Juan and his team did an amazing job on my backyard, and I'm very pleased. I have a small yard, but it had become unmanageable. I needed all the overgrowth cleared out, wanted to replace the patch of lawn with pavers, and add 4 sturdy posts for hanging hammocks. I didn't want to commit to building a full blown shade structure, and I'm still considering options for my perimeter flower beds. Juan was very accommodating and suggested a phased approach, which worked out great. I'll be able to use my yard now, while I ponder how far I want to go in the future. Importantly, his crew busted out the whole job in 3 and a half days! Other quotes I got indicated it would be at least a week, maybe longer. I have an in-person role at work so time off was limited and the speed he offered was key. They crew showed up early, worked hard all day, and cleaned up each night. Juan personally came by multiple times each day to check progress and insure the job was moving well. This allowed me to make a couple minor modifications in real time, which he was very gracious about accommodating. I can highly recommend Clover, and will be sure to reach out when I'm ready for phase 2. Thanks Juan!! read more

Clover Hardscape did a wonderful job in my backyard (in Palo Alto). Juan and his team removed the lawn and replaced it with pavers. Paperwork/contract was very easy as Juan addressed all my questions & on a timely basis. I have a long paved drive way and was concerned that it would be damaged during the paver work. Juan used wooden boards to protect it so no problems after the work. His team cleaned up after each day and I'm very happy with the work. Should have done it a long time ago. Highly recommend this company. read more

I had a great experience working with Juan and his crew. Our paver project was not as big this time, but it was still stressful planning it. Our front sidewalk and steps were cracking so we wanted to install pavers like our backyard. We also wanted to eliminate the steps so it's a sloping ramp. Juan was responsive and came out to give me a quote the same week. The quote was reasonable (I had one other quote) and we were able to set dates to get started. On the day of the project, I had a change in design and also added a new section. We were able to agree on a new price and they accommodated my concerns. The team completed the project in 2 days as promised and helped to clean up as much as possible. I should have probably suggested having them use their own water hose as they broke mine. But I've worked with quite a few workers on a variety of projects in the past and I would definitely work with them again. read more

Juan and his team did an amazing job to replace my front yard grass with artificial turf. The communication with Juan was quick, the quote was reasonable. The 3 people team was very hard working and did their best to keep the area clean both before and after. Juan he himself showed up a couple of times during the 2 days project to check the progress. I'd like to work with his team again for future yard projects! read more

Juan and his team are awesome. They installed a poured concrete pathway for me and it is beautiful. They did a great job and left the work area spotlessly clean. They were very respectful of my space - and I am super fussy! Juan fit me into his busy schedule to accommodate a quick completion target. He is responsive, communicative and dependable. I highly recommend Juan and his team. I'm looking forward to future projects with him and his team. Thank you, Juan! It is a pleasure working with you! read more

AMAZING! Your search for a landscaping team is now complete. Hire these guys. Previously we hired a DIFFERENT company to do our fake turf and bark. After spending many thousands of dollars our turf had lumps and grass starting growing through that and our bark was pathetically thin from the other company. Juan and his team quoted us fairly, assessed the situation and did an INCREDIBLE job. Right away I knew they were unlike the other crew. They had all the right power equipment and a big, legit team. Our prior company made all the additions during the process to the bill. Clover did not. They charged what they said they would. Our first (shady) landscaper didn't put plastic tarp down so tons of weeks grew through after like a month. Juan put professional grade tarp down and fixed the problem. I couldn't recommend them more!!!! Hire these guys. They are really reasonably priced too. If you find someone cheaper you're going to get what you pay for and have to redo it doubling your cost. read more

Juan was easy to communicate with when we were looking for contractors, he came and gave us an estimate which was middle of the range compared to 5 other quotes we got and gave us an actual start date that they stuck to. Juan, Doro and their team did a great job renovating our backyard, front yard and driveway. The project was a big one, although we had designs and Juan and team worked with us to modify the designs and provided recommendations. They were responsive, stuck to our budget and although the work took a few weeks longer than expected due to parallel projects they were working on the quality of the work was great. They also worked well in tandem with other contractors we hired (fences and gates). The project included leveling and hauling away dirt from the backyard, adding turf and pavers, porcelain outdoor tiles, standing up a pergola kit, creating retaining walls with stone facade, adding low voltage landscape lights, a planter box around the tree, demoing our driveway and widening it with pavers, installing drip lines to our existing sprinklers. I highly recommend hiring them for your landscaping needs. read more

Excellent service. I hired them to pave part of my backyard and the outcome looks great.

Juan and his crew did an amazing job installing turf in our front yard. We needed to replace our grass and also level the area to make it more suitable as a play area. Juan had the most reasonable estimate, and was able to think outside the box to do the levelling. Other installers who came out just complained about how it was impossible to level and provided ridiculous quotes (5x more) because they though the project was too difficult. Juan's crew did a nice job of installation - looks great and we spend more time on the turf than we ever did when we had grass, and we save on watering/mowing/aerating. read more

Juan and his team were great to work with. Our dirt/mud patch is now covered with beautiful turf that the dogs "christened" immediately after the crew left. I did go to Yelp to look for a landscaper. I called several for bids. We did make appointments for bids. Of the six I called, only 3 showed up, the others did not even call to cancel. I chose Jr's Landscaping by the reviews they had on Yelp and the price was right. Juan was the project manager who was very polite and punctual. We chose a date and they started at 8 a.m. Juan's crew removed a large number of established bushes and hauled them away. They also removed two Walnut tree stumps from my side yard in order to pour cement. This project started on a Thursday and was completed by the following Tuesday, with Sunday off and a delay because the artificial turf was not in stock. Juan and his crew were fast and efficient and did not waste any time. I recommend them very highly and will rehire them when we are ready to do our backyard. Thank you Juan and crew read more

I wish there was a six star option. These guy are phenomenal. I called Juan back to finally go for the larger paver project that I had been planning. Juan gave me some estimates that I needed to save for 6 months ago and honored those prices even with inflation. These guys did a SPECTACULAR job - check out the photos. I am a very very picky person, and everything I showed Juan he made sure was taken care of. From the slight curve (shown in photo three) to the position of the sprinklers, to the detail around the edging, these guys just knocked the cover off the ball. Also, very respectful crew. Doro and the guys always clean up at the end of the day, show up on time, and make me, my wife and two kids feel very comfortable. I wish all contractors were like Juan, responsive, professional, and more than anything is just a really great guy. I told Juan to use me as a reference for any of his jobs as well. read more

Juan and his team are a dream to work with. They provide premium quality work for a reasonable price. Our landscape project was challenging at many levels - it required clever phasing, complex irrigation systems, mix of hard scape types, intricate irrigation & lighting, and a lot of coordination with our general contractor. Juan and his team managed all of this with a high degree of skill and kindness. They made sure they got the job done at the right level of quality and on time. They did not cut corners and went above and beyond to deliver a 5-star result. The landscape is eye pleasing and an instant hit with visitors. Our driveway, which was made of cement and narrow, needed to be replaced and expanded. We sent out bids to about 7 contractors and had chosen Clover Paving and Turf to do the job as I could tell that I could work with Juan due to his personality coupled with the fact that his bid was more reasonable. I could tell that Juan was a good person and family oriented as he would always bring his nephew, who works with him, whenever he met with me.
