This review is not for the gym itself- which is lovely in every way. It is an about one class experience specifically. This morning I decided to take a Pilates class from Melika. I have gone to every other instructor and I have loved every class- So Naturally I really wanted to enjoy this class because the workout itself was genuinely good and challenging, and I definitely felt like I got a great Pilates workout in. Unfortunately, I found some of the instructor's commentary throughout class pretty uncomfortable and distracting. There were several comments made about not liking when men attend her classes because they grunt and sweat too much, along with jokes about being unhappy when men are in certain classes. It wasn't just one passing joke--it came up multiple times, which started to make the overall atmosphere feel unnecessarily negative. I also think it's worth remembering that exercise isn't always quiet or pretty--people sweat, breathe heavily, and sometimes make noises when they're physically exerting themselves, regardless of gender. I completely understand joking around and bringing personality into a class, and I actually think that can make a workout more fun. But I also think a gym should be a space where everyone feels comfortable walking into a class, whether they're a man, a woman, or anyone in between. I would hate for someone to try Pilates for the first time and hear comments that make them feel like they aren't wanted there. At one point, the instructor even joked about being able to imagine someone leaving a negative review about her and said that she just has to speak from her heart. I respect being yourself, but I think there's also a difference between how we joke with friends and how we speak when we're leading a class in a professional setting. The workout itself was good, which is why this was disappointing. I left feeling like I had gotten a great workout physically, but the overall vibe of the class made me feel more uncomfortable than uplifted. I think the class would have been significantly more enjoyable with less commentary about who should or shouldn't be in the room and more of that energy directed toward encouraging everyone who showed up to work out. read more

I have been a member for almost a year and I love this gym so much. I love being able to switch up my workouts every day. If you're into cycling I recommend Juliann, for hot Pilates Tonya, and Hannah C. for literally any class. It's also not hard to get into classes. read more

$134/month for a gym that makes you feel like you crashed a high school clique? Hard pass. Oh, and if you want to "pause" your membership, it'll still cost you $50/month. Cute, right? Some of the classes are great (Hot Pilates, CS4, Boxing, Mat Pilates) and Erin and Shelby crush it in Reform. Unfortunately, some coaches aren't helpful (Brooke yells way too much, Isabella doesn't engage at all) and the customer service is the worst I've seen at any gym. That said, the front desk? Let's just say I've gotten warmer welcomes from TSA agents. No "hi," no "bye," just blank stares like you're interrupting their day. Add in the "must be skinny-fit" vibe and the fact that I found roaches in the shower, and yeah... I was done. You can find the same classes elsewhere for half the price and without the bad energy. Bottom line: Unless you enjoy overpaying for attitude, look elsewhere. read more

I've been a member of Club Studio for about 2 months now, and I'm genuinely impressed. For the first time, I actually look forward to going to the gym. The atmosphere, music, and energy make working out fun. I was a little intimidated at first since it's a modern gym with a "club" vibe but that feeling quickly disappeared. The gym floor is spacious, with tons of equipment, and it never feels overly crowded, even during peak hours. They offer a great variety of classes with standout instructors like Alex H., Hannah C., Sean, Bella, Tonya, and Kris -- all friendly, motivating, and full of great energy. I really hope CS continues to take good care of their staff and instructors, because having great people who stick around truly makes a difference in the overall experience. Before CS, I was paying nearly $200/month at a premium Pilates-only studio. The value here is unmatched -- classes, sauna, top-notch instructors, and great amenities all included. I can't believe no one created a gym like this sooner. It's perfect for people in their 30s and 40s who don't go to the clubs anymore but still appreciate the vibe. I also love seeing older members showing up and getting their workouts in. I can't forget to mention Alex at the front, super helpful since day one and always makes members like myself feel like a VIP. Heads up: They do enforce the no-show and late cancel fee, so make sure to cancel early if needed. Suggestion: I wish the app let you change class spots and see your waitlist position - a small change that would make a big difference. Hope this review is helpful! See ya at "the club" read more

Joke of a gym! I visited this location on a guest pass and genuinely loved the facility. I was seriously considering joining. Nobody explained the gym rules or gave me a tour, so I didn't know bags weren't allowed on the floor. Courtney approached and politely explained the rule, and I had no problem with it. I told her I was almost done and would be leaving shortly. About 10 minutes later, Adeline approached me aggressively and said "you were told to get your bag off the floor." I explained Courtney had already spoken to me and I understand. So then Adeline said to me I could either "get my bag off the floor or leave the gym" So I left. I wasn't even the only person with a gym bag on the floor, yet I was singled out and ultimately told to leave over something so minor. I escalated this incident to the manager Rhiannon and she said, "Well, what are you looking for?" For a gym charging around $189/month, I expected much better customer service and professionalism. Management should address how customers are being treated. Enforce the rules, but in a respectful manner. read more

