Looking for a place to get a late-night drink, dessert, or light bite? Look no more...here it is!…read more Awesome find! Upfront, the St. Johns Provision Lounge should not be confused with the St. Johns Provision Co., which is a restaurant. They are in separate places within the Doubletree hotel: https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/jaxjrdt-doubletree-jacksonville-riverfront/dining/ I went with a group of ladies on the River Taxi Sunset & City Lights tour (and no, that is not affiliated with this place). When we were done everyone wanted something...a drink, a dessert, a cup of coffee, a light bite, whatever. But there isn't much in this area...so we wandered into the Doubletree Hotel to ask what was around and VIOLA...we stumbled upon this place located in the lobby! This is a bar with some larger high-top tables. The menu is limited, as it normally is for a bar, but suitable for a late-night "anything". Our waiter, Hunter, was a one-man show and quite accommodating. Upfront Hunter informed us of what they were out of since it was so late...we understood and took what we could get! We were happy just to find a place to sit, relax, get something wet (a drink of some sort), and enjoy social time with friends. The bar started to fill up with others "looking" for something open and what a great crowd it turned out to be. No one knew each other but we laughed, talked, exchanged "where-froms", etc. What fun! It is nice to know this place exists! The vibe is pretty chill and groovy! I plan to go back during the day when they have more available on the menu. I'm just so happy I now know of this place. Woot! Hunter...Thank you for just being you! Note: There is a paid parking lot beside the hotel.

Because this place was so close to where I was visiting and looked cool AND was rated highly on here, I was on my way. Right away I was greeted and seated by a hostess named Rosy (she was seriously fun and amazing the whole time). The layout and vibe of the place is so awesome. The DJ played good music, the crowd was chill, and best of all this place serves wine and beer (and food). However, this place gets 5 stars for the customer service. I ordered a brand/flavor I smoke at home on the regular so when I got my hookah, I was certain it didn't taste like what ordered. I let Rosy know and the owner came out to try it. Rosy agreed it didn't taste like gum mint and the owner graciously changed it out. From my experience at hookah bars, flavors can come out differently if the head isn't cleaned well, but the owner insisted they all are. He even brought out the box of shisha so I could see what they're using and yes, it was the exact one I have. After changing it out, it still wasn't right. He came back to check on me and I was honest in that it still didn't taste like gum mint, but I told him it was fine. He offered to swap it out yet again, but at this point I wasn't trying to be difficult. His whole staff and himself had been so nice and I didn't want to be "that customer." The next night I came back with my brother and the owner along with another waitress from the previous night remembered me and once again received excellent service. I have to add that prices are very reasonable for both hookah (if you like Al Fahkar) and drinks, but it's such an awesome place that the bill WILL add up. I can see why this place has such good reviews and I will be back when I visit again.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a hookah lounge, and that says a lot for someone who doesn't smoke! The food here caught me by surprise in the best way possible! The lowest scoring menu item to us was still a 5.5 which is solid. I would highly recommend coming here, especially with friends. They have good music playing and service for us was a 10 out of 10. I was helped by Brodie and Korey and when I tell you guys they took such good care of us I mean it! Brodie was our bartender, he took the time to perfect each drink & always made sure we were topped off with refills! Korey took care of absolutely everything we could have asked for!
