I had a fitting with Mr. Miller, and it was a very disappointing experience.
From the start, he came across as disengaged and uninterested. There was little to no effort to introduce himself or make the session feel welcoming. Instead, he quickly moved to criticizing my current equipment, which was previously purchased through Club Champion, in a way that felt dismissive rather than helpful.
I came in with a clear goal to improve the gapping between my 3 hybrid and 2 wood. Rather than working toward that, he repeatedly stated that he "hates" when people come in for fittings before the season and that it's a waste of time. Hearing that directly from the person being paid to provide the service is unacceptable.
The tone only got worse. I was told that if I wanted better results, I should "go get lessons." When I explained that I already do, the response was to "get a better teacher." That level of condescension is completely unprofessional, especially toward a paying customer who is a mid-handicap player (around a 10) and came in looking for a proper fitting--not to be talked down to.
Overall, the session felt like an inconvenience to him rather than a service being provided. I left without any useful recommendations and with zero confidence in the process. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend working with him. read more
