I am SUPER disappointed at how my conversation went with COO Dori concerning my event on 6/24/22. We expressed two different concerns, one being the miscommunication on the company's end about the generators needed to have a successful event and the second being the lateness with picking up the equipment. In our conversation, Dori's responses were quick to redirect blame onto us for both issues. When I initially booked our event one of the employees Christian, did ask if we would be needing a generator. I responded that we would be able to supply power and asked what wattage is needed based on what inflatables we booked. His response was that a 2200W generator would be needed because that is what they use. The day before the event, another employee Sebastian called to confirm dropoff and pickup time as well. In my conversation with Sebastian he confirmed both time windows. I requested a 3:00pm pickup on my contract, given my event was ending at 2:30pm. Sebastian was very honest in saying that realistically they may get there between 3pm - 5pm for pick up. I expressed my concerns that 5pm is too late because this was an event at a school. He said they will see what they can do on their end. While on the phone with Sebastian I questioned the power needed for my event once again. He pulls up my information and mentions that we would need TWO 2200W generators based on what inflatables we had. The day of my event the gentlemen who came to drop off and pick up were great, I only was able to get one of their names Syshawn. They recognized immediately that we did not have enough generators to power all of our inflatables. They mentioned when they normally set up larger inflatables they use 3000W+ to be effective. Naturally we ran into unnecessary power issues at this point, with three different responses of what was needed to power THEIR EQUIPMENT. All of the gentlemen were still great in helping us navigate these issues with distributing power so we could have some type of event for the children. There is definitely a MAJOR disconnect between the frontline employees being more knowledgeable about how their equipment operates than the staff in the office who are managing the booking process. Despite the adjustments we made, our slide inflatable did keep deflating some during our event, that we had to keep fixing. When it came time to pick up I called about three times during my pick up window of 3-5pm to find out constant updates. Around 3pm the office told me that the guys had to still make a close dropoff, go to Yonkers, and then come pick up from us in the Bronx. I believe I spoke to Chris at the time and he estimated another hour or so based on gps status. When I called back about 4pm for another update Chris then said that it would be another hour or two because a truck broke down and those same guys had to cover the route. I expressed my concerns, and he said he would call back and see what they can do on their end to expedite pickup. I ended up calling them back the 3rd time, this is about 20 mins after 5pm, for yet another update. The drivers ended up calling me for the pickup saying they were about 30 mins away according to the GPS and apologized because they hit a lot of traffic coming back from Yonkers. When Chris gave us another update, we requested to just speak with a manager at this point. He said that there was no manager available to speak to us that day and that we would have to wait until Monday to speak with anyone who is able to make decisions. Shortly after COO Dori is available to speak with us concerning our issues. Regarding our power issues, she claimed that because we declined needing a generator our power issues were our fault and there is nothing she can do about that. In her eyes it would have been a bigger concern had her staff not mentioned supplying us with a generator at all. I explained that supplying our own power was not the issue, the fact that her staff communicated three different responses of what was even needed to operate the equipment was the issue. When I mentioned that her frontline employees knew immediately upon arrival that more wattage would be needed to operate the inflatables compared to those who handled my booking, her response was they don't carry 3000W+ generators and that obviously we would need more power considering we had three pieces of equipment. As a customer, how is it my responsibility to know how much power is needed to operate a piece of rental equipment when the company providing the equipment can't even answer the question? Regarding my pickup time, Dori outright LIED and claimed she spoke directly to ME to confirm a 5pm pickup (as I mentioned before I spoke directly to Sebastian). She claims that had I voiced my concerns that a 5pm pickup was too late they would have prioritized the routes to accommodate an earlier pickup time. If you're planning on booking with them: They don't background check entertainers. You could have a registered offender at your party unbeknownst to you, and even to the company, as they don't bother to check! They also don't clean face painting brushes between parties. Just had me dump the water out and reuse the same brushes without cleaning or sanitizing them for a new party of kids. Worked here for two days. They have zero regard for other peoples time and will mix up your schedule after confirming it numerous times, having you wait countless unpaid hours in an office hours away from the city with no transportation back until THEY decide it's time to take you back in their shuttle. They wanted me to drive from party to party on my SECOND DAY when I don't have a New York drivers license or insurance in this state FOR FREE. Because they don't compensate you for your time driving when you're a driver even though you're liable for yourself/equipment/another person when you're behind the wheel, only "party hours". Essentially you're working for less than minimum wage. It's $20 an hour PER PARTY HOUR when you start shadowing but they keep you there for twelve hours or more because you're at their mercy waiting on transportation, and you only realistically work like 5-8 paid "party hours". They use live bunnies for a magic act, keep the bunny without food or water all day in a small carrier and when I asked why I can't give the bunny water, they said it's policy not to. It's a policy to withhold food and