Hit a bunch of traffic due to a car accident on the way to class, showed up 1 minute late and they refused to let me take the class. I'm in disbelief. Will be cancelling my membership ASAP. All the shi*t I had to do to get myself to the gym and they turn me away for being 1 minute late. It's so messed up. I would never treat someone who supports my business like that. Worst customer service. Worst policy. Save your money and DO NOT join this gym. read more

To be very honest this is the ONLY gym you would want to belong too. Top tier facilities, clean, motivating the coaches there are UNMATCHED. Especially classes with Kris, Hannah C, Hannah Z and Tonya are always highly encouraging easy to understand and make it easy for anyone even beginners to feel comfortable to ask questions and talk to. Having been here since it opened, I would recommend this place to anyone (and already do!) For someone who has lived in Sacramento for 13 year now, I KNOW this gym has everything you'd need and there isn't others like it. Update:their 100 Class Celebration is much appreciated ! read more

Man! I was so close to getting a membership with my friend today. I pay for another fitness club membership on top of a gym membership, and really enjoyed these class options, open gym, and recovery area. Everything was so clean and pretty! The yoga class was awesome, and my friend and I were talking ourselves into it. We went to the recovery area and were assisted by a very sweet staff member who got us set up, said she'd come back to check on us, then walked away. About 5 minutes into the recovery session, my friends pressure boots became unzipped, and she couldn't get it back on, and the employee never came back to check on us. My friend sat for the rest of the 10 minutes without her equipment working properly. When we got up and walked toward the front desk and exit, I was fully expecting one of the staff members to ask us about our experience and ask for our business, but they just let us walk out! As someone who's previously worked in retail, that blows my mind, they let two potential members just walk out without expressing any interest in our business. They weren't rude by any means. They were extremely polite when talking to us, but I dont think I've ever taken a trial class without an employee going above and beyond to leave a good impression in attempt for us to eventually sign up.. I think the most effort we heard was from the yoga instructor saying that she'd see us next time. Anyway, excellent place for someone who knows exactly what they want and it's offered here. I'd think this place might be losing business with the lack of sales experience from the employees. They almost had us today! read more

I had a really frustrating experience at Club Studio that needs to be addressed. I attended classes using a 5-day guest pass that my friend invited me with, and I showed up to every class I booked--no absences at all. Despite this, I was charged THREE separate $25 "no-show" fees for classes I actually attended. When I first brought it up, I showed proof of attendance for one of the days and a manager refunded that charge. But then I realized I had been charged two more times for other classes I DID attend. I was told I needed to drive 40 minutes back to the studio just to show proof again, which I did. After showing proof in person, the same manager who had already refunded me before suddenly said she needed to "check with accounting" and couldn't issue the refund anymore--which made no sense given she had already done it once. She took my number, had me send proof of the charges, and told me I'd receive the refund by the following week. I never did. though I'm just a guest and don't even have a membership. This has been extremely inconvenient, time-consuming, and honestly unacceptable. I shouldn't have to repeatedly prove I attended classes just to get back money that was incorrectly taken from me. The lack of follow-through and accountability from management is very disappointing. read more

I really like this gym. It's clean, the staff is very nice. The only complaint I have though is the music is so loud. It's really hard to hear my headphones. I'm gonna have to buy some noise canceling headphones if I want to keep working out here. The music over their speakers is way louder than my AirPods and beats even at top volume I can hear it read more

Suppose you are in the market for a very modern studio to work out, relax, enjoy, and receive treatments. Don't bypass Club Studio. This is an excellent venue. The staff is very attentive and helpful. In the ladies' lounge, they have the salt wall to enjoy in your sauna. This location does not have a wet steam room has a really great smoothie bar so if you wanna sweat it out and feel good about your monthly payment join Club Studio never overcrowded so you're always going to get the pick of the litter of equipment, you'd like to work out in. I must add my favorite part. It is the recovery station. They have the latest and greatest equipment. In the ladies' lounge, they have the salt wall to enjoy in your sauna. This location does not have a steam room but has a really great smoothie bar. So if you want to sweat and feel good about your monthly payment join club studio. Ps don't forget to download the app so you can book the top rated classes. My favorite is the sound bath session and the reformer. read more

