Others where masked or band aid type fix with a piece of same color trim, It was mostly all along the lower part of cabinets that the wood chipped completely off 5 large cabinets 3 above waist level and the 4th 5th one was Cabinet that rested on floor, Still till this day Friday May 20,2022 the counter tops still need polishing,. They left trims to be cut and my baseboards are missing, holes drilled by mistake on over head cabinets are have exposed brackets screws and wood it's an eye sore and looking ugly, Caulking around sink area is now chipping away just falling out little by little and water collects there next thing you know mold will build up in crevices, it has to be re done correctly,. The counter top has 2 chips we pointed out from the day it arrived they promised to repair it and still nothing why not inspect prior to delivery?

We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We cannot recommend Haynes too much.

The good news is they fixed all the problems ... well, mostly. The bad news is that there were just so many problems, causing endless delays. Staff was not available; planning was improvised and sloppy (requiring work to be redone again and again); work quality was indifferent. In the end I had to finish the clean-up, and I'm still fishing loose steel screws out of the cabinet shelves. Delays turned the promised 3-day job into 8 working days spread over two weeks, leaving us with no kitchen and a house mess for much longer than we planned. In the end, we got our kitchen cabinets resurfaced, and it looks fine. But what a frustrating, amateur road we travelled to get there. Cannot recommend this outfit.

What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. I had the pleasure of working with designer Melinda, who arrived right on time, wore shoe covers in our home, and was exceptionally professional, thoughtful, and intuitive. She truly understood our needs, guided us on selecting the right rod hardware and shelving color, and patiently revised our closet design until it was exactly right. Raena was incredibly helpful throughout the process--always available to answer questions and ensure billing went smoothly. The entire design process moved quickly, and our installation was scheduled right away. On installation day, Lennin and Claudio arrived on time and were absolute pros. They were friendly, clearly explained the process, and worked with care and precision. Their experience really shows--they've been doing this for years, and the quality of their work is outstanding. They kept the work area clean and even went above and beyond by installing hooks on the wall for us. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Closet Solutions - Los Alamitos. She designed a closet that best utilized the existing space, and, patiently went over changes that I wanted multiple times (as I'm a perfectionist) without unduly pressuring me into a decision. When Alex came onsite for our initial consultation, he explained their process very thoroughly. He made sure the closet had all the bells and whistles my mom had in mind. We got several quotes and the other companies were so pushy, we were turned off right away. Alex was very respectful the entire time and could tell he had a genuine interest in the project! We decided to go with them and are so happy we did. They had a very fair price that was an added bonus! The closet install was quick and efficient, done in several hours. My mom is so happy with her new closet - it's been a dream of hers for so long!

A long overdue review for CustomBuilt-Ins…read more We can't thank Doug and Eric enough for everything they did for us. We had a water leak in our kitchen Memorial Day of 2025. Repipe complete, then the builder came in. The project was to replace the island, lower cabinets of one wall, and repaint the kitchen. They took our check and started. Then virtually no progress in June, July, August, September, and October. I eventually drove to their shop to get my cabinets as they were unable to return them. We reached out to Doug at the beginning of November and he said they could help us out. They custom built and installed our island. They rebuilt our custom kitchen cabinets, and finished the kitchen painting. We were asking them to come in and finish a project that they had no history or familiarity with what we wanted, right before Thanksgiving. Doug and Eric spent time talking and working with us so we were all on the same page. Schedules made, notification messages of arrivals, and we always had a clear understanding of what will be done each day. We hope to have them back for other projects, and have recommended them to friends and family. THANK YOU CustomBuilt-ins !!
