My first trip to the UK and the first hotel I stayed in. I didn't know what to think at first. We had a room overlooking the street which I liked a lot. And breakfast was awesome, they go all out. Since it was my first trip there I had the full English breakfast and if you do that you really are good until evening. You could also modify the breakfast to suit your taste. Very clean hotel as well. ALSO this hotel is only about a 7 minute walk to the train station, very convenient. If I return to Exeter I WILL stay here.

The room was small but lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the tv had a decent number of channels for the short time I would be spending in the room. The location of the hotel itself is really good, near the Exeter St Davids station and not too far from the city centre. Breakfast was ok..I don't really like English breakfasts so I had to ask for certain things to be left off which they didn't always get right. The worst thing about my stay was the light coloured curtains. It was impossible to avoid the early morning sun pouring into the room and waking me up before 7am (fine on any other day, but not on holiday). The staff were friendly and If I come back to Exeter I might well stay here again.
