So when I came to NAKID I was not expecting much different, but was stunned at how different and how much more fun I had! My team is the Awful Waffles which was a team in a different league, we were all so fed up with the competiveness of the other leagues. Where they cuss you out if you make a bad play, make a bad call as a ref, basically have no regard for sportsmanship, and to top it off the league is ran by douchebags.It was so refreshing to come to NAKID, its fun still competitive(in a good way) AWESOME TROPHYS, cute girls for you guys out there, as well as flip cup tournaments every week!!! (AHHH HEAVEN!!) You gotta give it a shot!

Whatever the case, Monday night's have never been so much fun! Team IcyHots started out a smattering of friends, acquaintances, yelpers, complete strangers....a few short weeks later, we're teammates, friends, WINNERS! But to tell you the truth, even if we'd lost every single game, it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. WAKA rules!

That team got too big and the league allowed one member of the team to pick and decide who they wanted on their team. The couple other people who weren't chosen for the team, got placed on a random team full of free agents they didn't know. There was no fair chance to be on the team that you originally signed up for. Make it random? Make it first ten to stay on the team? Nope. One person on the team got to decide who gets to stay and who has to be placed randomly. The league has not taken ownership of the problem or try to remediate the situation for those who were negatively impacted. I definitely would not recommend paying money to this league when they can't get their act together and be a fair league. Overall, horrible first time experience with this league. DO NOT SIGN UP TO PLAY!

They are hard core about getting you to a level you never knew existed, yet fun loving and very team spirited at the same time. The coaches are awesome and I feel like I have gained so much from training with them. If you are just a beginner at triathlons or an experienced triathlete, this is a group that embraces people of all levels and goals. There are people of all ages and ranges that train for the sprint, olympic, half ironman, and ironman distances. I started back in April of 2008, with their swim clinic. Yea, I could swim..maybe doggie paddle swim a couple 50 meters or so, but I REALLY didn't know HOW to swim. They taught me how to do it efficiently, with proper technique. 1 year ago I couldn't swim one length of Barton Springs without freaking out or hyperventilating. Swimming was the only thing keeping me from competing in a triathlon...but here I am now training for a half ironman. Yes I knew how to run..yes I had a bike, but really I didn't know how to put all the pieces together. With them, you have coaches to help you, teammates to push you along the way and give you advice, and practices that will kick your ass. Another great thing about the group is that they have a very flexible training schedule that can work for anyone and everyone. They have swim practices everyday (morning, lunchtime, and night), they have spin class 3 times a week at different times, they have track and run practice 3 times a week as well. On weekends there are group long rides and runs. You don't have to be a triathlete to join, many people train in all 3 sports, 2 sports or even just 1 pf the sports. The skies the limit with flexibility. If you are looking for a triathlon group to train with, this is IT. I don't mean to sound like this is some marketing ploy, because it's not. This is the real deal, and I am willing to put the smack down on anyone that chooses to challenge this review, because T3 is absolutely, positively THE shit.

With this league you have to wait until five seconds pass until you can rush the quarterback, which actually allows receivers to run downfield and to let the plays develop. Every third play is a gender play, which means both guys and ladies get involved in making the catches. The refs here also do a really good job, so shout out to Austin for making it happen with good calls on the field. It is a bit of a drive out to Del Valle, but the fields there are really nice and it's just a good vibe/environment. My fiancé & I have done several seasons of cornhole at Bouldin Acres, and have had a great time in that league too. We have also done their kickball league in the past which is also fun, and the 4s Sand Volleyball at Moontower is also a blast! Definitely recommend this league and they offer other sports too.

They wouldn't let me play and didn't offer any alternatives like buying another shirt on site so we had to forfeit the game which really sucked. I understand wearing the shirt is a rule but you have to have a way to work around issues that come up. And honestly it's pretty ridiculous that they only give you one shirt that you have to wear every week.

Once they decide you're not good enough to deal with, they completely ghost you. The owner and directors will not even reply to ANY kind of messages. They literally treat kids and parents like crap even though they say everyone is "family"! They speak to kids in a super demeaning tone and don't reply to parents who have questions. They also threatened legal action when our friends tried to leave their contract, even though they'd provided NO services yet. They lied about coaching staff and players on our team too. This isn't the coaches, the coaches are amazing, it's the directors and owner. The owner only likes the kids who will get him notoriety or will go to his school or pay $$$$ for private lessons. Very shady, not to be trusted, only in it for the money! They don't have any Google reviews either and don't claim this page so they can't have more bad reviews. The facility is also a dump, they just don't care!

I play in both co-rec and womens kickball league, I'm in a bike riding class, sewing class and core worout class...plus on Friday I usually stay and watch the movie they play for the community. Personally even if my mom wasn't the supervisor I would still come and participate in their programs.

Flash forward a year later, a brief winter hiatus, and 15 lessons later, I now have a 95% overhand serve rate (no more underhand serving for this gal), and look halfway decent when attacking the ball. The usual attendees are around intermediate level (since they've been going for a while), but everyone is super supportive no matter what level you are! They post the daily training focus on their IG week by week so you can drop in whenever to do drills and receive proper training on improving in that skill (ex. Setting v passing v hitting etc). It's also a great way to start your day and get in a few games before work since it runs quite on time from 7:30am-9am on the dot!

They stress the importance of skills but also the mental game. We've practiced at other clubs around town before and find that the training here is more structured and a higher number of touches.
