I've been part of this tennis league for about a year. I joined shortly after I started playing tennis, and it's been a fantastic way to improve my game. You can schedule matches whenever it works for you, and it's nice that you can play as many matches as you'd like each season. The women's league in Austin is especially welcoming--everyone is friendly, helpful, and committed to helping each other get better. I've made a few close friends who share my love of tennis, and that sense of community keeps me coming back. As a newer player, I found it helpful that the league places you in a division based on your skill level, then moves you up if you start doing well. It keeps things challenging as you get better. On top of that, the league fees are reasonable, and the app is easy to use. They put you in with people at your exact level, and if your level turns out to be higher or lower (based on the scores you submit with people you play) they'll move you up or down levels as needed. This is my favorite league to play in around Austin. There are plenty of opponents and scheduling is easy and convenient.

Well organized leagues and player interactions, score submissions, draws and prizes if you win the championship.

One of the most well organized sports leagues out there. Super functional website and app. There are separate divisions for every skill level. Each division has 15-20 players you can schedule matches with, at your own convenience during the 2 month long seasons. There's a cool elimination style tournament at the end of every season. There's winner trophies, swag items, player of the year awards. I am playing 15 matches every season and not only am I having a lot of fun, my game has improved as well. Kudos to Steve, founder of the league for responding to every question and request I have had within 30 minutes, even on a Sunday. Just want to pass along to you tennis players that the Tennis-Austin league is the best outlet for your game. I've been playing with the league for 8 years. It's great for beginners as well as higher level players. I started playing in beginners and slowly moved up as I got better. It's all about having fun and trying to improve my game. Have met some wonderful people and have totally enjoyed the competitiveness and exercise. One of the very few no-contact sports that is great fun during this pandemic. Well coordinated. This tennis community has become such a great and motivating community to be a part of. I am able to play a good and competitive tennis match almost any time I want, with an array of very different players with different styles. I have grown so much as a tennis player, not just because I'm able to play a lot of tennis, but also because the people I play are encouraging and quick to share tips and strategies. Sure, everyone wants to win the match--but everyone also wants to see everyone grow in their game. Also, the admin for the website is super responsive and fair, and is quick to fix any problem I have ever had. I jumped from another league to Tennis-Austin in the fall and it has been a great move. I've met so many good people and equally competitive players that my game skills have improved, my weekly exercise program has been elevated, and I've made some good tennis friends in the process. Many are like me: love the game and want to get better through increased play. We give each other snaps during the matches for good play or awesome shots, nice gets and comeback wins. It's super friendly with a competitive edge but not over-the-top. The multiple skill levels help keep you and others where they should be playing, managed by an active admin team that review all matches to keep it fair throughout the season.
