Very bad and rude customer service.
A Turkish man works there, possibly he owns the business, as he once owned the same type of failed business in Clane, County Kildare.
I brought in a Ted Baker Blazer i got as a birthday present for a smart-fitting job, and below was my experience.
1. His first comment was "is a bad material". I disregarded the negative comment, assuming he is implying it will be a difficult fabric to work on. I responded that it was a designer's outfit, and the name of the designer though the label stated it.
I was not there to seek his opinion of the quality of my blazer fabric, and there is no way he could have known better than Ted Baker fabric sourcing team. He just wanted to be rude.
2. The second comment he made was "how much it was". I said it was expensive, avoiding his question as it is none of his business what the blazer cost. At this point, I was beginning to conclude he was being rude and prejudicial, but I maintained my tolerance of his unprofessional interactions. It is not his business what the cost of the blazer was, and he obviously saw how expensive it was because the price tag was still on the blazer. He was just having a go at me.
3. The next thing he did was to comment on the Salmon coloured chino trouser i was wearing. "Pink trouser" he said. I ignored the statement to maintain my civility and thought to myself a better way to deal with the likes of him would be to publicly share my experience, instead of exchanging words with an ignoramus. My fashion sense or preference is not his business and i did not seek his validation of the same.
He said the alteration job would cost me €70 to slim down body/sleeve and shorten sleeves as i prefer them just right on the wrist line. So, i left the shop with my blazer stating the price was steep for the job, but the main reason i left was i would not spend my money in a place I was being disrespected. read more
