Climatemp owners don't care who they hire to work as installation techs or sales technicians. Majority employed have 0 experience working on an HVAC unit plus have no one willing to train them so you can guarantee that when they come to your house to do any type of work, they will cause more damage and just lie to you by telling you additional parts need replacing that had nothing wrong with it before they arrived to work on your equipment. They hired a sales person who had no knowledge of how the indoor / outdoor units even worked. He just went from resident to resident condemning units that had nothing wrong with it all while the owners Randy & Stan, stood by knowing about this deceptive business practices. Do not use their service unless you want to pay outrageous fees and have them out at your property for several days more than any other AC company would normally take. Also, it is not recommended to be employed with this company as they don't care one bit about their employees or their employees family members. The workplace is a constant soap opera filled with drama left and right especially among the office staff. The women in the office are so afraid of getting replaced by someone that actually has the experience to do their job so their mission for new hires is to get them to quit or have fired as soon as possible by setting up to do work in unfavorable conditions or throwing one under the bus and lying to the boss when questioned about their work status. It's sad no one can work as a team and the owners are only looking out for themselves. This past Christmas the owners required all employees to work Christmas Eve and did not provide any with a Christmas Bonus or dinner. Instead, the owners left at lunch on Christmas Eve to have their holiday family gathering plus made sure to show off their new vehicles and huge flat screen TVs that was purchased and put on display for all workers to see. In 5 days, 13 change outs were completed causing several hours of overtime to accumulate except when payday came, hours were reduced by Randy and Stan with no explanation as to why this happened. One employee was out for 3 days and Randy made sure to hold his paycheck from being direct deposited. This person has to call the labor board in order to have it released to him however Randy made sure to reduce the employees pay from $25p/hr to minimum wage $7.35 per hour without notice and on work performed a week prior. Stan admitted his dad did change the paycheck out of retaliation from calling labor board on him to release paycheck. That is illegal but they get away with doing this to all their employees whenever they want to screw them over. This same employee was treated as if he was a criminal once he arrived to the shop, office staff locked all doors and shut down the shop preventing any access inside the building. His tools, which valued well over $800 was in retrievable due to this so when he tried to get his tools back, they suddenly had no idea what happened to them and refused to help with getting them back to him. Many times when an employee quits Randy will make sure they suffer then will give away their tools to other employees he hired that don't know anything about the HVAC Business. Bullying is a constant issue, Randy thrives on drama and instigates alot of things just out of spite while his son Stan just lets it happen and will put his head down. Shady business practices are an ongoing thing and working in the office with these ladies he has hired is definitely not worth your time dealing with as you will be shocked at the depth each woman will take just to look like they know something. It's complete chaos, dirty business practices, overpriced jobs are constantly happening so I recommend a 2nd opinion if you do decide to use them. You will be surprised at what you will discover. Unprofessionalism at its absolute peak! The technician who arrived to fix my A/C completed the repair in mere minutes, without bothering to ask me about the issue or discuss the price of the "replacement." He claimed to have replaced a part, yet he showed me nothing and failed to provide an invoice, despite my explicit request. He casually assured me that the office would send it my way. The repair was performed on July 4, and to this day, I have yet to receive any invoice. I reached out to the company on July 5 to explain the situation and request the invoice, but they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. Shockingly, the cost of this so-called "repair" was a staggering $530!The repair was made on July 04, and until now, I have not seen any invoice. The worst customer service ever from any company I've ever dealt with. I had a year preventative maintenance program and they should have been inspecting my coils. They did not resulting in a burned up motor. Tried charging me thousands to fix it. Another company charged me a couple hundred dollars a few hundred To clean it and I was on my way. I tried at least a dozen attempts to contact the owner or manager for some sort of resolution and no one would ever call me back. A few months later I did finally receive a phone