    Can't believe we left our bike with them... Will be lucky if we ever see it again!

    We had used Cliff's for tires and brakes previously and our experience was fine, so when my boyfriend layed his bike down, we chose Cliff's for repair with our insurance company. The clutch handle broke, and there was some body damage, and a few other things to be fixed due to the accident... We paid the deductible immediately, and even offered to front the money for the parts so there wasn't a delay on repairs and they said the $1,000 we had already paid was plenty... It has now been OVER a MONTH and the bike is still there "waiting on parts" Because they had to wait for the insurance company to approve the amount... Grrrrrrr. I can't help but feel like they are milking the insurance on storage fees while it sits. Worse yet... They are RUDE. Thousands of dollars from us, and they treat us like crap. My boyfriend, being a submariner, had given both the insurance company and the shop express permission to discuss all things in this matter with me... But I stopped in yesterday to check on the bike and not only did they at first refuse to talk to me about the status of the bike because "I am his girlfriend, not his wife, so they're not required to tell me anything", but he lied and said he had already spoken with my boyfriend the day prior when, he claimed, he stopped in, and nothing had changed - this would have been impossible since he was on duty for 36 straight hours and had not left the base, and the last time he'd spoken with the shop had been 4 days prior and all I was asking for was an update since the ordeal has left us with just one vehicle. They have been rude, difficult, and impossible to get a hold of... and it apparently takes them WEEKS to get parts for a common bike ('09 Hyabusa). We will NOT be back once we've picked up the bike... If they didn't already have it disassembled in their shop, we wouldn't even let them finish repairs. Will not come back to buy a bike, for repairs or maintenance, and certainly will not refer them business after the way we have been treated.

    Turns out it was a defective tire and cliffs figured it out so my initial assumption was wrong.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was ignored and had to wait in line for 20 minutes. They did work on my truck and 2 days later my check engine light was back on. The second time, they claimed I had "rodent activity" and my warranty wouldn't cover it. I took my vehicle to a different Toyota dealership, and they stated there was no rodent activity. Heartland Toyota will try to get you to pay for work not performed and work that doesn't need to be performed. They even sent me a video and photo of my "damaged" hoses. I'm convinced they were from another vehicle. I have the text messages, paperwork and photos as proof. I reached out to the Heartland GM and Quality Assurance advisor and neither returned my email. Please steer clear and go to another mechanic!
