If you are at the airport and want a yummy bite to eat, I recommend this restaurant! Food: My husband and I shared the pastrami sandwich with a side of fries. They give you a decent amount of pastrami on the sandwich, but it isn't piled on high- it is messy though! One sandwich was not enough for both of us. Usually pastrami sandwiches are piled high with meat, which is why we split it. The fries were thin cut shoe string fries- cooked and seasoned to perfection! Ambience: They have cool bar seats. Plenty of TVs with sports on. The playlist of music was very good. Service: they had two people working the bar and one server who waited the tables and bartended. Service was very slow. You have to seat yourself which is fine, but it took a minute for anyone to come to our table. The waitress was not rude, but didn't really interact with us. Price: everything was at least $18 ! Service was great, the bar was decent with polite staff. The place seemed to be doing well. The burger was horrible. It had a taste of freezer burn and spoiled cheese at the same time. You have to seat yourself when you arrive, which is fine but once I did that it took very long for someone to take my order. Before I could order, the first thing the server told me was that they did not have silverware and she did not explain why . This review is for service only. This was my third visit today, but my first visit with the blonde waitress. It was a very busy weekday with no tables seemingly open or already cleaned, so I sat at a table with dirty dishes. No big deal; she was busy hustling from table to table to kitchen. I sat there for about five minutes, again no big deal. But with the dirty dishes in front me of, I didn't want her to think I was the previous customer, so I made eye contact with her as she walked by. I didn't say one word, I didn't make any hand gestures - I just looked at her; all I was expecting in return was a head nod or a "be right with you"...the normal acknowledgement. Instead, she responds in frustration saying kinda loudly, "You're gonna have to give me a few minutes ma'am." Her tone told me she was annoyed and stressed. I said, "Um, ok." The patron next to me gave me a raised eyebrow and later told me she has been a certain kind of way. It was embarrassing, completely rude and uncalled for, as the patrons on this side of the restaurant definitely heard. I got up and left. I get she's stressed, but I did nothing to her but sit at a dirty table and look at her. I've had three trips to the area recently, and I anticipate more. I will not be coming back to this establishment nor will I recommend this place to my coworkers who also travel here. read more

One cancelled flight and a second flight being delayed I had quite some time to kill. I took a seat at the counter. My server Derrick immediately acknowledged me. He was sweet and attentive with refills and very understanding about my delays, never making me feel rushed. Awful customer service! Rude servers! You seat yourself in the restaurant so I found an open table (plenty of tables, all were dirty). The server was in the area but she ignored me for at least 15 mins. The waitress finally stops, no greeting and ask with an attitude if I needed a menu. I replied yes, she came back, threw the menu on the table and walked away. At that point I decided I was not going to deal with poor customer service. I grabbed my bags and left. We went to the restaurant at 7:30 and they had closed the grill. The hours are not correct or consistent. We have been here multiple times before catching a late flight. And they are very inconsistent. And when you ask them about it they are rude. Said the manager said to close down the grill at 7:15. Who closes down at 7:15 on a Friday night? and you no you have late flights going out and you've been open late before. Fix your website, please! I was thinking that they were short staff which would be understandable but know they were cleaning and just ready to leave. Like I said rude and unaccommodating. Eat before you come to the airport. Wow. This was some nasty food. Avocado toast plate like I have never had. It said it came on an everything bagel, with two eggs and berries on the side. I got the eggs, but then the avocado was the spread you get in a tub on wheat toast with a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning. And the toast got buttered first!!! No berries, just a bunch of mushy grapes in a cup. Oh Richmond! This is what is, a basic airport restaurant with okay food at high prices. So many airports have upscaled and have awesome options, but RIC keeps its old school. My flight was delayed, so I knew I had time to kill and sat at the bar to eat and do some work. It is great they have power outlets under bar to charge your phone, but they weren't working. I almost left, but bartender said she might just need to flip the switch (reset fuses?). It took her another 5 min to do it (worked, yay), so after 10+ min of debating and hovering, I was able to settle in. Bartender was nice, but slow. When I wasn't sure which beer to choose, she let me sample 3. That was great, because I only ended up liking one of them. I asked for a food recommendation and she suggested the chicken shawarma sandwich. Placed my order for that with fries (up charge from house made chips). They brought it out with the chips and I remind her that I ordered the fries. No problem, they brought those out after a few minutes. Sandwich was actually really tasty, good flavor and texture. Glad I swapped for fries and corrected the mistake. She left the chips (you can't re-serve them anyway) and they were not good - lacked flavor and crisp. The fries were much better. Bartender asked me to close out check, since her shift was ending. I get it (worked in restaurants for years) but just find it tacky. I think servers should just work those details out behind the scenes to make sure they allocate their tips appropriately. Thanks to Key we had a great meal! Everything was tasty, food arrived quick and service was fantastic!

Let's start with the positive... Ashley was lovely. She was kind, attentive, and a great server. The double drinks were healthy doubles. The waffle fries were hot. The Club Level Grill was across from our boarding gate. That's it. First, the music sounded more like Friday night at 'da club than I'm about to board a flight across country. (But hey I'm not a Rap fan.) Second, when Ashley approached, she had to list the 9 items they did NOT have on a Tuesday afternoon. This included; chicken quesadilla, fish sandwich, queso with chips, and any form of shredded cheese. Unfortunately, that was out exact pre- flight order. So burger and chicken fingers with chips it is. Third, the "house" chips were bland and tasteless while the "Angus" beef burger was no more Angus beef than I am the Queen of England. (I'm a Texas Ranch girl, I know my real beef!) So, if we had to do it again, we would probably grab a bite before the airport since all other food option were closed. RIC truly has fliers over the proverbial barrel. Again, if you're looking for a quick cocktail before the flight this is your place. Hopefully, you get a great server like we had in Ashley. But if you're looking for a decent bite to eat, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

Not many dining choices at the Richmond Airport, so I guess that means they don't have to please? Ordered chips with pico de gallo and cheese, and a beer. They got the beer right. They substituted soggy potato chips for corn chips, never asking if that was OK. I had to ask for pico and they provided awful salsa. The melted cheese was too salty to finish.