call only to set me up for my next preventative maintenance schedule and probably try to get me to renew. I even begged him to please call me back so that I don't feel inclined to go online and leave a negative review. No one ever called me back so here's my negative review. I had a 3 year maintenance agreement which I paid in advance and I am forfeiting the final year and the money because I can no longer deal with the rude staff and unwillingness to work scheduling and issues out. I have never dealt with such a rude office staff and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I am pushed off and told they will call me back which never happens. I am done trying because there are other choices. Called Island Air and was treated with respect and they came out that day to fix the minor issue and charged me a reasonable rate. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!! I made the mistake of using them, and they overcharged me for their services. They charged over $500 to replace a capacitor and a contactor!!! Furthermore, BEFORE they did that, they tried to convince me that my compressor was blown (On a New Unit less than 3 years old). The technician then installed two capacitors as he didn't have the right one, and then HOOKED THEM UP WRONG!!! Less than a week later, the AC acted up again, and I called T&M Heating and Air (I HIGHLY recommend them) and they discovered that because Climatemp hooked up the capacitors wrong that the units were struggling to engage and it could have ruined my unit. One final note, it took CLIMATEMP over 12 hours to respond to my initial call!!! FINALLY, I believe their really is no RANDY ENGLEBERT (the listed Owner) as he will NEVER respond to any of your concerns. In fact, the whole staff will lie and give you the runaround!!! I had Climatemp heating and cooling come out and service my heating system.The tech was very nice he did a full inspection check on my gas furnace and saw the heat exchanger had a crack in it.He explained why this was a big issue,he asked me if I have been having headaches lately.I told him yes I had been,he told me I was breathing in carbon d oxide.So we talked about installing a new system but I told him it was so close to Christmas I couldn't buy one now.Well he got me financed on site and a low Apr. Our unit went out so We called climate temp to come check it out. The tech diagnosed it and told us what we needed to replace. We told him to do that. Well the techs cant do that the office staff has to order what's needed and set the schedule. That's fine but office lady Laurie was so rude and inconvenienced by us. Eventually the tech came out and replaced was was broken and ended up wiring it incorrectly and frying the inside and outside units. It took a month to get most of what was fried fixed. So no heat or air for a month and every time I called to get an update on parts I was inconveniencing Laurie. We kept being charged for everything even though it was their fault and the tech told us that. In the end we got a different company to replace the outside unit and were told that we wouldnt have had to do that if the climate temp tech didnt fry it. This company is out to scam people and Laurie in the office was the least professional person I have ever dealt with. One time I called at 8:16 am to schedule a time for the tech to come out with the new parts. Once she knew it was me she told me she had been at work for 16 minutes and couldn't handle me yet and put me on hold for 3 minutes before she scheduled our appointment. read more

Absolutely horrible!!!! The worst customer service ever!!! They did not install my new air conditioner properly. They did come out to repair the 2 major problems that we had. However, one problem caused a major leak in our condo and caused the condo below us to flood. We rent our condo out during the summer. Used them for 4 yrs in Orange Beasch condo. They installed the unit and carried it under service. No one else ever touched it. In Aug they said I had a coils issue. $1500 to repair a 4 yr old unit. Came back to condo and unit was running loud. $359 later said it was a heat strip under warranty. Nope it wasn't and they wanted additional bucks to fix the noise Called another company, it wasn't a heat strip, but in the original repair they had left off the muffler which caused the line to vibrate and the noise. That repair was $1200 to fix the mess they left I now have over $3000 in a $5500, 4 yr unit. They wouldn't stard behind their work or fix their mess. Climatemp is Amazing! Randy and Stan gave me a quote on Monday 6/22 at 1:30 pm Tuesday my family and I were enjoying the new Trane system installed by their skilled technicians. The unit is so quiet I had to check to if it running. Fast, excellent workmanship, they had to re-frame the vent opening for better air flow. They laid drop cloths, cut out dry-wall and old framing. The new vent was installed and the techs vacuumed before they left. And they disposed of the old unit. Thank you Climatemp! read more

