This is a hvac company that repairs air conditioners. But the guy tells me he doesn't offer hvac service to put a capacitor that takes 5m on my air conditioning unit. I know they put capacitors on air conditioning units before. Cause that is big part of repairing them. He doesn't want to do it cause his only thought like most of these companies is to make big money instead of just being nice and taking 5m to put this capacitor on the ac unit. Why lie and say you don't do it? It just goes to show if they can't make big money you wont get service from them even though my old mom is sitting in a hot house right now and its not good for her health. I had recently purchased a Nest, and considering myself to be somewhat "handy", I decided to take on the project of upgrading my old Honeywell thermostat myself. Shut off the breaker to AC unit and began taking apart the old thermostat. Unmounted the wires from the old contacts, straightened each wire and ensured they didn't come in contact with each other. Everything was going smoothly and it was finally time to mount the Nest's face. All I got were notifications that the red wire had no power. After about 2 hours of attempting to troubleshoot the issue myself. I finally threw in the towel. I sent out a quote request to Climate Solutions that night. When I awoke the next morning, a reply was sitting in my notifications. Working standard hours, I assumed I would have to schedule an appointment for the weekend to give the tech adequate time to diagnose and hopefully fix my issue. He replied that he could squeeze me in at 6:30PM. I was ecstatic. Never had I had a service cal for anything able to arrive past 4-5 pm. We set that appointment up and he arrived right on time. Kao was a very easy guy to chat with. He pinpointed exactly what I had done wrong and fixed the issue with ease. My Nest and HVAC system were up in running within 30 minutes of his arrival and he even left me with some tips on setting up and using my Nest. We weren't looking for central air as we have a small house, and have experienced the ductless A/C through our travels in Asia. Kao is the best! He's courteous, professional, and honest. I set up two appointments, one for my house and one for my parents. I had requested the ducts to be cleaned and system maintenance for the HVAC systems. Kao called to let me know his ETA, and when he looked at my parents' duct, he saw that a cleaning wasn't needed. He could have just cleaned it anyway without telling us and charged us, but he didn't. Same with my house, no duct cleaning needed, but I did have defective parts on my AC unit. My AC was diagnosed and repaired in less than 30 minutes and was done around 7PM. 5 stars for friendliness and responsiveness. It was a pleasure doing business with Kao. The A/C in our 7 year old El Dorado Hills home stopped cooling. Kao came out and discovered there wasn't enough refrigerant in the system. He added refrigerant to get us going but suspected a leak in the system. He ran some tests and confirmed the leak. He fixed the leak and everything is fine now. All price quotes were up front and there were no surprises. The A/C stopped cooling a year ago. A guy from a different company came out and added lots of refrigerant, but he didn't check for leaks. If he had, the core problem would have been discovered and solved then. Kao wore a mask, as did his helper on his return visit.
