Tom yelling at me every time he came over. I'm disabled in a wheelchair and so is my uncle who has a lot of pain and then tom comes over and says you have too much stuff and what everything's not packed up yet when he is the one that is supposed to be getting paid to do the packing he didn't lift a finger and all he did was send one lady over to help me just one person for a three bedroom apartment and they are supposed to be the ones getting paid to do the packing so I tell him stop yelling at me when he came back to pick up his friend or employee and then he said and told her come on let's go out of here so other words he just quit all because I just stuck up for myself. You do not treat people like that you are being hired to do a job it don't matter who's paying for it. You still need to act professional and you did not. not to mention you're very expensive for somebody who's been doing this for years you sure did act like a big you know what and I'm too much of a lady to tell you what you were acting like. you made me cry you made me feel low. You are so selfish. You don't care about other people and how you treat other people. You don't cure that I'm in a wheelchair and I have a disability and you put me under so much stress that you are almost put me in the hospital. read more

Please if you are a Woman, do not use this "service". While I was walking thru with the (hired- recommended by the agent) another story, this 6'4" very large man verbally abused me telling me to "Shut up!". I am a small late 50's woman with a lot of professional experience and never in my days experience this behavior. All in front of the Realtor, who was "not sober". I will file a complaint in due time. His son also took and wore my father's clothes while I was there! DO NOT USE!!! read more

Very much rude. He steals furniture. He yells at anyone who has too much stuff. We had service requested, that didn't go very well. Value is bad. Bad bad, for someone who steals your furniture? Never ever ever go to clutter boy. I also bet you this business is fully of Tom's Bots to boost his business so he can steal and yell at more people. this guy needs off of Yelp.com. read more

I owe a great deal to Tom Anderson and Clutterboy. I live out of state and was responsible for clearing a property after a death in the family. There was a lot of stuff -- I did not know where to start. Tom set me up with a simple sorting system. That sort took two days where I labeled the house contents as "keep" or "bye bye." Tom's team wrapped and stored items to be kept. From that point on Tom shredded, donated or disposed of the remainder. (Had any sellable items remained, Tom could have arranged for that as well.) Tom sets aside any cash, jewelry, or items of potential monetary or sentimental value. That he ran across in subsequent phases. I was left with a clean house ready for next steps. I cannot emphasize enough the peace of mind Clutterboy brought to the situation. Worth every penny and then some Most important: I could have, in a pinch, had him do the whole process without me. He is worthy of that level of trust. read more

Took it upon himself to open sealed boxes didtinctly marked with my name and go through them. Supposed to move everythjng into storage, finally given access to storage and not one piece of valuable furniture is in the storage unit. Worst of all, my parents ashes have been thrown into the dump by this person. He entered my property illegally after i had started moving remaining items during the houses escrow and no sign of these things now storage. Tell me where my antique mid century tufted white couch is? How about my mint green highback wing chair or my antique coffee table, the one with the gold fillagree inlay? How about my mothers christmas ceramics? My sewing machines and sergers? My carpet cleaned? My mothers jewelry? My mom and dads ashes? Im still waiting to hear your side before i sue you for theft. read more

Tom has plentiful amounts of knowledge and skills in clearing out my houses and sorting different items to charitable organizations or to recycling! read more

Addendum: this company came back to my house during escrow while i was removing some of the remaining items that i had stored in the garage. After I left for the day, I was informed that they showed up and removed the rest of the items including brand new expensive carpet cleaner, serger, my mother's hand painted Christmas ceramics, expensive plates, an antique couch, antique wingback chair, stage costumes that were hand made and on loan from the costume designer that totaled approximately 25thousand dollars that i had to pay back. I was told that they were put into the storage unit, but no one involved with the trust states that they had given him the direction. This is ontop of finding other peoples financial statements, investment account paperwork and other personal documents that were left behind. We found ads that showed pieces of the Berlin wall and medals from the east german army that we were gifted by relatives that were a part of it coming down. None of that property is in the storage units along with a lot of the other property from the initial clean out of the house. Where exactly are my possessions, Tom? Needless to say, I have been forced to hire an attorney to go after this company for grand theft. read more

No respect for people's belongings. Do not trust this person with anything you own. He is is also condescending to women, and his manners certainly could improve. Would never consider using him again. Hire someone honest. read more

Tom and his son were punctual, funny, and great to work with. He did a move out junk sort, load and haul for us in record time for a very fair price. I've used several junk hauler's and he is the best so far! I you let him go, he'll entertain you the whole time. read more

