Wow!!! A FULL SERVICE gas station! Unbelievable now-a-days!! The attendant was polite, asked which…read moreblend of gas we wanted, and commenced to do what the station advertises - full service. While the car was being filled he washed and dried the front and rear windshields. He then checked the oil; he showed us the dip stick, said it was at a safe level (didn't try and sell us an un-needed quart of oil that would over fill crank case causing more problems) and said the oil looked clean. I knew he was truthful because I had just had the oil changed about 2 weeks ago before we began our journey from Ohio to St. John, NB, Canada. This service station is easy to drive to with easy on and off of the New York Through Way at the Utica North/Downtown exit. I highly recommend this service station if you want FULL SERVICE or want to relive a nostolgic part of America's traveling past.

We loaded up with snacks and drinks for a roadtrip back to the city and everything was as you would expect. Not only were the cashiers super friendly but one guy working the coffee machines let me have my coffee for free because "the red light is on, the coffee is passed it prime" lol that still tickles me thinking back on it. And to top it off, the coffee was fine! Would definitely come back next time we're in Utica.

I am so impressed with the redo of all the service plazas making them a cool, comfortable place to rest and eat. They definitely stepped up the game by adding these new retaurants.. Chick Fil-A, Panera, Dunkin, Starbucks, Burger King and sometimes Asian and Popeyes. I am not sure that everyone realized that Chick Fil-A would be closed on Sundays. But there are still many options. There are many places to sit and relax with tables to eat and they even have a row of message chairs if you need one. The bathrooms were clean and roomy with plenty of stalls. I do not usually buy gas here but there are plenty of pumps to help move the cars along They now have charging stations which is really a plus. These new rest stops are a magnificent improvement of what we used to have along the Thruway. I am glad that their finally complete - big and bright. There are some stores inside and many times we have been able to purchase fresh fruit the farm stand outside. KUDOs to the team at Iroquois Travel Plaza.

I had not been to this store in a few years, so it has been remodeled to be more of a cafe and gas station. In after waiting for a minute I walked over to where I saw the two ladies standing (who names are Pam and Carpe). O had to address them because one was making sandwiches and Pam was looking at papers which was right next to the food and drinking a juice. I finally said Good morning and then Pam said yes, I than asked her where are the prices and menu for the smoothies? She pointed over to the side of the counter. I then reviewed it and said let me get a tea. I look up there were people standing in line which no one said anything to them. Carpe then said Pan can you get them as she was putting food on the shelf. Pam then walk up to the register never acknowledging the fact that they had been waiting in line with no acknowledgment or no apology. I believe it must have been renovated within the past couple years as it does appear up to date. It is one of the smaller ones and has fewer total businesses inside. Gas prices are what you'd expect at a rest stop/travel plaza. Granted gas prices are awful everywhere now. Bathrooms were clean enough with minimal complaints about it. Food/drink wise you have the Applegreen store or Dunkin so limited options. The Dunkin was very well decorated for a Halloween which was a nice festive touch. Overall it worked for a bathroom break. Some of the other plazas have more food/drink options though.
