of my saved pictures, ideas of my dream kitchen in my head, and then she would go pick multiple items and I would choose from those. She did this with the flooring, counters, backsplash, cabinetry door styles, etc. Many times my vision might not have been her vision, but she went through it with me, listened and we ended up exactly where we wanted to be. I decided I would do the lighting myself because I enjoy that especially. Not only did Cyndi make this big rehab an easy process, but she made it nice for us and she's a pleasure to work with. I would say all of the guys did a really nice job inside, but we would be remiss if we didn't give a special shout out to Troy, who always seemed to go the extra mile and added many special touches all around. His attention to detail and his work is extraordinary. He truly understands it's the devil in the details and it's the little things that mean a lot. We feel the job would not have run nearly as smoothly if it wasn't for his overall managerial skills, his talent as a carpenter and his determination on delivering a superior product. Obviously we also enjoyed Chuck. He would always answer any questions always tried to be helpful, and was very attentive. Like I said, we liked all of the guys on the job, but we want to mention Ajax, who is very talented at his job, a true craftsman and also goes the extra mile. Although the job was finished a few days late and we do feel that could've been avoided, we are still extremely thrilled with the work that Neal's did and the quality of trades that they hired. They are worth the money. I think the most important question to ask whenever you do anything is, would you use them again? That's certainly a tell all. Absolutely yes, we would use Neal's again.

We love to be outside and plan (and do) spend a lot of time on our deck. Key requirements included: 1) Limited to no obstruction of view out our back windows. 2) Natural look and flow with wooded backyard. 3) Functionality (dining, grilling, entertaining). Matt was very attentive and responsive to our needs. He set expectations and from design through implementation of our deck Matt and his team put on quite a display of pride, craftsmanship, and professionalism providing our family an outdoor living space we know we will enjoy for many years to come. We had a couple of interviews with Matt where we were able to review our requirements and thoughts and Matt did a fantastic job in conceptualizing what we were looking for. He took measurements of the area behind our house and provided a handful of layouts using computer aided design software. We found a layout that was real close to what we thought would be best and worked with Matt on some refinements. Matt helped us determine that Tigerwood would be the best material to provide the quality, value and look we were going for. Matt came up with an awesome tier design that provided room for easy flow out of the house with a couple deck length steps down to a lower area. This layout provided for both functionality and a solution to limit obstruction to our view out of our house. We also decided to go with a black aluminum rail which also blends well with the woods as a back drop. Thomas Decks has many options for material, solutions, and ultimately a one of a kind outdoor living space. Matt set the tone for the project as a very dedicated craftsman who delivers a quality product with great attention to detail. There were just some things that this team does that display's quality. While the deck frame is your traditional pine, they used larger posts and joists. They added a little extra flare to the actual deck floor by framing it in and adding a couple rows of boards that run down the middle of the deck perpendicular to the floor boards. He poured a nice concrete pad where the steps come down which match the shape of the angled staircase. Considering the grade of our back yard he put in a couple small retaining walls and worked with us on putting in a few stepping stones. Thomas Decks does it all! Thomas Decks is who you will want to work with if you are pursuing a deck or outdoor space project. They delivered us a great design with personal touches, a fantastic looking and quality deck, and met all expectations and then some. This family of UC Bearcat Alumni live from one corner of Ohio in the north to the opposite corner in Cincinnati. A little over a year ago we found a 5 story house in Mount Adams for the purpose of gathering as a family and making memories in the city that is so special to us. Our new home boasted 3 outdoor deck spaces (over a 1000 square feet) of prime outdoor living in desperate need of renovation. Thankfully the family of deck and outdoor living artists at ALL DECKED OUT fell in love with the space and the challenge along with us! Joe got the ball rolling with some sketch work for a floating deck and incorporated my husband's yearning for a Pergola to compliment the existing Lanai on the rooftop space. Joe and his team took the time to help us find the perfect roofing company to replace our membrane roof, gutter system and metal soffits. Our contract was signed and our fee schedule set. Jessica brought her creativity literally to their office table, kept the coffee flowing and helped us pick out materials low in maintenance, high in style and practical in design. She made the process fun and exciting, providing us with downloadable product guides and any warranties included. So you are left to assume that their quote covers what you want done. I sent an e-mail to the worker who was out & provided the quote, but he never got back to me. Since I assumed that the job would be done as we desired, I agreed to the work. When they showed up for the job my wife was told that they would not do some of the repair work requested. The work they did do was OK, but it left a big gap between sections of our driveway. Shouldn't have been an issue as they were coming back to caulk the areas impacted by their work. The worker who finally did the caulking however would not do the area with the major "seam" between driveway sections that they repaired and asked for an additional $100 to do it. Even though it obviously needs done. So now I have to do the remaining caulking or what they did will be useless as water/etc will seep into the raised driveway area and the problems we've had will just be repeated. Not a happy customer.

Natalie was an absolute joy to work with. Great with communication and always on time. She was tireless with the installation, and even helped with things like getting compliance paper work with local village ordinance taken care of. And it was getting installed right before that bad snow that took 2 weeks to melt away. She would apologize over and over about the disruption due to the weather. Like she controlled the weather. haha. But it did get installed and I am very pleased with the outcome. The fence product quality itself far exceeds anything you would find at a big box store. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend them.