After 20 years of putting stuff in the basement "to deal with later," we were starting to get lost down there. Enter Clutterboy, my new favorite superhero. He emptied the contents of the basement into the driveway, including the shelving units. As the basement was emptied, we sorted the items into piles to donate (huge), keep (moderate) and trash (tiny). He washed the shelves, swept the basement, and then put items from the "keep" pile back in the basement in an organized fashion. He did the ENTIRE job with a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. He's relentlessly positive (in a good way), hires awesome & tireless assistants (and treats them well), and offers no judgment on your stuff or your decisions. He even found some kids' artwork that accidentally made it into the "donate" pile. It was amazing how much he and his team were able to get done in a short period of time, and his initial time estimate was spot on. Worth it, definitely. read more

I honestly don't know what I would have dome without clutterboys. My mom passed away after living in the same home for 50 years. my Brothers and I just couldn't get her house in order and....we just were overwhelmed had zero focus and we had a deadline. Tom help us get through mountains of old magazines and precious antiques. Thank you so much Tom!! read more

Tom is amazing! He came to my apartment and cleaned out all of my junk! He even took it to the dump for me. He was super speedy, fun to talk to you, and very reasonable in price. He even swept up the dirt and everything that ended up being kicked around from cleaning up the stuff. I would def recommend Clutteryboy for any job! read more

Tom, the Clutter Boy himself, was the absolute best for the job. I am a real estate agent and needed everything out of a house and FAST. I called him and gave him my short timeline and he greeted me with calmness and happiness. I was assured that my job would happen on schedule. What really impressed me and put me at ease was that, if you want him to, he will decide what can be repurposed or donated and what should be tossed or recycled. Because of this I knew NOTHING would go to waste, and I did not have to make a run to the dump either. On top of all of this, Tom is a wonderful guy. He brings smiles, respect, and positive energy and gets the job DONE. He also makes sure to check with you if the item seems sentimental. Give him a call or text! You won't regret it. read more

Tom and Daniel are the best! With our home purchase we received quite a lot of unwanted free gifts in the form of a full shed and garage attic. Lots of old stuff around the shed too. Tom and Daniel packed and cleaned everything in a couple of hours, took care of hazardous waste like paint and stale gasoline. They swept up the shed, too. After all it looked like no trash ever was there! read more

Clutterboy is fantastic. We have used Tom time and time again. Not only does he help clear the clutter, he finds ways of re-purposing items for those in need versus items being destined for landfill. He's a proactive communicator, runs on time and is a pleasure to work with. read more

competent and entertaining. he has a system, a truck, and enough stamina to outlast my wife and i anyway. we did a ~3 hours session working together in the garage, then he worked a bit more on final loading/cleanup. not cheap, but a big help, and far superior to just hiring a warm/strong body. read more

Clutterboy - clutterboy's truck post-cleanup full of clutter from garage /w clutterboy himself - Home Organization Near Me

I have turned to Clutterboy time and time again to help me with home organization, storage and more. Over the past 12 years, Tom helped me move, helped my kids as they grew up and moved on, reorganized major sets of books and excess old belongings, and provided guidance and comfort when I sorted through my mom's estate. Recently, he pulled off a miracle as he helped me re-organize the house to make space as extended family came to join us. In addition to working with garage, books, and abundant old possessions, Tom has helped with outdoor things too. I especially like that so many things can be re-used repaired or repurposed. I may not know where to take things to get them reused, but Tom knows. As others have pointed out, Tom is helpful, kind, efficient, and strong (he's also quite tall - I told my kids that Tom shows what the Vikings looked like). I can add that he's really smart and creative! He applies a lot of intelligence and experience to what he's doing. I recommend Tom with great enthusiasm for organization, clean-up and/or general decision making about your home and its contents. You will be very glad you got his help! read more

I used Clutterboy to help move my 90 year-old parents from the home they'd lived in for 50 years. They were miserable, I was stressed, and Tom got us through an incredibly difficult situation. I cannot say enough about how kind, patient and calm he was, from helping us decide what to recycle and getting donations to places that would really use them to hanging pictures in the new place and talking us down when we thought we weren't going to meet deadlines. His crew was lovely and Tom kept me from losing my mind. I would highly recommend him if you or loved ones are moving. I don't know how we would have survived without him. read more

