So my doctor sent my son and I for some lab work. He gave me a lab corp form but said "It's fine, you can go anywhere with it." This lab was the one that my insurance preferred me using. I went, and got literally yelled at by the lady behind the counter, while she huffed and puffed and typed really loudly on her computer, because the codes were different. I apologized, and even offered to call my doctor so he could tell her what the tests were so she could look them up that way. She yelled at me. AGAIN. And said no, I could not do it, she had to, and it just took time out of her day to have to deal with things like this. Hoping she was just having a terrible day, I went ahead and got the blood drawn. The acutal blood draw was thankfully not that bad. Now fast forward 6 weeks and neither mine or my sons results have been received. I looked up on their website to get a customer service number, and got someone out of Austin at their corporate headquarters. JUST WOW. I was overly polite to the lady who I unfortunately got on the phone and it was just a repeat of what happened at the center. Except this lady sat on the phone and scolded me for 20 minutes for using their company. Said "you should have gone somewhere else. It is really inconvenient for us to have to go and get in your chart and look up on the order and fax your results again. Go somewhere else next time." I begrudgingly apologized, AGAIN, for making her have to do something with her day. And this was the corporate office of this company!! Now, fast forward 3 more weeks and still no results. I called the number again, begged the lady who answered the phone to get me someone who can help me, and, she once again, refused to be bothered, so huffed and puffed and put me on hold. And at last, the heavens opened up and the SWEETEST lady got on the phone. I explained what happened, and she said she was so sorry, and said she never saw in the chart that the reports were sent, and I said I figured they weren't, and it was just a representation of my whole experience with this mess. She told me to give it 5 minutes and call the doctor, and low and behold both results were there! Finally! Now, I have been to the Tomball location, with the same situation, and there were literally no problems. I don't know how a company can get away with this, but apparently they think they can. I work in medical, and am responsible for people that come in contact with patients, and I can tell you, that is NOT the way you run a business. Especially a medical business where these results could impact someones life. Save yourself a whole lot of hassle and just go somewhere else. read more
