Drove 4 hours to pick up a 4 runner that was supposed to run great with no issues except it needed…read morenew tires. Me being a trusting person took his word about the deal and the vehicle condition.......When I got there, the first thing I noticed was a huge crack in the windshield all the way across it. I took it for a test drive and it ran terrible, stumbling and bucking back and forth, could not even get it up to 50 mph. I drove it about a mile and was able to get it back to the TNT Automotive parking lot. Went back inside and told him that that thing runs like crap. He told me his mechanic that had many years of experience had checked it out, fixed a few things and took it for test drive and it ran great... So the owner wanted to see for himself and drove it with me in the passenger side. The same thing happened when he drove it as well. We got back to the dealership and tried to come up with a solution as to what to do next. I said I did not want it and he said since I had already paid for it, there was nothing he could do.... Then he offered to give me a $600 refund in order to have a mechanic fix whatever the problem was with it. I still did not want to take it and he said that was all he could do. So I told him if he refunded me $500, then I would take it. Yes, I did not even take him up on the $600 refund, I only asked for $500 back. He promised me he would send $500 back via Zelle from his bank. So I rented a uhaul trailer and hauled it back 4 hours back home. The next day, I let him know that I had requested the $500 refund through Zelle, and he said "Alrighty Sir"....That was the last time I've heard from him!!! After numerous messages to him over the next 2 weeks, he still did not get back to me. BUYER'S BEWARE Update - It has been Almost 2 months since I was promised a $500 refund from TNT Automotive L.L.C. and the owner has not send the money and won't answer my messages. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!

No new transmission was required. Thank goodness there are still honest people around who are not selling a job just because of the $$$ they will make. I stopped on the exit to check the oil levels and hopefully add a little oil in order to get back on the road, but the engine was making a loud ticking noise. There was smoke coming from the engine bay and oil sprayed all the way up the back window of the car. That's when I decided that it was best to leave it there and have it towed to the nearest automotive shop. Thankfully, JT&AS was no more than 7 miles away from where I was stranded. Not only was I in the right place at the right time, but JT&AS is a shop that I'll begin going to regardless of the other shops that are closer to my home in Raleigh. The service was impeccable. Either the guys that work for the owner down right don't care or incompetent. I needed a new engine for my truck, my in law told me about this business since I had just PCS'd back to Bragg/Liberty. I thought the owner was decent and either he doesn't know what his employees are doing, specifically his daughter that works at the cash register or his son that supervises the projects upon completion. After my truck had been worked on, the truck never drove the same. Always stalled with many more issues. During time of warranty, I took the truck back and let them know what issues I had. I was told they fixed the issues but really saw no difference upon return of the vehicle. Since I knew I had just received a new engine, I took the truck to the dealership for a completely different issues thinking that would solve all the issues I was having. After a couple days and different diagnostics, I was told I needed a new engine. I told them that couldn't be when I in fact just had engine work completed. The difference this time was these guys showed me exactly where the issue was and recommended that I didn't get the job complete with them to save money. Upon return to Crumplers, the daughter who I didn't want to deal with due to previous encounter guess my issues wasn't important. Never seen someone eat a meal in your face when trying to resolve an issue. Not only did this lady have a nasty attitude from before now we got rude and customer issue isn't important. The son, called me to tell me after already spending over 8K with them I needed to spend another 700 and that would solve all my issues. I of course stated that he made no sense and what remaining issue he was referring to was connected to the engine. He of course back pedaled and then said well he wasn't there when the engine was out in he came to the project afterwards. Make a long story short these guys are clowns. Wouldn't recommend you get an oil change here. More than likely the oil wouldn't be replaced, hence untrustworthy and unreliable. Already working to ensure they are black listed from service members but I'm sure their local population will support due to convenience of location. Again, if you can, go somewhere else!
