This review is long over due. I've been coming here since last October. Great for beginners and advance. Wide variety of times through out the day to meet any personal needs. The instructors are all phenomenal with their own uniqueness. Super clean & sanitized. They offer free introduction classes so be sure to check them out.

Ask the Community - Club Pilates

Hi, I saw an AD and decided to sign up for the trial class. What measures are being taken for COVID-19 and are we required to wear a mask during class?

Hot yoga is on a whole different level. I had never taken a…read moreyoga class before, and hot yoga definitely challenged me. Since I wasn't familiar with the pose names, the first few classes felt very fast paced and a little overwhelming. The instructors were kind, welcoming, and supportive, though they did not often provide poses example or individual posture corrections. Most of the time, I learned by watching the people around me and following along. I realized that the regular classes follow the same practice each time. They also offer Yin and Sculpt classes, but there are only a few of those on the weekly schedule. After attending four or five classes, I became more familiar with the poses and flow by memorization. I do wish there were more class options with different levels of difficulty and a wider variety of poses. As a beginner, it felt a bit left out being in classes filled with experienced students. I'm not sure whether this is a pro or a con, but they are very strict about staying for the full 60 minute class. One time I saw a few people leave early, so I did the same, and the instructor reminded me that anyone planning to leave before class ends should let the teacher know in advance. Personally, I felt a little uncomfortable with this policy, especially in that situation when I have to leave to use the restroom. Students are generally expected to remain in the room for the entire session. If you need a break, you can rest on your mat, but leaving the room is not allowed. However, I agree that it courages our commitment to the practice and to maintaining a focused class environment. The heat is intense. I've seen some people sweat so much that there were actual puddles around their mats. I normally don't sweat very much, so hot yoga was a completely different experience for me. By the end of class, I felt like I had worked harder than in most other workouts and left feeling refreshed and energized. The studio itself is exceptionally clean, welcoming, and professionally run. Everyone was friendly, and I appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase a membership. All the staffs genuinely seemed to care about creating a positive experience. They remember my name and ask me on my feelings, which are very touching. Overall, I really enjoyed it and have a lot of respect for how professionally everything is managed. I only wish they had addition locations in Irvine or Lake Forest. They are doing awesome, and quality hot yoga studios are not always easy to find. I love this experience overall!!! Highly recommended.

The yoga makes you feel like you've accomplished a rugged workout without the fatigue and I think I've lost 5 pounds by the end of class. The staff were super friendly and the studio was clean.

A classic yoga experience…read more I've been to be the change yoga around a dozen times in the past year and I really like it because I feel like it's one of the few studios around that really hold true to the classic art of yoga. Nowadays I feel like most yoga places are you to do some crazy moves, balancing, and doing a borderline HIT class. But be the change is a more spiritual, relaxed, yoga, making sure you're centering yourself and becoming lighter at your own pace. If you're used to those modern intense yoga places though, Be the Change might not be it for you. But for me, it's the first place I always go to when I come back from a trip and know I need a nice wind-down and to de-stress. They also offer FREE wipes, yoga mats, blocks, blankets, and ropes for anyone who doesn't have them or needs more accessiblity options for their stretches. They also have an amazing kitchen/study area right next to the rooms. There's communal tea bags and cups you can use, a bathroom, a changing room, and plenty of seating for you to relax or finish up some work before a class. I also really recommend striking up a conversation with any of the employees. Be the Change is a great pillar for the community they have such much care and are very involved with many wellness organizations around and usually have special events for their members if you're interested. They're also a non-profit I believe, women-owned, and often donate to charity. An amazing yoga spot and business to support!

Great peaceful, welcoming environment. Has a variety of class types, times and instructors…read more Location is easy to find with plenty of parking. I'll continue to try out the different types of classes. The instructor, Kat was friendly, easy to understand, and helpful with getting positions correct.
