My friend and I went here after she mentioned she'd done axe throwing before. I hadn't, but it was…read more something I had been wanting to try, so after a quick search this spot came up and I booked a time slot online. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and directed to our station. There was no waiting around, which I loved. I thought it would be more of a "throw whenever you want" situation, but we actually had an instructor with us the whole time, which ended up being a good thing since I was a complete beginner. Our instructor, Eian (hope I'm spelling that right), was great, funny, super helpful, very engaging, and patient. He explained everything clearly and gave tips that actually made us feel confident throwing despite our many misses haha. We played a game toward the end of our session and somehow I won which was surprising considering I had no idea what I was doing, still don't! After axe throwing, we went to the bar. It wasn't busy at the time, but it did take a bit for the bartender to acknowledge us. Once we ordered, we walked around to check the place out while we waited for our food. It's definitely more than just axe throwing. There are pool tables, an area with board games, cornhole, darts. It was overall just a fun, social vibe. As it got busier, our food came out but we didn't get plates at first. Then plates came, but no utensils. We waited a while and asked the bartender if she had any, who told us to track down the server ourselves (that was [not] fun). Eventually we got everything we needed. The food is more of a shareable style, so we ordered a few items and honestly, everything was really good. Despite the small service hiccups at the bar, overall it was a fun experience and I'd definitely go back, especially for axe throwing and the atmosphere.

Went well for my sons bday party. Waitress was. A little slow but they seemed short staffedread more

We've been here twice and had a blast both times!…read more We brought our 16 year old nephew with us both times and he really enjoyed it as well. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. He allows some practicing before you get started. He'll help you out with each item you want to throw and give you pointers. I HIGHLY recommend getting the "throw everything" package. Axes are awesome and the other items really make it fun. They have a huge variety of things to throw besides axes, so give them all a try. And some are much lighter than axes; like the stars, playing cards and skinny axes. And some are bigger! The variety is a lot of fun. What makes this place cool is the games. You have the option to throw at a bullseye target if you like. But they also have a bunch of games you can play; bomb defuser, a game similar to wheel of fortune, a battleship like game a many others. They basically use a projector in each lane hooked up to an iPad for the games. The games are then projected on to the target. The owner mentioned that he will be upgrading the software so it scores automatically; pretty slick. They also have a "rage room" where you can smash various objects. A group was in there while we had our session and when they came out, they were all smiles. This is a great spot in downtown Keene. Again, the owner is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The decor inside is really neat; a lot of rough sawn wood with some amazing historical pictures from Keene and the timber industry from back in the day.

The Axe Pit was SO fun…read more The people working were very helpful in giving pointers on form and throwing to ensure you were safe and landed some bullseyes! I also liked the projection games-- they had a good range to choose from and they projected right onto the wooden targets. The bar/lounge was awesome too! They have a bunch of local spirits and cans to choose from and the drinks we had were very good. Overall a really fun and relaxed vibe, I'll definitely be back.

We're in town for a funeral and were looking forward to spending some time with family who are home…read morefrom the military. We made a point to plan responsibly, including having designated drivers, especially since there's a bar on location. We started the evening with a beer and lobster rolls elsewhere, then arrived at your establishment around 2000 hrs. We paid $25 per person, per hour, and ordered four drinks for our group of four. About 20 minutes later, we attempted to order another round and were told we were cut off. We respect management's right to make those decisions -- no issue there. However, what didn't sit right was that the group next to us, who appeared far more impaired, was then offered "last call" by the same manager who told us the bar was closed. That inconsistency is hard to ignore. We're more than capable of paying for a full night out, but when a group of civil servants -- including military family -- comes in to unwind responsibly and is treated this way, it's disappointing. We wish your business the best, but we won't be returning. We'll also be sharing this experience with others so they can make informed decisions when visiting from out of town. Again, thank you for your service.... And your axes are junk!
