    Absolutely fantastic from A to Z!! Great experience with setting up tents for an outdoor, socially distanced family dinner. Incredibly professional and reliable. World certainly recommend!!

    After contacting LOTS of companies all over LI for quotes , I found that Magnificent Tent company was the most professional, affordable and genuinely interested in helping answer all my questions than any other company anywhere on LI. I was worried planning a party from another state but these guys put me right at ease. They were professional, knowledgeable about their products and helped me decide what exactly to order. They arrived on time ;-) and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect (and even to my mother in laws liking! Lol) The tent, chairs and tables were very very clean and looked liked were kept in good condition. This is the ONLY tent company I would recommend on all on Long Island! I spent hours and hours of speaking with and obtaining quotes from other companies and let me save you the time.. contact Justin and his crew at Magnificent Tent rentals..I promise you're picking the best there is.

    This was our first time doing such a large party with a rental company. And Magnif-A-tent really surpassed all expectations. Patrick and everyone we're so exceptionally nice. Their pricing is way better than other competition. I had ordered a large tent but then fear of weather (which it did end up raining heavily during the party) I ordered a smaller tent last minute the day before and they guys came through and the day of the party, they were here as scheduled and the tents went up so perfectly with no hassle. They did not bother at all. During the party all the guests loved the tables and linen which matched perfectly and then the lighting was so perfect for the night and was not dark at all. When it rained it didn't affect us at all. The tents held up and made the party even better. Our backyard was transformed. And at pickup the guys again came and left with no hiccups or even a bother. I would definitely book them again for any other outdoor event.

    On Monday of last week I purchased a track machine from DeAngelis Rentals / Parhar Repairs. The…read morelisting stated the machine "ran mint," had about 1,490 hours, was maintained in-house by their mechanics, and had new tracks. Before agreeing to the deal I spoke directly with the owner and specifically asked if the machine had any major issues beyond cosmetic wear and if it operated as it should. He assured me it ran very well and had no issues at all. We agreed on a deal Monday morning and the machine was delivered by midday. When it arrived, the machine was extremely dirty and the tracks were packed with mud, cement, and debris. I was told it had been on rental the day before. The listing had also been up for some time, yet the machine now had over 1,600 hours, not the ~1,490 hours advertised. I unloaded the machine and ran it briefly, then parked it. About an hour later I went back to properly test it and immediately heard a knocking noise. Thinking it might just be debris stuck in the tracks, I started cleaning them out. That's when I discovered the track was worn extremely thin and actually broken, and the drive sprocket was completely worn down. I called the owner immediately and his response was "I had no idea." There were also several other issues with the machine. To his credit, he agreed to send a mechanic out to replace the track and sprocket. Two days later the mechanic came and installed them. After finishing, we both test drove the machine and it was still clearly not operating properly. The mechanic said he needed to go speak with his boss. I spoke with the owner again and he said he would think of something and get back to me. At this point I had already lost three full days and still had not been able to use the machine since delivery. Because the track and sprocket were worn so badly, I suspected a deeper issue and had the machine inspected by a mechanic who specializes in this exact model. The diagnosis was that the drive system itself is failing, which is a major and expensive repair. When I finally spoke with the owner again on Friday, I was passed off to a second owner who said he would come look at it Monday. At that point I explained that the machine had been inspected and clearly had significant mechanical issues, far beyond normal maintenance. The hours were misrepresented, the track was broken upon delivery, the sprocket was worn out, and the machine absolutely did not "run mint" as advertised. I asked them to simply take the machine back. By then it was Friday and I still had not been able to use it. Instead, they continued to try putting band-aids on the problem to get me to keep it. I even offered to let them keep some money for the delivery, but the owner refused and told me I should have done my due diligence and had it inspected before buying it. Honestly, that's the first thing he said that I agree with. But I specifically asked him to be honest with me before making the deal, and I trusted that I was dealing with a reputable rental company that maintained its equipment properly. When he refused to take the machine back, it became clear what kind of situation I was dealing with. Lesson learned. I assumed that the year, hours, and the fact that it was coming from a rental company meant it would be as advertised. The machine is now being inspected by the manufacturer and the company that originally sold it. We'll see where this goes, because misrepresenting equipment in a sale is not something any business should be doing. Buyer beware.

We hired Anthony, the owner of this company, from a recommendation. We had been communicating with him for weeks with our needs, ideas for playlists etc. The NIGHT BEFORE he tells us in a text that he would not be doing our event and Vlad was coming. Two different people, sent by Anthony show up from another company, Constant Entertainment. One was Danny who took our money. We were assured that Vlad understood what we wanted and would be great. To say he was TERRIBLE would be an understatement. He had zero engagement with the crowd, I mean literally never said one word. There were over 150 people there and he got nobody up. People had to start making requests that he either ignored or played weird remixes of.I still do not understand what happened and never met Anthony. When we texted him the next day about how horrible of an experience, we had he said that he often sends other dj's to his jobs because they are "better than him" I still do not understand why we paid another dj from a different company, Constant Entertainment and how Vlad is connected to this whole experience. I can't warn you enough to stay away from either company because no matter what you think you are getting you might end up with Vlad. There are so many choices of djs in the area DEFINITELY find another company.

Most places rush you off the phone and could care less about any questions or concerns that you might have. Racheal from Academy Tents was amazing to work with!!! She was very polite,professional and so helpful with this process. Their prices are competitive and they really aim to please! Their tents are clean and set up was terrific. Rachel did a fantastic job adding tulle and lights that made the inside of the tent look so elegant. I will definitely be using them again and would refer them 1000% THANK YOU RACHEAL!

    I wish I could agree with all the great reviews here, but I just can't. We used Academy for our…read morebackyard wedding. The day they were supposed to set up, the guys were about 2 hours late, ok it happens. They had to come back the next day to put up sidewalls and set up the chairs. As soon as they left, we realized so many problems, the chairs and tables were filthy. There was some sticky residue on some of them, even a m&m or some other candy stuck to some of the chairs, the sidewalls had dirt on them, some of the windows had puncture holes in them as well. The bar we rented from them has seen better days, it was so bad that my mother in law wound up wrapping it with a plastic tablecloth so it looked at least somewhat decent. When my now husband called the office to complain, the woman he spoke with seemed completely annoyed by us. They did send the crew back to fix what they could, one of the guys told us that he's been telling his bosses that they need to have someone clean everything once the tents are picked up, but it doesn't happen. It was so much unnecessary stress added to what is supposed to be a happy time. To think any of this is ok for a event, let alone someone's wedding, is just ridiculous. The only reason this isn't a one start review is because the main guys from the setup crew were extremely apologetic.