Four years ago, Climatemp installed a Carrier Infinity system. Based on the previous owners review, it was not cooling properly within a year. In December 2021, a home inspection was done and the unit was not cooling properly. Climatemp was called to do the repairs. In March, the unit was continuing to run for no apparent reason. The home warranty was contacted. They sent a HVAC tech who found the board, which is several thousand dollars, to be bad and the thermostat. Both were replaced. Now in July, the unit is not functioning properly and is leaking condensation water damaging the walls and ceiling below. The tech stated the unit was not installed properly and to contact Climatemp. Also, stated if they are a reputable company they would stand behind their work and fix the problems. Climatemp said it was working properly in December and they would charge me to do the work. It's not hot in December and home warranty will not cover improperly installed units. The new tech also said the board is bad again. Looks to me that Climatemp is making money on installing these boards. Tech talked with Carrier, this will be the 4th board to be installed. I contacted Carrier and they allow anyone who is licensed to be a Carrier dealer and I suspect they collect a fee for it. Either Carrier units are really bad or Climatemp didn't install properly or maybe both. read more

This is the worst scheduling and customer service I have ever experienced. I had a service contract (paid for in advance) but they kept canceling my appointment and rescheduling. They last time they canceled my "spring" checkup was June 30 (the 3rd time they canceled) and they said they would call me back with a new time. Never did. I called back July 2 and they could not find my name or address in their system. Once they got that resolved, they now want to reschedule my "spring" check for Aug 14! Save yourself time and money and stay away from this company. read more

Called this company to fix a simple clogged drain, I left my credit card on file under agreement of $89 diagnostic charge, they told me technician will call before repair with the amount. Technician never call and charge my credit card with $249 without my consent or approval. A simple clogged drain does not cost $249 to repair. It is high robbery!! My inlaws had a maintenance contract with this company and had a new AC unit installed within the last year. They've had nothing but trouble with it including it leaking into the bedroom. In February it stopped working. Then just last Saturday June 30 it quit again. A tech came out and after finally figuring out which unit he was supposed to be working on said it was a duct problem and he was not able to fix it. Of course no one came on Sunday, or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday (the 4th) or Thursday even though he had identified the problem. My MIL called every day several times, never talking to the same person, and was told everyday that they were coming that day. So someone had to stay home. Then when the day was over and they hadn't come they said they'd come the next day. Not until my FIL went to the office and raised a stink did they come to fix it. It was hot. We had 10 people in the house. We couldn't cook and had to eat out. My inlaws were in the process of moving out of the house and made the mistake of telling Climatemp so. I believe Climatemp knew that there was no need to keep up their end of the deal since once my inlaws moved out there would be no more contract so they just kept putting them off. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They caused so much distress during an already stressful week while we were attempting to have a last family week on the lagoon. I called these people to come out to fix my heat. I tried to replace the thermostat just to upgrade and I could not get it to work properly. There was nothing wrong with my unit. They tried to say my unit was done for and tried to sell me a new one for $5200 for a 3 1/2 ton unit which is super expensive. He replaced a part that was not even bad. I was charged $314 and nothing was fixed at all. I called Byrd air conditioning and had him come out the next day because climatemp would not return my calls the following morning. Mr. Byrd came out and diagnosed that the thermostat I had bought was bad. He replaced it with a new one and had my unit to 100% for less than half then climatemp had charged me.it has been a week and I have tried to get a hold of them to see if they would refund at least some of my money since they did not even fix my problem. We paid $4268 to have brand new unit installed on June 8th. Today is July 8th and we've had to have Climatemp come out twice because I'm literally sweating in my house. My home was 81 degrees after brand new unit installed. They are telling us that we need more insulation in our attic and it should work better! Our old unit worked this good! So we basically just paid over $4000 for nothing. Also , we added a bigger ton unit and it's still not cooling our house any better than our 13 year old unit. Manager came out to our house personally to tell us that he suggests more insulation and that's all that's wrong. Buyer beware ! They do not instal properly!
