I went to this business some years ago now . knowing the fear that some have of cross contamination of blood I went in armed with my latest lab results and filled out the requested form and marked the box of " HIV Poz" because I am not afraid of any one knowing that I carry the virus . Well the female behind the counter accepted my funds copied my license then read the form and asked " did U make a mistake and mark that box wrong ". Well when I openly admitted that "YES I did mark it correctly" she walked into the back and asked a male who then read the form I filled out and he vehemently said " NO " . I received my funds back and walked out promptly. Now either the business owner and or it not just the staff needs to be trained and know what rights they might be violating . I mean I was after all upfront in stating my HIV status unlike some who I bet also know they are Poz as well but will mark the NO box . read more

Piercings are good, but their tattoos are significantly over-priced, and they are not willing to negotiate. Yes, their artists do good work, but most businesses would rather come down $20 than lose business all together. read more

I went in to get a piercing replaced. Staff was nice but were not able to help much. I needed helped picking out a good size and they basically said you have to figure it out yourself since I did not get the original piercing there. read more

Avoid Donavan if possible!! Bad attitude, and crooked letters!!!!! I wanted a memorial tattoo for a friend who committed suicide, one line in his handwriting on my wrist. Donovan's first issue with my design was once the handwriting was blown up, it wouldn't be legible. Fine, makes sense. So I asked for typewriter font. He told me it wouldn't be elegant...I wanted handwriting, elegance was not my goal. Then he told me my design was too small, and that no artist would even do a tattoo that small. Once we decided on a font and size, he told me the placement I wanted was unprofessional. I felt like I needed to remind him that the tattoo is going on MY arm, not his. Once we finally agreed on everything, he complained the whole time about how it was too small, but he could do it anyway, but no other artist would. The worst part was the As in my lettering were all different sizes, and the P was crooked!! I'm sorry, Donavan, but don't tell me my design is unprofessional when you can't even do straight lettering. This was supposed to be MY tattoo, MY memorial to a lost friend, and he ruined the entire experience. Unbelievable. I would not go back, at all. read more

Went for tattoos with my sister. Donovan, the tattoo "artist", refused to greet us for a solid 5 minutes after being told we were interested in getting tattoos. Mind you, he was standing 3 ft away. Texting. When he did talk to us, he was a complete d**k. After interacting with him for 10 seconds I decided he wasn't touching us, so we went with a piercing. The blonde lady piercer was less than friendly. And had bad aim. Also, the man with the fedora and beard who works at the desk in the back could have been friendlier. Pretty crappy business. I will say that the girl who works up front was a doll. But overall, this place is a bust. read more

For starters, you'll be lucky to find a sales rep to help you. Much less the ONE piercer or ONE tattoo artist that seem to never work on the weekends or in the evenings. The reps they do have are incredibly rude. One girl asked how she could help me, I told her the exact kind of earring I wanted and which case it was in and asked her to pull it out so I could make the purchase. She looked at me, said ok, and then turned and started helping another customer. That was our last time to the shop and don't plan to go back. I also don't recommend taking any piercing advice or having piercings done by Kari. She did a second lobe piercing for me and they are incredibly uneven and are taking much longer to heal than they should even with proper care. I bought an earring here for a tragus piercing that was already healed and asked her to change it out. My original piercing was a 16g; I picked out a 16g earring, at which point Kari intervened and insisted that the 18g ring would look better and she guaranteed me that the piercing wouldn't close any. She was wrong and when I decided to put the 16g jewelry back in, it wouldn't fit so now I have a ton of 16g jewelry that doesn't fit my piercing and I'm very limited on what jewelry I can use in my tragus. read more

If you're going for tattoos or peircings, you'll probably be fine. Thier artists are skilled and welcoming. If you're going for the head shop, don't waste your time. Employees in this section of the store are apathetic, lazy, or just downright rude. Stock is mediocre or missing, pipes and glasswork are overpriced. Don't ask questions or expect to be allowed to compare multiple peices, unless you don't mind having pissed off employees staring you down for interupting thier sitting time. They're also misinformed or under informed about legal alternative products. On a recent visit I was literally in front of the store when the clock ticked to midnight and had a manager lock the door in my face. Another guy came to the exit door, tried to ask the mgr if I could make the quick purchase and he ignored us both. A full on dick move even the other guy realized was uncalled for. I spoke to the mgr on the phone a few mins later where he argued with me for considerably longer than the purchase would have taken. His response was "what am I supposed to stay open another 2 minutes cause you didn't get here before 12? If you can't get here before 12 it's not my fucking problem". When I pointed out the purchase would have probably earned the store more than his hourly pay in those two minutes he hung up the phone. Classy guy, Clearly no concern for the neighborhood customers. Overall a shit experience with shitty people... Not that they care. I don't plan on returning. Really makes me miss the vibe of Bohemian Rapsody. read more

I recently passed by the store with ideas and pictures, ready to speak with an artist about my potential tattoo. Upon entering Cloud Nine, the staff seemed upset that their personal conversation would have to wait. Nevertheless, I made my way to the back, where the tattoo section of the shop is. There, I waited, but never spoke to an artist before leaving. I did see a gentleman, who appeared to be a tattooist, but he didn't acknowledge my presence. Instead he went into the back, and did not emerge again. However, the first gentleman I saw, when I walked in the front door, asked me if I had pictures of what I had in mind. I told him that I did, but that I wanted to show them to the artist, so that we could discuss ideas. (I wanted a custom piece like most people... they were going to quote me simply by looking at reference material.) The artist refused to meet with me, which is okay, because I dropped in without notice. However, what really ticked me off was that Cloud Nine refused to set up a general meeting so that I could come in the next day to speak with an artist. Instead, I was told that I would need to put down a deposit if I wanted to schedule a short meeting to discuss my potential tattoo. ---- The customer service at Wicked Ways Tattoo, right next door is 1000X better! -----Anyways, business must be booming at C9 b/c they are not eager to acknowledge nor entertain potential new clients. read more
