Wouldn't let us explain that there had to be a mistake somewhere, before unpleastries were expressed we got up and left.

Pretty sure they are deliberately doing more damage to my car to get more money out of me. Took it…read more3 years ago due to coolant leak. They tell me it is the thermostat housing, replace it, charge $250. 3 months ago had a coolant leak that was much worse. coolant leaking faster than I could put it in. With my car there is a special warranty covering the water pump. They replaced it, then called me and said "your thermostat housing "fell apart", we had to replace it, it'll be $150." Wtf? Let me add that the so called replaced housing 3 years ago did NOT fix my leak, it was just a hose that needed replacing. The person who replaced the hose stated the thermostat housing appeared to be old, not a newly replaced one.

This was my second and LAST purchase from the Performance Group in Clinton, NC. My first purchase…read moreat the Ford store was AWESOME!! This time....biggest disappointment ever. First of all the sales girl, Brittney Oates was as helpful as could be and then as the deal progressed she got more and more uncooperative. First problem was they wouldn't let me test drive a car that I was fixing to spend over $12,000 on. Secondly, the Sales girl Brittney and the General Manager, Danny Holland II, both turned out to be the biggest crooks and liars I have ever seen. The agreed to fix a couple things on the car that I was purchasing, a 2016 Kia Soul+, HOWEVER it was like pulling teeth to get them to get anything done on a timely manner. They move at their own pace up there. A TURTLE WOULD HAVE BEAT THEM AT A RACE!! Thirdly the car kept acting up mechanically and the made me pay half of the repair bill for a new starter. Still not sure if they ever put it on. Another thing was a spare tire, THERE WAS NONE!! They said they had got one and put it in the car on one of the many trips to the service dept. there at the dealership. Went to clean the car out the other day because I had enough of this POS anyhow, STILL NO SPARE TIRE even after they told me there was one in there. I wanted another vehicle, DANNY HOLLAND SAID I'LL GIVE YOU THE MONEY BACK BUT NO CAR!! NOT EVEN MY TRADE BACK!! So....long story short, I only kept the car about three weeks and just traded it in at a dealership in the Raleigh area for a 2010 Cadillac SRX. Now the wife is finally happy with her vehicle again. I recently purchased a car there. The staff I dealt with were professional and easy to work with…read more My problem is with the sales manager and most likely the owners/corporate. They made a mistake on my paperwork, which cost me several thousand dollars. None of us caught it (salesman, finance or me) because they bundled the numbers into one amount. I believe this was done deliberately to keep me at the number I needed to make the purchase. In hindsight, I should have told them to pack sand and ask for my trades back (which they had already sold). All of this happened a month after I bought the car. Reading reviews of other Deacon Jones dealerships, looks like this is the norm. I even asked what they were going to do to make me feel better about the deal...even a t-shirt or keychain but was denied and told "we don't do that". I also own a Jeep I bought a from their Jeep dealership. Soon in the market for my wife a new car and will buy from another local dealer or drive somewhere else. I hate it for the local employees because they are truly helpful and caring.

They were all either out of my budget, too many miles, overpriced... CarGurus led me to DeaconJones Ford in Clinton,NC to a very reasonably priced, great mileage, loaded-options vehicle, with service and title history, accident free, smoke free, you get the idea. I picked up the phone and called to inquire. I was greeted with promptness and professionalism. They immediately answered all my questions and sent me figures within a few minutes! Luby was my contact in sales and it was like talking to a family friend. True gentleman with over 40 yrs experience. I was ready to cut another block with him on the test drive. No pressure, no games, upfront pricing. I had already shopped financing options yet ended up financing through them as well with their competitive rates. Made a scenic 2hr trip down to test drive and hopefully purchase. They had all paperwork ready to go as promised, vehicle detailed, AND a full tank of gas! Again, no games! Sent me everything I asked for beforehand, and it was exactly as described over the phone and ready to go - no pushy upsells on options, etc. General Manager Thao was awesome to work with. I forgot to call my bank beforehand and let them know I was buying a vehicle, so the only delay was on me! It was the best experience I've had buying a car, and I would recommend you start here and save yourself time and headaches. They also had several vehicles that would have worked for me- and I was looking for very specific features. Top notch experience and drove away with a smile- and I never leave reviews!

We had…read morealready heard there were "issues" with the Clinton rental location; however, it's very important to us that we shop local and support our local businesses. Because of what we heard, my husband called the day prior to pickup to make sure they were going to have the car ready for us to pull up, sign paperwork, pack up and leave. We get there only to find that we had to wait for the car to be washed and cleaned (even though we were promised it would be ready). After waiting 20 minutes for the car to get ready, we left. I was running by the gas station to fill up whenever I noticed 2 warning lights came on in the car (we were getting ready to drive over 1500 miles so you can understand why this was concerning). We turned right around and took car back. My husband was told by Andrea (who was kind and only working with what she has to work with) that the type of car we were driving "is known to do that!" We asked for another comparable vehicle but they had absolutely nothing on the lot!!!! It was 8:30am on a Thursday morning and you (a CAR RENTAL COMPANY) do not have another rental car?!?! We were so fed up and so far behind schedule at this point, we decided to put the miles on our personal vehicle (which totally defeated the entire reason why we wanted a rental in the 1st place!) The only plus to this experience is we asked them to cancel the contract and refund our money and they did. At the end of the day, I would never discourage anyone from using one of our local businesses; however, unless Enterprise Rental of Clinton revamps their entire process, inventory availability, and customer service experience, DO NOT go to this establishment.