Recently contracted Clutterboy to help with a garage and backyard cleanout. Tom and his team did a great job and made years of clutter go away in a matter of hours. I worked with Tom years ago and he is just as good, if not better, than I remember. He also provides lots of good referrals to other service providers (personal organizers, etc.). Way to go Clutterboy. Will be calling you again I am sure.. read more

I moved from Palo Alto to Redwood City. I needed to downsize. I found Tom through a friend who is a member of Avenidas Village at the Palo Alto senior center. He offers a discount rate for seniors. He came for a free consultation and described his services for me. Before I actually hired him to do some work, I consulted him via email and phone, asking about some of the topics that we had discussed. Several days after our initial interaction, he called to check up on my progress. Ultimately, I hired him to clean out what was left in my garage after my garage sale. This included shelf units, books, old cassette tapes, miscellaneous kitchen stuff, etc. He and his strong young assistant did a great job of getting rid of the stuff and sweeping out the garage. I'm sure it looked better when he was finished than it did when I moved in. Bottom line, I recommend Clutterboy for any downsizing, decluttering task. He understands your issues and is very calming, reassuring, and positive. read more

Tom gets things DONE! Makes clutter disappear, organizes what's left, and does so with cheerful professionalism. My home office and garage were functional again in less than an afternoon. He was great to work with, understood my clutter anxiety, and showed the highest respect for even my "junkiest" junk. read more

Tom and his crew are amazing. We had to clean out our parents' house where they had lived for over 50 years. There was an incredible amount of stuff to get rid of. Tom was professional and compassionate. He took the time to look for items that we may have missed. He did a fantastic job of cleaning up the inside and the outside of the property. I would highly recommend him to help you clean up your place. Thank you so much, Tom and Angel. read more

I had a brief encounter with Tom when I was helping my mother in law get her place ready to sell in Santa Clara. He was referred by my mil's real estate agent. Tom was rude, arrogant and a complete and a total flake. He charges more per hour more than a high end electrician to come over and help people throw stuff out($100 an hour). He acted like telling some old lady to throw stuff out in a rude and dismissive manner was the work of some "genius miracle worker". When he took some of my mil's stuff to donate, he promised to bring her back receipts and never came back or returned any calls. He sent over this very nice, hard working guy named Angel to help her pack up some of her kitchen stuff for an hour or so but, never called back when I left him a message inquiring about the above said receipts or if he carried any workman's compensation insurance for any of his supposed employees. So, I'll assume Angel is working under the table and if he does get injured while working on your property, you could be financially liable. I would recommend that you if you need help clearing some stuff out, there are plenty of professional organizers out there that would do a better job. If you do fall for Tom's line of B.S., I highly recommend that you at least have him provide proof of workman's compensation insurance before he sends anybody over to your house to do any sort of work. read more

Tom aka Clutterboy is the most amazing man! Tom has helped us numerous times with sorting/donating/getting rid of stuff in the garage and in our home. Tom is hard working, super nice and very fast; he is also patient, kind, and understanding of how we want to hold onto clutter! Tom helps with reorganizing spaces and he is nothing short of a miracle worker when it comes to getting rid of paper! Tom helps with small jobs (himself) or large jobs (when he brings an assistant); no job is too small or too big. Tom is also very encouraging on moving forward and making things happen. Tom's mantra is that we will feel much better when we get rid of stuff, and he's absolutely right....after Tom leaves we feel lighter, successful and more free. It's amazing how our stuff, no matter how much we love it, becomes a burden. With great good humor, Tom helps us let go. Thank you, Tom, for your hard work, professionalism, sense of humor, and compassion! read more

I love Clutterboy! Tom - aka Clutterboy - not only helped my rid my house of truck loads of unnecessary items but also (somehow) made it fun - and affordable! Working side by side with Tom, I was able to sort through a garage full of *stuff* in a methodical manner, keeping only the items that felt necessary. Non-judgmental and truly gifted at decluttering (and also superhumanly strong), Tom moved, sorted, lifted, cleaned and even brought in a storage shelf for the remaining items. At the end of each day, he hauled away the junk and donations. He also advised on storage tools to help create a long-term organizational system. Tom is also just a really great person - a devoted and proud father, a fascinating conversationalist and a big guy with an even bigger heart. Our three days together cleaning out my house were one part decluttering, another part therapy. By the time he left, I had a totally organized garage, kitchen, laundry room and mud room and I also felt like I had a new friend. I can't recommend him enough. Once he visits your house, you will wonder why you didn't call him sooner. read more
