Clo Coffee is absolutely amazing. Glad they were able to open up a new location in JC after Edison. Cafe is super aesthetic. Great place to visit to get some work done, people watch or just enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Really enjoyed the vanilla lattes!
One of my favorite recently discovered coffee spots. "Kind people are my kind of people." Just as it says up the cup this place makes sure they take care of the customer had my coffee hand delivered to me when I was sitting down. Coffee is on point didn't get to try any of the baked goods, but they looked awesome.
We stopped in here on a walk around the neighborhood. It's a tiny coffee shop in a luxury apartment building lobby. We were the only customers on a Saturday around 1:30pm. My boyfriend ordered a small iced coffee. They use an intensive brewing method with filtration into a glass. I am not a coffee drinker so I don't know much about the technology, but it looked fancy. It took a few minutes for the coffee to brew but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy it. They have a very small menu, but also sell tea, water, and t-shirts. They have a small seating area with a few leather chairs by the lobby door. The barista forgot to return my boyfriend's credit card, but she chased after us down the block to make sure he got it back, which was nice of her.
I think there is something really special about this seemingly ordinary coffee shop. Hear me out! I've been to this location as well as their Edison location a few times and I've never been met a barista that wasn't kind, helpful and patient. I say patient because they have a pretty spectacular coffee menu, so even for someone like me that usually orders one black coffee, you need a. few minutes. They make suggestions, ask questions to get an idea of your preference and make sure you are getting a coffee that is perfect for you. I've had their CLO latte both hot and iced and it is loaded with flavor (and caffeine). No... seriously... I think it has matcha and a double shot of espresso. You can also get it flavored (I've had coconut) and it is rightly nicknamed "crack" by the team. If you are not afraid of a wake up jolt, get it! It's delicious. All of their coffees are one size which is very new to me, but they do it to ensure the perfect cup of coffee every single time. So, I guess it's working! On my last visit, I couldn't resist a sweet treat, so I tried the lemon poppy seed donut. The barista explained it's vegan and gluten free and more like a cake than donut. It was delicious! I actually loved the cakiness of it. CLO is located in the ground floor of a really beautiful complex and they made the space a place to hang out and relax, get some work done, grab and go, literally whatever. They even have little cubbies if you need a quiet place for an interview or phone call but I do believe you need to reserve those. If you love coffee, I'd make sure to make a trip here. You'll find good drinks and kind faces.
First visited CLO in January to show support for Filipino-owned businesses and I have to say they did an amazing job here. The decor is modern and sleek and the coffee was definitely above average. They have tons of flavors for their lattes when I asked what they had available. I went for the honey lavender that they recommended and it was delicious! While waiting for the coffees to get done though, we got to chat with the staff. Adrian was the barista that day and was quite personable along with the other staff. During our conversation, I was glad to have been enlightened as to how the name of the shop came about. CLO, apparently has two meanings kinda. It was initially thought to be named "Coffee Lovers Only" but being that it sounded a bit exclusive they opted to just use CLO instead; derived from the name of Ralph's (owner) daughter, Chloe. Pretty neat huh? Anyway, place was cool, staff was cool. They know their stuff and they know when to chat and when to let you indulge yourself and enjoy that freshly made coffee. Bonus and a HUGE plus for me is their motto about just Being Kind. Seriously that is the answer and solution to all the chaos in this world and a saying i TRY to live by! Glad i stumbled upon a shop that has the same belief as me! And even better that they have great coffee to go along with it!
I passed by here on my way to the Municipal Court and we ordered the flat white and cappuccino - both 8 oz., and I enjoyed both! Their espresso is very good and the taste was strong and delectable. I have to pass by again sometime this week or next - so expect to see me there again! There hasn't been a crowd the last two times I went which is good for now. The space is pretty and chill. The baristas are very kind. I am docking off two stars because the barista's friend or dunno who the person was didn't have a mask on during our whole stay there.. disappointing. So I suggest to grab your orders to go.
Love this new coffee shop! Honesty, some of the nicest & most personable baristas/employees ever! I've tried both the iced & hot latte; super high quality coffee & honesty tastes amazing. As of right now they've only got one size for their drinks but I honestly don't have an issue with that. They've also got a rewards system which I really like. Can't wait to keep supporting this local JC business!
This coffee shop is a great addition to the area. It's cozy and trendy. They have dope music playing in the background and the furniture is inviting. I've gone on my afternoon coffee breaks and I have not seen it packed however I do wish the place was bigger ... you know covid, 6ft and all that. I've only had cappuccinos so far which were made really well and the coffee is tasty. I'm interested in a pour over so I will try that next. They do have pastries as well. The coffee shop is always clean and the staff is friendly. It's in the cut attached to an apartment building so it's easy to miss. If you love coffee then try this place.
Wonderful and stylish coffee shop in JSQ! The cashier was really welcoming and nice upon entering. I came in to pick up the special edition green "Be Kind" cap I purchased from their website and it's so cute! It was $40 but I love the color and their message of spreading kindness. They have other merch to choose from too. I decided to order a cappuccino with cinnamon and no sugar and it was high quality and tasty. The only thing I'd say is the cup size is pretty small. I definitely want to try the matcha next time I visit. When I used the tablet to pay I added myself to a rewards system which is an awesome touch! Go check them out people!
This is like a hidden gem in the area, hiding in the quiet side streets away from all the hustle and bustle of the area. Inside design is modern and feels spacious even for a small space. Comfortable seating and overall a very relaxing vibe. Barista was very nice and friendly. She knew her stuff and had plenty of recommendations. I'm not a big coffee person and only recently got into coffee. So I got an iced coffee with oat milk which was pretty good. Will definitely come back to try other items.
Cool new coffee shop in under serviced part of town. The furniture and fit out is high end, roomy and comfortable. Service was pretty good. The star was the product though - perfect lattes. Fresh full flavor beans, milk texture, steaming technique, and temperature were perfect and latte art was solid. Top 3 coffee product in Jersey City (up there with Maggie's Farm Espresso and Dames). Pro tip for parents: their tiny espresso cups are the perfect size for toddlers to have a hot chocolate with Mom or Dad!
CLO is doing it right when it comes to specialty coffee. The first thing you notice coming in is the hospitality is on-point. Baristas are down to earth, and eager to help navigate you through the menu. You can tell that the folks behind bar are passionate about the craft and really want you to enjoy the full experience. The design/ aesthetic also gets an A+, sleek, clean lines, but also very comfortable to sit and enjoy your drink. Everything about the shop makes sense and works together seamlessly. Its hard to find places like CLO where you can pick up excellent coffee+hospitality and feel great the rest of your day. A must-add to any top cafe list!

