This review is specifically intended for Sheila Taylor proprietor of Clutter Control, although she is so much more than her business name infers. As unlikely as I can imagine, I'm truly at a loss for words. As an outgoing 60's something male, gregarious to most, or "over the top" as a gentleman in Australia mentioned while travelling in a lift at a swanky Melbourne hotel mentioned. I'll do my best giving an objective review, somewhat difficult while still in awe of moving three thousand square feet and tens of thousands of items while recovering in Harrison hospital from a broken hip. Without lifting a finger or being on the premises. Good friends and good neighbors are also extremely helpful.
After first meeting Sheila I was underwhelmed, nothing off putting, but we weren't exactly kindred souls. She's conservative, reserved, stoic, plus she asked me tough questions, worst of all she was organized! In other words exactly what I needed. Being none of the former I was anticipating a torturous week of moving. But, I knew my accumulation of treasures (50 years worth) needed to be dealt with, and in less than a month before the new owners took occupancy. Sheila Taylor was/is the best referral ever, from the best real estate agent ever (Gabrielle Ritter) I've ever experienced. Knowing I'd procrastinated selling or donating my priceless collections for decades I didn't have a choice but to ask for and accept help, it was time to bite the bullet.
Not to bore you, but I had 4 vehicles (nice ones), 8 motorcycles (3 vintage Indians, 2 vintage BMW's, a Matchless, plus 2 modern dual sports, KLR 650 and DRZ 400. The garage and the house were stuffed full of valuables, 50 firearms, 30 guitars, 100 pieces of good art, Waterford crystal, sterling, tens of thousands of primers, brass, bullets, plus 5 reloading stations and several dozen pounds of powder. Somehow I also had acquired every piece of shop equipment imaginable, cabinet saw, band saw, 6' wood lathe, 10" planer/joiner, 5 or 6 routers, same number of nail guns and brads, plus everything else one could imagine. I'm so happy to be stuff free, but I may have a bit to go. My friends moved the stuff I wanted (and probably a few things I didn't) to a 500 sq. ft. storage shed. Anyone interested in quality items ask Sheila for my phone number.
O yeh, Sheila sent me images of what was happening and drove to Bremerton to meet in person. Plus her bill came in almost 10% under her bid and the referrals she furnished for selling my excess "stuff" paid her fee. Call me for a reference, ask Sheila for my number. Steve read more