My meeting with Personal Trainer JayDee went very well. He asked great questions, actually listened to my answers and my areas of concern, and gave improvement recommendations I could immediately implement. He is very experienced and personable and is easy to talk to. For an introvert like me, I was very surprised how comfortable I was talking with him. That is quite unusual for me. Also, there was no hard sell to buy training sessions. He made me aware of their availability but I didn't feel pressured to buy. read more

I am extremely disappointed and honestly, I absolutely despise this fitness center. The staff here clearly has no understanding of customer service or basic human decency. I had booked a free trial Pilates class and drove 35 minutes from Rocklin to get here. I arrived at the front desk at 9:02 AM - just 2 minutes late - and was told that the doors had closed exactly two minutes ago, and they refused to let me in. And what do you think happened next? Nothing. No solution, no attempt to accommodate or help. I even told them that my friend was already inside the class and had informed the trainer that I would be a couple of minutes late. The trainer was totally fine with it - but the front desk staff wouldn't even listen to me. They just said, "The doors are closed," and turned me away. I would never recommend buying a membership or anything else here. Be aware: even if you are one minute late, they won't let you in, and they won't care about your time, effort, or circumstances. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

I love everything about Club Studio--the classes, the coaches, and the staff--but this review is really about their lead trainer, Jaydee. I've spent most of my life not enjoying the gym and feeling unsure of myself in that environment. From my very first session, Jaydee completely changed that. His knowledge of training, the body, and overall health is exceptional, but what truly sets him apart is how he applies it--he challenges you without overwhelming you and creates a space where you feel supported, not judged. Beyond his expertise, Jaydee is simply one of the kindest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. He's incredibly encouraging, quick to make you laugh, and never lets you be hard on yourself--if you start to doubt yourself, he's right there to lift you back up. He has a way of making every session feel comfortable, positive, and even fun, like you're working out with a close friend. In just a few months, I've not only seen physical results, but I've gained confidence and actually enjoy working out--something I never thought I'd say. Jaydee has a way of making tough workouts feel approachable while keeping you focused on proper form and real progress. He truly cares about his clients and wants every person he works with to succeed, and it shows in everything he does. If you're looking for a trainer who will help you transform both physically and mentally--and who happens to be an all-around wonderful human being--Jaydee is the best. read more

Club Studio's policies actively put members' health at risk. When I woke up violently ill and called to cancel my class due to a contagious illness, I was told I either had to come in or be charged. The only alternative offered was rescheduling for the same day--which is unreasonable when you're sick. This policy places the burden of public health on individual members rather than the studio itself. Given how tightly packed these classes are--often with only inches of space between people--this creates a perfect environment for spreading illness. It's unsettling to realize that sick members are likely attending classes simply to avoid penalties. I also attempted to speak with a manager and called before my 7 a.m. class, only to be told to call back later. No one offered to take my information or arrange a callback. To make matters worse, customer service was dismissive and unprofessional, with multiple staff members visibly rolling their eyes when I asked for help. Also this is the first time I have asked to cancel a class in over a year and a half of being a member. Between unsafe health policies and poor customer service, this is really disappointing. read more

It's been about a month... Need to add more classes. Especially on the weekends, they don't have many classes throughout the day for some classes. Before I start my review I just want to point out the pros, the gym is very clean considering its brand new. We figured we'd give it a try to see if it beat our gym experience. Recovery area is a huge bonus and sounds like they have great classes here. Now for the cons me and boyfriend came in today and did not feel welcomed. No acknowledgment till we went to the front desk. I will say customer service here is absolutely terrible. I felt like I was being judged just walking in the door. With that being said our gym greets everyone coming in and out of the door. I will say when we did get our tour from one of the staff she was super friendly and informative. Secondly we thought the place would be a lot bigger with a more machines. I will say paying $100+ a month to a gym that you don't feel welcome doesn't really make me want to give them my money. But we will definitely stick to our awesome gym with their friendly staff. read more

This gym has the vibe of "must be fit and pretty to be accepted here". The manager Jess is rude and tries to make any women there feel inferior? You talk to her and very much get the feeling she thinks you're disgusting and doesn't want to be there.. after talking with some of the staff it seems she's like that towards the employees too? This is not the ideal person I'd want running a gym meant to connect people. read more

