Had Ichabod's cleanout a corner of my property that consisted of trees both large and small, bushes…read moreboth large and small and several stumps. the crew arrived on time and set right to work. There were no wasted efforts. Each man had a specific task and got right to it. The crew leader "Mario" got with me for final instructions. If there were any doubts about something I was asked immediately for clarification. within 2 hours, trees were felled, bushes were uprooted and stumps were ground. At no extra cost, the area was rough graded, all residue was picked up and removed. We are extremely happy with the quality of work and the price we paid was reasonable. This is the second time we have used "Ichabod's and will continue to use them.

This team was above and beyond any tree service I have worked with. Elijah was very knowledgeable…read moreand thorough. He was the only one that asked where the location of our septic was while I was getting estimates. They marked the septic area off when they arrived the day of service (this has never been done with other companies we have worked with). We had numerous large trees they were cutting down and I appreciated they weren't just going to drop the trees over our septic area. They also noticed and worked around irrigation stuff we have on the side of our yard that I forgot to mention. The whole team was very efficient and detail oriented. Mario's grading work and clean up of the stump grinding was the cherry on top! Other than the straw over the seed they put down, you would never know there had been so many trees removed from our yard. I strongly recommend this company for their thorough work, timeliness, quick responses, and affordable rates!!!

After contacting Hawbaker's Tree Service for an estimate to remove several trees from my property,…read moreMr. Hawbaker came and gave the cost to remove them. The trees had limbs that were in the phone/cable tv lines and one was leaning towards the road. Two business days later he came with an employee early morning and started this project. They went by sections, trimming limbs, chipping the branches then raking the the leaves . The job was complete by early afternoon. This was done in a mulched area, and looked as good as it did before the job started. I am very pleased with the outcome of selecting this business. The cost was reasonable and professional. I highly recommend Hawbaker's Tree Service of Waynesboro! Ruby Wilhide

January 2026: This was the second time using FW Masonry so that should tell you how we feel about…read moreFrank's work. We live in a stone cottage circa 1850 that needed some re-pointing. Frank came out to provide a fair estimate and we contracted him to do the work. When it was time, he arrived as scheduled and did a wonderful job. Frank is a standup guy with loads of integrity. We'd give him the keys to our house, that's how much we trust him. His knowledge base, attention to detail, incredible customer service, and willingness to work for a fair price are what set him apart from most of today's contractors. And he's the nicest guy to boot. If you're looking for a skilled mason, we can't recommend FW Masonry more highly. Give Frank a call.

I highly recommend! I got an estimate for a closer, quick service, supposedly inexpensive company…read more My husband believes in getting at least 2 quotes. I called Straight Run on a Saturday. He answered, asked my general info about the project (old farmhouse, 30 foot on the front and back of 2 story house) and gave me their per foot costs. I called in May (I'm guessing peak season with the spring rains) and he gave me a general time frame of 3 weeks from then. He called back a few days later with a detailed estimate that was HALF of what the other place wanted. With the savings, I added gutter guards for an extra few hundred. The week he promised, he called and asked if the next day worked. The next afternoon his crew showed up and had the gutters AND downspouts (unexpected bonus!) done in an hour and half. They left 0 nails in the grass around the house. You would never even know they had been here. The new gutters look great and are sloped perfectly. Very, very, happy!

Quoted a roof replacement in January before our solar panels are installed. Owner bid the job and…read moreafter 5 other bids for the same product and warranty he was the lowest by about 10 % so we signed the contract. We were the first roof of the season and were very pleased with the crew that came. They removed two layers of shingles, and installed a quality Owen Corning system including the ridge vents and clean up work all the same day. When they left you could not even tell they were here except for a few marks where the ground was soft which no one could of avoided. They have the greatest lady on clean up that removed every last little piece of debris. Another really impressive way they do business was they did not even require any deposit! I found this very unusual on a construction project not to at least require something for the material purchase, but payment at once in full after satisfaction seems to be their forte. I have worked part of my life in machine shops, doing quality control with tolerances in the microns and also have built 4 homes myself with the exception of HVAC and masonry. I would of done this roof myself but my knees and age did not let me. Really am glad I found R E Kuba and I have already left several other friends know who to go for when they need a job done.