water from a living creature you're using for twelve hours? Neglectful and abusive. They're transporting the bunny from place to place in the back of a vehicle like luggage and then keeping the bunny outside during parties until they're ready to be used for the performance during which the bunny is placed into a wooden box and made to appear and be pet by children. They keep the bunnies in tiny cages filled with fecal matter when they're not being used for performances in the basement of a facility at 200 Meacham Ave and there are over forty bunnies on a rotation with continuously new bunnies being bred, according to another employee. I attached a picture of where the bunnies are stored after hours. The cherry on top of it all is that after being given an inaccurate schedule and being made to show up to the office four hours prior to my first "party hour" due to their own scheduling incompetence, I was belittled and yelled at when asked to be compensated. The secretary called the owner of the company on the phone, whom I have never met in person, I didn't speak a word before he immediately started yelling at me, calling me entitled for refusing to drive illegally. He said that my generation is worthless essentially and that I was now unemployed for making "demands". Absolutely deranged. I've never been disrespected like that for expressing discomfort over something perfectly reasonable. Even the secretary started crying. His yelling was absolutely uncalled for. I was removed from the scheduling app and told to leave, and they were refusing to pay me for the hours I had worked the previous day. I refused to leave until they paid me and kept implying I would be paid in a few days but thankfully I was paid because I definitely felt like they would withhold even my bare minimum paycheck for the hours worked yesterday out of retaliation. According to other employees, they have to continuously remind office staff to disburse payments and have been waiting for compensation owed to them from months ago. read more

Want to start off by saying this company is nothing but FRAUDULENCE. First of all, my family and I have booked with Clowns.com twice, both times entertainment was out of the 30 minute window, both times the princess we requested looked an absolute wreck, both times there was some kind of technical issue, both times entertainers tried to leave before the 90 minute time frame I PAID for was over, both times entertainers tried to convince me to tip them upfront before I had seen anything. Both times I was sent the same girl entertainer that I had hoped wouldn't get sent, given her constant belligerent mannerisms, and nasty attitude as well as her extremely low tolerance for children. Wanted Elsa one year and got HER blonde hair in a messy braid when I was told entertainer would be wearing an obvious Elsa WIG. Then now, second year we requested rapunzel, same girl shows up completely unprofessional not even a smile on her face and yet she's wearing HER hair, when low and behold I was told she would be wearing an obvious RAPUNZEL WIG. when I brought up the matter to her kindly since my sister (host) was too angry to, she responded with "well this is my hair like it or not it's when you got" well excuse me? That's the kind of employee a children's entertainment company is going to send out to these excited and innocent children? The entire time my sister was stressed about hiring this company a second time, and they failed a second time was beyond me. It's sold as "FULL face painting" and what does she do? One heart on the cheek. Just a Spider-Man forehead, just snowflake on the cheek, mind you when I said you can Fray away from small designs she responded with "this is what I do." Games were absolutely pathetic, she played duck duck goose for 7 year olds that were totally too old for it when in fact her partner insisted they play tug of war and hot potato which I was thrilled to see, she sat on her ass with a puss on her face. One game in a 90 minute party, versus when I got a handful last year, is exactly when I knew their goal was to leave my sisters venue early. The best part is the magic show, the kids couldn't even be contained that's what they LOVE. "Rapunzel" took over the entire show her poor pArtner couldn't open his mouth once she did 3 tricks, kids totally bummed since it was the least bit funny, finally the bunny (which she did NOT let the kids pet) and her excuse was "your kids are too rough" for a crowd she forced duck duck goose on was too rough? Come the end they leave 25 minutes EARLY, so I said to them you're leaving early and they say "sorry company policy" she brings in her schedule and says "sorry this is what I have to deal with today. If you had a problem with it call my boss and tell him" WHILE walking out of the restaurant, so I didn't tip because I got 100% gipped. The only thing I did not get gipped with was cotton candy! I will NEVER book again, nor will my 60 guests. Not to mention I called day of when they were 20 minutes outside the window- manager George couldn't care any less and hung up on me when I said I wanted a refund if they didn't arrive in the next 10 minutes. They took $424 from me! I hosted an outdoor party with my cousin for her sons 5th birthday, we purchased the sonic character which would come with everything they offer pretty much. $100 deposit was paid and $324 was paid later. The weather was bad and it rained on the original date we had picked so we had to reschedule. The sonic character was booked every day for like months afterwards and wouldn't be available on the rescheduled date. They said we couldn't get the deposit back and that it would be 10-12 days for a refund. The party was 5/28, we canceled on 5/25! After MULTIPLE calls DAILY to the store and the manager and emails to the CEO ( with NO response!!!!!!) I called my bank and a few days later clowns refunded me $324. On 6/22 A MONTH LATER! They refunded me. Today is 7/14 I check my account and $324 is withdrawn from CLOWNS.COM!!! I never received any business from there but they expect to keep over $400!!! For nothing!!! The MANAGERS response to me was I'm not the only one waiting for a refund and it should be 10-12 days! Even tho I'm calling after the 12th Day OBVIOUSLY!