I'm sad that after 42 years of faithful service, this pedestrian bridge will be torn down.
This bridge is used by commuters via foot and bicycle to the downtown core.
It connects us to nature. It is a family recreational destination.
During the week, this bridge is used by over 1000 people daily. On the weekends, it's more than 2000.
In the next 4 years or so, there will be another bridge to service the bipedal population, so don't despair. Unless you want to. There is a rally on Saturday, April 23 at 12:30pm if you want to commune with others and form a human chain. read more