Clo Coffee in Jersey City is a must-try! I ordered their Iced Maple Syrup Latte, and it was amazing. The shop has a cool, relaxed vibe, and the baristas know their stuff. The latte was perfectly balanced - the maple syrup added a delicious sweetness without overpowering the coffee. It was smooth, refreshing, and the perfect pick-me-up. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you're in Jersey City, definitely check out Clo Coffee and try this latte! read more

My wife and I went there for the first time today, and ordered cold brew and flat white. It was smooth and well-balanced. The greatest thing here is the owner's customer service. We had a great conversation, and he is very proud of his business so you can trust CLO's quality. It was a great experience and we will definitely visit again even though we live in Hoboken! read more

Place is empty and just takes too long. Also overpriced...9 bucks for a protein latte in an 8oz cup is crazy. Wasn't even that good and they should really post the pricing for what they sell. read more

Visiting from Seattle, WA -- Very impressed by owner's delicate process and knowledge of coffee making. You can tell the barista's there put a lot of work and energy to make sure each cup is served with perfection. A nice pit stop to get quality coffee before adventuring into NYC.. Highly recommend stopping by. Thanks Ralph and CLO! read more

This space is very pretty and very cozy to work. I got vanilla mocha matcha latte iced as they suggested this. It was nice except that it was extremely sweet. I did not ask for sugar but it was added. I wish they hadn't added that much sugar. But the person was very nice, he told me about their special lattes and suggested this which was nice. read more
