Loop holes and circles is what they seem to push for, but know your rights and fight for yourselves! Please do yourself a favor ACCC - a suggestion that will benefit drivers such as myself and clearly others who have had the misfortune of dealing with you.... This was not my fault but it was so expensive and the person who hit me ghosted me and my lawyer could not find them to pay for my car, so I had to go through my insurance which is Bristol west. Well..... let's just say, I got hit 10/15/25 and I STILL don't have my car back. It's 12/20/25 They are unresponsive when I have called, not keeping me updated with what's going on with my car and why they haven't sent out full payment to the shop. The only reason I know what was going on was from my mechanic who has been amazing but I also feel bad cause he has to deal with them as well. Reason why my car is taking forever is because they keep fighting my mechanic on the parts.. they are looking for salvaged old parts to add to my car ( which I'm like great) so what happens if the cheap ass used parts u are telling my mechanic that u will only pay for ends up faulty? Then what? Am I now liable? So because Bristol is haggling and fighting my mechanic every step of the way, the result is me not using my dang car for over 2 months. They also required 75 pictures each time something is submitted. Usually with better insurance companies the adjuster will go to the shop themselves and do everything but this company is asking for everything to be done online which is slowing the process down even more.. maybe one day I'll get my car back..
