After careful inspection of both trees, they determined that the trees could be removed carefully. They traveled to my location, removed the trees safely, and cleaned up the yard afterwards. I should have looked this guy up. As crooked as they come. Chris Baxter tricked me into cutting several trees since Horry County was coming to picked them the next day. Except that was not true. They teared up my whole property, charged me $2000, did not clean anything and I had to pay someone else $600 to pick everything left. In the middle of the job, they changed their mind and told me they would have to charge more. Total con, don't make the same mistake. read more

C.M.B nearly did thousands of dollars of damage to our house. Neighbors hired this tree service to remove a relatively small, single tree from their front yard. The tree service managed to somehow drop a small limb across multiple yards into ours, in such a way as to yank out the power line from the side of our house, destroying the meter, and even damaging the neutral wire. We were out of town at the time, arriving home just in time to see Duke power finishing the repairs, and thankfully most of our electronics were unplugged, or we would have lost thousands of dollars worth of personal and home-office equipment. The Duke Power guy told us that we were blessed that our entire house didn't catch fire and burn down, given the type of damage done to the line. C.M.B then left the majority of the tree sitting in the neighbor's yard, and never returned to clean up or process their mess in any way. There's even still a small limb caught up in the wires near the local transformer. While cutting down the last of the tree, which I had a chance to observe them doing as I unloaded the car, I witnessed them slicing off large chunks of trunk, then throwing them haphazardly down into the sloped yard, where they then rolled precariously into the street, nearly striking parked vehicles, moving vehicles, and pedestrians. I couldn't find a web footprint for this company, but our house-sitter (smart cookie that he is) had the wonderful presence of mind to demand a business card from the workers before they began. Crooks and dishonest people. I hired this compony to cut 5 tree branches, in my home in Cary NC, it took them about an hour to do it, they charged me $950, this was expensive but ok, the deal was to cut the branches small enough for the town of Cary to pick it up, or hollow it away with them. One branch hit the roof of the house and damage the cutters, they make a joke out of it and try to explain to me why it happened. just like its ok because they have a good reason for it to hit the roof and the house. Then they cut it and left it as one big pile and put it in a curb where the City have no good access to remove it. I called them for a week to ask them to take the debris away or cut it according to the city guidelines. After 2 weeks and debris sitting on the side of the main road, they came by and cut it a little smaller but far from meeting the city requirement. It took me 10 more days of calling to get a respond that they will charge me $100 to remove the debris. I did not have A choice but to agree, then waited another week for them to pick up, called them every day, for another week but no responds. I end up hiring another company to remove the junk they left in my yard. the grass beneath was completely dead. They are terrible and dishonest money hungry guys, they are very expensive and promise you anything and never follow up with it. they ignore you and when you get them to answer they lie and promise you to solve the problem but good luck catch them again. My 74 year old Mom decided to call CMB Tree Experts without tell me or this would not have happend. While I was at work these people came and cut 3 large branches off the big tree in my yard, a few small branches off the little pear tree also in my yard and cut 1 peice of a of a 3 trunk tree in my front yard leaving a big stump and a slice in the other trunk. They also broke jalousie window on my shed. He said he went to get glass and fix it. However when I looked he stuck a peice of plastic in there that didnt even fit and took off without telling us. For this he charged $1350 00 after giving her a quote of $1100.00 both were a complete rip off. He completely took advantage of my 74 year old mom. I sent him an email then a text. he called and would do nothing about it. I even offered 2 options 1 to come trim some other branches that were supposed to be done or refund $500 of the money. 4 years ago when I had this done it cost me $600.00. I warn anyone especially older people that this company is a rip off. be very careful. I plan on disputing this with our bank on Monday and seeing what options I have including small claims court. read more

Stay away! These guys make many promises when selling and go out of there way to not follow through. For us, they promised to spray for weeds and clear underbrush. Then, when cleaning up and it is time to do so, different crew members say others either did it or will do it, and no one did. We called at least 5 times to have them follow through. They always say they will come the next day but never do. Even when they were called out on their lack of integrity, they will not follow through. They promised to come back at 30, 60, and 90 days to respray but do not. This promise was actually why we chose them in the first place. They try to get you to give them cash so they can avoid paying taxes. Rarely do I feel like I need to call someone out. But as a pastor, I have gone to them many times and they simply will not keep there word, so I feel compelled to speak out. These guys may be cheap, but be clear, you are getting what you are paying for. read more

Horrible! Very unprofessional!! Left a huge mess all around yard and neighbors yards. Did not notify neighbors of job they would be doing, creating storm of sawdust in neighbors yards, on their cars, driveways and walkways. Left huge piles of wood in neighboring yards and in the street. Tree fell into yard across street making a massive hole in nice green grass. Large piles of debris left in front of house and neighboring house too large to be picked up by city. Do yourself and your neighbors a favor, call a professional. These guys don't finish the job and create problems for neighbors. read more
