Cusd treats its Instructional Aids very poorly. There is no thought to the person and their gifts or education, they just shove you where there is a hole that needs to be filled. Most people who apply to these jobs have a love for the population and that is not considered-at all. Facilities are good and kept up well. They have some really great teachers that care about their students. The administrators are paid very well and unfortunately in some situations they care more about the staff than the students. I have had many friends switch to Fresno Unified because they listen to parents. I left Clovis Unified because of how our family was treated. I had 3 children graduate from CUSD schools and it is slowly getting worse. I won't have my last one in a school district that doesn't care. read more

This school district is ridiculous... they have kids from Fresno that shouldn't even be able to attend Clovis schools because hey don't live in Clovis but they do ... then they have kids that live in Clovis and send them to Fresno or Sanger schools ... definitely ran by a bunch of idiots that's for sure . Just like an elementary school that is in pinedale ... that should in no way shape or form be considered Clovis unified ... rather comical ... surprised they haven't been sued over there bad conduct of business . Just graduated from Clovis High school and I am absolutely relieved. Rude does not even begin to describe a majority of staff members (not teachers) that work there. Immediately when you ask any questions you are met with aggression and attitude for no reason whether you are a parent or especially a student. The dress code is ridiculously strict and yet has not stopped inappropriate relations amongst students and staff (shout out Mr.Coughmann and Faith). People consider it an "honor " to graduate from this district but if you don't want to make your child miserable do not send them here. read more

The schooling for this school is good but i cant say the same for the teachers there and one in particular. The female teacher Martinez is extremely rude to not just the kids but parents as well. She constantly has attitude and questions everything towards her students and parents. read more

Of course I'm going to be biased~ my daughter goes to school in this district! I believe there is a difference in Fresno and Clovis District. Just the parent involvement is 5 stars alone. Our daughter goes to Weldon ( in old town) and the staff is great. I am in the P.T.A. and I love the fact that the principal makes it a point to attend every meeting. I'm a bit partial to her school, but I would support any Clovis School. read more

I am a product of this school district and looking back I had a pretty good education. Not that the classes really prepared me for the real world, it was the experience that taught me how I "learn" and adapt to the world. I certainly feel lucky that people weren't packing, I didn't have to go through metal detectors and the schools offered as much learning as I cared to take. After going off to college and learning of other experiences it was evident how good the curriculum really was. If I ever have children I hope to be able to put them in a school district this good. read more

What a fng joke!!! This place is a$$ backwards! Have absolutely no idea wtf they're doing. Customer service is terrible, absolute brainless employees not helping and not sure what's going on ever! They will split up your children making it impossible to get them to school on time, yet demand you comply with the school. They blame the school and the school blames them, truly not knowing which is the true culprit. 2 years ago I got my son approved to stay at his current site and my younger two had their open enrollments accepted. Now knowing fully well that Sherene Malan had approved my son to stay and that it would be for his best interest to stay because of his IEP, student services and the poop-hole that is riverview elementary have decided to split up my kids again, and expect me to be at two places at the same time 12 miles apart!!! So the word and promise I was given by student services is absolute garbage. People talk so much crap about Fresno Unified and Central Unified when the truth is Clovis Unified school district is an absolute joke! I have never dealt with a more dysfunctional office/district full of liars and inept people able to have any form of COMMON SENSE!!! Save yourself the trouble, and the money of trying to stay in district because it won't matter unless you are a teacher, a$$ kisser to office staff or are blowing the correct people. read more

My kids attend this school district. CLovis unified school district schools in my opinion is the best school district in the Fresno and Clovis area. The schools have excellent and passionate teachers. The facilities are newer than some of the older schools in the Fresno area. The only downside to the Clovis unified schools are the fact that the kids tend to be from rich or upper middle class families and sometimes they are a bit trendy and pretentious. My kids sometimes complain about being made fun of by snooty kids...that being said majority of them are nice kids. read more

I am a product of Clovis Unified and I it was a good experience and a top notch education. I went to Mickey Cox, Clark Intermediate, and Clovis High School. Just a couple years ago, 2007 I believe Clovis made big improvements on the California Standardized testing, which definitely means something. And besides that Clovis Unified has several California Distinguished School awards. That means something folks! And not to mention Buchanan and Clovis West made the top 1500 high school list in America!!! If my 5 stars isn't good enough check the statistics! read more

Even though Clovis Unified is a smaller school district compared to Fresno Unified, the quality of education far surpasses that of any other school district in the valley. Fresno Unified schools genuinely seems to care about their students and their work. Too many times, we see the american education riddled with teachers who can justifiably be called babysitters, but this has not been the case with my experience with CUSD. The teachers want to teach and I have had met so many brilliant educators here. read more

I like Clovis Unified. I went to Clovis High. I hated the dress code. They said that they wanted us to look professional. That's a lie. Some of the administrators were out of dress code. They would wear caps that didn't have the Clovis High logo. They weren't even blue and gold. Besides how would it hurt them if I wore sandals, shorts in the winter, a professional sports team shirt or cap, or if I wore my eyebrow piercing? They don't have a problems if the administrators violate the dress code. read more

Do not participate in the laptop program. you will over pay for the laptop and expect to get great service. They do not do what they say. I took the laptop back 3 times and the IT department could not fix the problem. Go to best buy and pay 1/3 cost and sign up for their IT service. You will get better service and pay less. The IT department at Best Buy is smarter faster and cost less. read more
