Back years ago (when I was a child), I remember my dad having a clock maker look at it and telling my dad the clock would never work properly due to age, condition and it being wood works. Well, I wish my dad lived long enough to see John prove him wrong. John worked with me to identify someone to repair the cabinet and correct the reverse painting on the glass, along with some stenciling. John performed the mechanical work. I have to say, the final product knocked me off my feet. The clock looks and runs perfectly!...It truly looks like something that belongs in a museum. I've also had John work on a clock that I bought on eBay (big mistake on my part, buying on eBay) and I bought a restored school house clock from him.
