Bathrooms are clean enough and decently well stocked. Parents can grab a seat on one of many benches and there is good visibility as the kids run from area to area. There are baby and regular swings, and one big flat disk that you can lay down on. There are also spider web ropes for climbing. The softball fields are great for running the bases in between games, or flying a kite in the outfield. We tend to come in the evenings when it's cold so we haven't had a chance to use the splash pad but the structures in the area are still available for climbing. Solid choice for running off some kid energy.

There's a communal bench area that's covered that looks good for parties (with a cool King Neptune statue). There are really beautiful and unique stone water fountains shaped like seashells integrated into the walls. It feels like a magical little park with groovy animals/shapes. My kid was able to enjoy the splash pad all to herself. There's an outdoor shower right by it as well to rinse off. The splash pad was interactive and fun. There are various swing sets here of different styles fit for different ages. There was ample parking. Many of the areas are shaded. The bad: We came upon opening hours and the gate wasn't open yet. People opened it around 7 minutes late. My husband and I were about to leave but luckily stood around trying to make phone calls for long enough that someone eventually came and opened the gate. The interesting: After an hour or less at the splash pad the button to turn the water on stopped working.

Revisit? No, sadly!…read more Atlantis Play Center is not maintained well. It's disappointing because it could be a pleasant, fun place for families. Instead there's bird poop, spider webs, and litter everywhere. The splash pad wasn't operating when we visited. Some of the playground equipment is rusty. All of it is outdated with some strange design choices. We were the only ones there, which after a while was sad and a bit creepy. I like that there's so much shady greenery and that the park is fenced in with an affordable admission fee. In fact, that's how an Instagram influencer convinced me to check this place out (last time I listen to that person, ay yi yi). But it's messed up how the ticket seller took our money with a big smile and told us to have a good time -- not letting us know that the splash pad was broken and sending us to play in a neglected mess. When I asked about the splash pad, I was told to contact Garden Grove city hall for updates. Not sure what's going on with this place. Maybe the employees could at least pick up trash and wipe away bird poop.

It reminds me of those playgrounds wheels from the 80s but with more safety considerations without removing the fun. The play area is turf and surrounded by picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, with plenty of shade. The design is thoughtful and makes for a great place to spend an afternoon. The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). Still a nice place to enjoy a coffee or picnic and let the kiddos play.

Seems like a good park for older kids, but it's just okay for toddlers…read more Pros: Plenty of parking. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Large grassy areas. Clean. Picnic benches. Interesting play structure with tons of climbing (almost like a mini ropes course) for older kids. Cons: No bathroom. No shade. The playground says it's for ages 2-12, but there's hardly anything there for a 2-3 year old, so you quickly run out of things to do. The toddler play structure is tiny, and the older kids' play structure is inaccessible for toddlers because of all the climbing required to get on it.

It's a replica of a fire station. I would say this is a good place for kids up to seven years old to play. The park also has a really large grass area, where I usually take my dog to get some exercise. Take note, that on the weekends this place can be quite packed. Twice now we arrived and there is absolutely no parking because of soccer games: once it was a soccer game for kids and the second time was a soccer game for adults. Also keep in mind there's very limited shade so I would not come here on a really hot day.