Updating my original post. Unfortunately I was told by corporate office that my location-Citrus Heights lied to me. There is no policy stating you must arrive at 8:29am for an 8:30am class. Sad that local staff told me this policy was in my contract. Why lie? Anyway, after asking them to show me this policy in my contract for over 2 weeks and over a dozen emails of them insisting I signed and this was the policy; they finally apologized for lying and said they wouldn't do it again. Kinda felt like they were little kids being taught to not lie. Really weird experience. read more

They offer no grace period for classes--if you're even one minute late, you're charged a $15 fee on top of an already expensive membership, which feels excessive. Additionally, being automatically added to a waitlisted class in the middle of the night is unreasonable. There should be a notification and confirmation process to ensure you still want the spot, rather than charging you for missing a class you were added to just a few hours prior without your knowledge. I've also gotten charged a no show fee for classes i've attended, so make sure you check. read more

I was in the fitness industry for 12 years so I am extremely particular when it comes to amenities, cleanliness, what the cost includes and overall community in a gym facility. This place exceeds all of my expectations! The lineup of classes is unmatched. I've taken yoga twice with Paige and Erin and had such a great experience. The schedule is so accommodating that there is always a class available no matter how busy my schedule can be! I'm really excited to attend cycling and Pilates next. My experience with the staff and cleanliness has been very positive! On multiple occasions I've seen team members doing walk throughs of the facility and picking up trash left behind on equipment or on the floor. I'm always greeted immediately when I walk in! I've had negative experiences in other gyms where team members are overly engaged in side conversations, but the team members here are really attentive and engaging. Brandon the General Manager took the time to show me around and answer all of my questions thoroughly. I didn't feel rushed through the tour nor did I ever feel like he was just trying to make a sale. He listened to my goals and had recommendations on how to achieve them! If you're thinking about joining or even just dropping by, I promise you won't regret it! read more

In February, I left my current gym, where I was paying $40 a month to join, specifically to take CS4 classes taught by Donn Corbin, at $140 a month. He has amazing energy and coaching abilities. He makes class fun and they are always one of the fullest. I have shared the same sentiment with several classmates. However, I just learned today that Club Studio has made the huge mistake to let him go!!!?? I am beyond devastated. As someone who is in her late 40s, getting her fitness back and losing 50 pounds because of a positive trainer is heart-wrenching. I don't see the value in staying at this high-priced gym any longer. I have even called the GM. He was very dismissive. Not interested in reviewing things. read more

I wanted to love this gym but ...i just cant. i signed with this club for the classes [not for the gym] but i literally have paid my monthly dues since they opened and i only been able to get into FOUR reformer classes because they are all full. all the way from 5-11am then a long break with no classes and then they have 2 evening classes 5-6pm. [once in a while there is a 7pm class] and they are ALWAYS FULL. before i signed up for the gym they told me i would no problem getting into a class. YEAH RIGHT. if you know PILATES IS THE BUSIEST CLASS, HAVE MORE CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE DAY!!! And the weekend classes are a joke, there is nothing after 11am??? i was told before i signed up that i could be a few mins late, but once i checked in at 6pm for a 6pm class time and they DIDNT LET ME IN. WTF. this is not an airline, you can let us in. some of us come directly from work with no time to change and its stressful getting there bc this location is so bad with insane traffic post 5pm. i have seen other white girls come in late to class and they just open the door and come righttttt on in. gym is clean but its really frustrating that the classes are not available for more people, pilates is always full, there are extremely limited classes on the weekends, this place is just overpriced. once i also asked this "personal trainer" who was sitting in his office on the computer how to use a machine and he looked up at me and said i needed an apt. LOL, WTF. i said excuse me"?? i need an APPOINTMENT for you to show me how to use a machine?! he then said okay i can show you real quick. the rule of no gym bags on the floor is whack too. i have my gym stuff which I NEED to do proper workouts and for my own sanitation. i see all the filthy people in there sneezing and coughing all over the machines and not wiping them down. if you want more people, get more classes available, drop the attitude, be more flexible with people being 1-2 mins late to class. read more

Pilates reform classes really helped my post op ACL leg! I highly recommend. These classes are really great for balancing as well

Super clean cute gym, they have Dyson blow dryers in the locker rooms, plenty of equipment and it's not over crowded.

Have been coming here since it opened. Friendly customer service and fun classes. Also the little juice bar is great!

I drive 30 minutes to get to this gym and expect the classes to be named accurately. When I got there for a reform class, they were setting up jump boards. Usually the classes are named "jump board cardio" if it is a jump board class. I can't participate in those classes because of my back. When I asked about it at the front desk they were extremely unbothered. I wasn't expecting anything to change for this class obviously, but customer service is really lacking here and no sense of empathy. read more
