I've been coming to clover nails for almost a year now and I absolutely love them. Doris is so sweet and texts me on holidays and my birthday! I go every 2 weeks for a regular pedicure and powder gel on my hands. Mr. Wong is the best for pedicure and always gets the water temperature just right. I'm very ticklish but when he scrubs my feet I almost never flinch. The time Doris takes during my appointments shows how much pride she takes in her work. For Christmas I had no idea what to get as my go to color is always red so it didn't feel festive to me. Doris helped me pick out a sliver glitter ombré on white nails and I loved it. It cost me $65 for the services I get which is very reasonable for the area. Doris makes it a point to get to know all her regulars and treats us like family. It's also pretty quiet and empty whenever I go as Doris really schedules everyone at good times so you don't feel rushed. I definitely recommend you call ahead as well everyone is really booked and busy so they can't always take walk ins. read more

I'm wishy washy about this place. Since I've moved to glen cove 6 months ago I've been frequenting this nail salon. The lure from the outside was $16 manicure & pedicure sign. Let's be honest...That is CHEAP! Not like you care, but my rent & bills are higher since sandy stole my apartment, so I needed a cheaper solution for my mani/pedi addition. The other reviews said that the employees were rude to them. They aren't OVERLY nice, but they seemed fine to me. You get what you pay for basically. If you are getting a $16 mani/pedi don't expect them to butter your biscuit. The thing that kind of annoys me about this place is their massage chairs when you are getting a pedicure. They basically just vibrate & give you a headache. Cleanliness - 3 stars. Not crazy clean, but not dirty either. read more

The owner was never there. Only 2 employees husband and wife. They just did their job and didn't get paid more or less by quantity of customers and most of their in come came from tips. And it was true that they remembered which customer gave generous tip or less. I went there often and saw different greeting from them. I always gave 20-30% tip and I agreed that I never once got the word Thank you from them. But compared with somewhere else that service cost more plus 20% tip. This place is still cheaper. I had legs massage service with pedicure for $35 for the whole 1 hr ,$10 in tip still cheaper than somewhere near by $45 massage plus $10 pedicure plus tip. Went to get Mani and Pedi here with my fiancé. The Mani/Pedi cost $28 a piece so my fiancé gave a $5 tip to each person that helped us which is an 18% tip. The woman looked at my fiancé and said, really a $5 tip each that's not enough for a mani/pedi. Since when was an 18% tip not enough. Most people I know only tip 10-15%. She was so rude to my fiancé. He then gave a $10 tip to each person that helped us because she made him feel so bad. What a horrific customer service experience! That and their files and equipment are are not sterilizered well and I didn't see the files go into or come out of the sterilizer which is NY law. read more

I live in DC but come to Glen Cove two or three times a year to see family. I make it a point to visit Clover Nails every time. In DC I count myself lucky if I can get a basic pedicure for $35 so at $21 for a pedicure with extra callus treatment Clover is really well priced for me. I have never had anyone be rude to me or my family. They are friendly enough, but I prefer peace and quiet to relax while getting my nails done, so perhaps that reads as standoffish to others. I have always been extraordinaryly pleased with the results. I always go two weeks without a chip, even in summer with all open toed shoes. read more

I'm mad I even had to give this one damn star . Went there for a gel French fill in and the French started to wear out within a couple days I went back and asked for a regular gel manicure then they had the nerve to charge me when it was their nail polish that messed up within a couple days ! I can't believe it I tipped them so well also and they were very ungrateful there not good business people either . Horrible horrible business . Smfh read more

I had an awesome experience there today. I did the exact facial and a pedicure. salon has great ambience and is quiet and relaxing. The facial was terrific and involved steam, some kind of vacuum extraction as well as another sonic tool of some sort. one of the best facials I have had in years and just a lovely experience. read more

Clover Nails consistently does a fine pedicure. The staff is cordial but not ingratiating; they don't chat me up when I'm trying to enjoy the experience. The work is expert, the pedicurists are accommodating, and the price is low. Great value. I recently had high-priced care at the celebrated Spa Castle in Queens. Nothing wrong with that, but Clover was better. At our house we say, "Isn't it time again to put our toes in Clover." read more

I moved into town about a year ago and started frequenting clover nails. I like their reasonable prices but always felt a naty vibe from the staff, especially the owner. She never said thank you for coming in but for some reason I continued to go there. After reading the previous post, it could be because I didn't tip over 20% and that could be why I got the cold shoulder. They should be happy they are getting business with their attitudes. I would prefer a salon where they acknowledge your patronage and give a simple thank you for coming. I went in last week to get my eyebrows waxed and it was empty. She did not say thank you or goodbye and I left a tip! There are many other salons in town with staff that has a better disposition. read more

NIGHTMARE! I went in around 7:00p.m. to inquire whether they were open or not. They asked me what kind of service I wanted and I told them I wanted to get both manicure and pedicure and so did my sister. They said come in we are open. I sat down for a manicure as my sister parked the car and walked in for her manicure and pedicure. Our manicure was over in two minutes and we were asked to move on to our pedicures. While we waited for our nails to dry one of the ladies (the eldest one) came to us and asked us to leave, saying that they had to go home. She pulled my leg and rubbed her fingers on my feet and said you are done - go! We told them that we just got our pedicure and it was not dry, she said she did not care and that we need to leave because they want to go home. I told her that she shouldn't have given us the service if she knew she could not give us the amount of time needed for the service. She said we are really bad customers for coming in late and she did not care if we never came back. We have given them business prior to this and the same things have been repeated. I had enough of it this time. I came back home after paying $40.00 for my nails to be done professionally and my nail polish was all over because she put my shoes on before it was dry. I have never been to a place where I have been told I am a bad customer for coming in late. They need to shut down their business, if they cannot respect their customers and give them the service they "apparently" offer. I even tipped them for their service. It is not about nails, it is about customer service. If they don't want their customers they should not have a business. They only care about money and not their services.