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!! Ive booked with clowns 2 weeks before my daughters first birthday and they have been so accommodating and kept in touch until my daughters big day. My daughters birthday was in an Italian restaurant, so there was really nothing for the kids to do other than play with utensils and run around. As soon as our entertainers arrived (AMANDA and SIMONE) all the kids were excited to see Elena of Avalor and a clown. Their entrance surprised all the kids and me as well! I have seen several entertainers from plenty of parties my family and friends have thrown but THESE TWO ENTERTAINERS WERE AMAZING! Even the adults had fun! I was having a ball and the kids were having the time of their life! Especially my daughter! Amanda played Elena better than Disney! and did mention she was so sweet and respectful to ALL of my family, especially my little princess! Amanda and Simone are definitely in the right business and because of them, I will ALWAYS choose this company and them as our entertainers. Did I mention that she's an amazing artist?! Simone was hysterical! He had my rolling on the floor with how funny he was! My family loved him! His balloon skills was awesome! These two entertainers made a great pair and I was so lucky to have these two picked for my daughters special day! Calling to make sure everything was in order they did great!! Now let's talk about the Moment they made there gran entrance... it was pumping before it even officially started. I was so hyped just on how they came in. I had the privilege to have Katie and her team with us and omg she was awesome and her team was right there with her ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!! So my first review on Yelp goes to Clowns.com. First let me say, we found out about clowns.com by going to my sons classmates birthday party on 12/9/17 out in Bayport, NY. It was Kate and Aaron (Bobo and Bubbles). My wife and I saw that they did an amazing job with the kids getting them involved and making the birthday girl the star of the show. They were professional and engaging all around. There was face painting and balloons and a magic show.The kids loved it! So we asked them "How do we hire you guys?". They said we needed to call Clowns.com which we did the following week. I spoke to Alex and I believe Christian to set it up and to confirm that week for my sons birthday party on 12/16/17 at our house. We got the same package with Spiderman. I gotta say, I thought at first an Hour was not enough but boy was I wrong! It was perfect. We requested Kate and Aaron and we Got Kate and Sean. They were both fantastic! They were on time and were set up within 4 minutes of arrival. They were professional, energetic, engaging, happy and polite. The kids loved them! I needed to cancel my sons party for financial reasons earlier this year BEFORE COVID started. I spoke with someone and was offered half my deposit which I was fine with. I have still not received my refund despite numerous calls. Every time I call I get told that because of covid the accounting department is backed up. I totally understand that however as I said my refund request was put in BEFORE COVID not during. The last couple of times I called I have been told the end of the week and weeks go by and still nothing. Then this last time I called I was out on hold numerous times so the employee can answer other calls. He would tell me "hold on one moment" mid sentence and not even allow me to respond with an "ok". It was extremely rude. I understand that he is working from home but when you are already on the phone with a customer you don't put them on hold to talk to another customer. The other customer holds on and is probably told from an automated voice that "all operators are on the phone with other customers. Please wait for the next operator." Apparently this is not how this company is handling customers calls. I was absolutely put on hold because he didn't like what I was saying. I've used this company before and had a great experience (reason why I booked them again) but now after the way I've been treated in this case I don't see myself hiring them again. read more

Our experience with clowns.com couldn't have been better. They performed at my son's 4th birthday party and completely blew us away. Gina and Chris had the kids pumped from the second they walked through the door until the second they pulled a live rabbit out of a box for the grand finale. Even the 3rd clown who looked to be in training was the absolute sweetest girl who caught my eye more than once and looked to be having just as much fun as the rest of us. The energy and enthusiasm of the performers plays a huge part in how the show is received and wow, did we luck out! Chris and Gina were born entertainers who had the kids (and adults) completely engaged in their fun from start to finish. The look on my son's face (accompanied by his outbursts of joy and amazement) during the show was nothing short of magical! It's safe to say it was the happiest and most excited I've ever seen him in his 4 years of life. I would highly recommend this team of performers to any parent looking to make sure their little (and big!) guests have a blast. We've been at other performances by clowns.com in the past and this was by far the best we've seen. My daughter wanted a superhero theme for her 5th birthday party. I don't write reviews often, but I felt the need to share how great this company was. The customer service on the phone was amazing. Very helpful and to the point. The man was enthusiastic and understanding. My package contained 2 superheros: wonder woman and superman. Now lets be honest this can be hit or miss with any company. Thank goodness are entertainers looked great! Brett & Karina were 25 min early and waited for the kids to arrive before they started. They took special attention to the birthday girl and made every attempt to include her younger sister ( who was very upset she was not the center of attention). I had 23 kids at my party and they controlled the crowd smoothly. I did not have one kid crying or upset the whole time. There was more than enough cotton candy, the face painting was great quality, music selection was modern and age appropriate, and the balloon twisting was basic but the kids loved it. Anytime a child popped their balloon they replaced it immediately. When a guest walked in late they made sure to pass them a cotton candy and apply face painting.
