I used to love cliffs. Now they are not the same. They will send you out on a bike that is totally unsafe to ride and try to blame it on you. I am fortunate that I didn't lose my husband to their negligence but we won't be coming back. And if you try and bring it up they try to deny that there is any problem several times before even bothering to look at it and find out this should never have been on the road. read more

Worst business practices from a motorcycle dealer I've received in my 20 years of riding. I took my brand new M109 here to have an aftermarket exhaust installed after calling prior to. I was told it would take an hr or no more than an hr and a half to install. Well I arrive and the total bill was over $375.00 and 3 plus hrs of labor. DO NOT go here as you will be overcharged. I offered to meet them half way between the quoted price and their price but they would not do so. The manager stated he would rather uninstall my exhaust based off of principal. What a slap in the face. I said fine when can I pick it back up and was told they are really busy and don't know when it will be ready. This is how military members are treated at this so called dealer. Save yourself the hassle and go to another dealer! read more

We had used Cliff's for tires and brakes previously and our experience was fine, so when my boyfriend layed his bike down, we chose Cliff's for repair with our insurance company. The clutch handle broke, and there was some body damage, and a few other things to be fixed due to the accident... We paid the deductible immediately, and even offered to front the money for the parts so there wasn't a delay on repairs and they said the $1,000 we had already paid was plenty... It has now been OVER a MONTH and the bike is still there "waiting on parts" Because they had to wait for the insurance company to approve the amount... Grrrrrrr. I can't help but feel like they are milking the insurance on storage fees while it sits. Worse yet... They are RUDE. Thousands of dollars from us, and they treat us like crap. My boyfriend, being a submariner, had given both the insurance company and the shop express permission to discuss all things in this matter with me... But I stopped in yesterday to check on the bike and not only did they at first refuse to talk to me about the status of the bike because "I am his girlfriend, not his wife, so they're not required to tell me anything", but he lied and said he had already spoken with my boyfriend the day prior when, he claimed, he stopped in, and nothing had changed - this would have been impossible since he was on duty for 36 straight hours and had not left the base, and the last time he'd spoken with the shop had been 4 days prior and all I was asking for was an update since the ordeal has left us with just one vehicle. They have been rude, difficult, and impossible to get a hold of... and it apparently takes them WEEKS to get parts for a common bike ('09 Hyabusa). We will NOT be back once we've picked up the bike... If they didn't already have it disassembled in their shop, we wouldn't even let them finish repairs. Will not come back to buy a bike, for repairs or maintenance, and certainly will not refer them business after the way we have been treated. read more

I was first in Cliffs two weeks ago to look at a Polaris Slingshot. They had two SL's from last year and I spoke with the sales person, I believe his name is Bill and he committed to email me the financials etc. I didn't receive anything. Last weekend, I went onto their website to schedule a test drive. Again, I didn't hear anything. Today, a Saturday, when I arrived for the scheduled test drive, I found out that the one that I had asked to test drive had been sold. I checked the website and it is still listed as for sale. No communication. Rick helped me and he was clearly passionate about motorcycles. I'm liked him and he made an effort. I did the test drive with him and noticed that the car had over 1000 miles on it. In my mind, this was demo model and I had them work out the financials. The manager was apparently sharpening his pencil because of the screw up.....The numbers that came back were the standard retail with no mention of the $4,500 rebate shown on their website or the mileage on the car. At no time did the manager even bother to come and introduce himself or discuss the situation. Bill, the original sales guy looked at me when Rick told him what was going on and ignored me from then on. The whole screw up, high mileage and lack of communication means I've decided to pass. I had this dealer install a big bore kit that I have them and other parts for a Suzuki DRZ400DS. They did a good job (around 7 years ago). Now I am a KTM owner and I get parts and tires and they also did pretty well. Any 1 stars you read here are what I would call bad data. They are not rude unless you are trying to maybe take advantage of them or something...? The inventory is a bit thin yet during this bike shortage I am not sure that is a huge deal. #CliffsCycleCenter in Bremerton do not care for their customers or for diversity. I went into the store with cash in hand. I was profiled. I nearly had to beg for help and when I finally did get help, the owner's wife (Michelle) refused to let me test ride the bike. I had the full purchase price in cash and have had a valid endorsement for two decades. This is unacceptable conduct. The sky is blue outside and she cited weather concerns. The service department declined to provide repair services on my bike because, apparently, they ran my bike's VIN and were given the impression that my bike was stolen from Venezuela. I have all of the necessary documentation to show that the bike is from a dealership here in WA, not South America, but that's not sufficient, I guess. That's not the problem, though, really - the problem is they are RUDE. Steve, in service, is an asshole. I'm a tech - an auto diesel mechanic - and I would never treat any of my customers as poorly as he does. I found another mechanic in Gig Harbor - I suggest you find another one, too, and skip this place. read more

Customer return policy is awful!!!! I bought pants on clearance, took them home and they didn't fit over my boots. Returned the next day at opening and they said they couldn't take them as a return. This is a place I've bought a motorcycle from and spent large amounts of money with. Can't say I will ever return in the future because of their ridiculous policy!!! Terrible! UPDATE #2: I bought a Kawasaki Z900RS from these folks just the other day and had a fantastic experience (Bryan and Rick). They beat the best price I could find and the customer service was beyond reproach. Even the bike walkthrough was fantastic - I learned some new things, despite being a lifetime rider who wrenches his own bikes. For anyone counting, that makes three 5 star experiences at this bike shop in a period of about 6 months. These guys made me feel like they cared about getting me into the best bike for me. They listened well and did not push. Thanks again! UPDATE: Once again, customer service above and beyond! I was going to get a Bell Star MIPS helmet from Revzilla, but my wife checked here first. Kelly pulled out all the stops and beat the deal I could get online by a lot! Also, she took the time to do a proper sizing and really provided me amazing customer service! TLDR: Cliff's Service Dept passed up a great opportunity to fleece me and went above and beyond to take care of me. Best in the business. Thanks guys! My 2018 KLX 250 started leaking oil after I got it home from Noble Rush in Auburn (Cliff's was out of stock and couldn't get another because it was the gap between production cycles). I called Cliff's and told them about it and they said to bring it in for a diagnostic - they warned me there would be a $99 diagnostic if it wasn't covered under warranty. The day before I brought it in, I went down on a MSF course and bent up my clutch lever. I wasn't happy with how it felt when I fixed it so I asked them to replace it when I brought it in. Now, taking a bike down and then asking for warranty work is sketchy at best, so I was looking at the diagnostic fee, parts, and labor for a potential cost in the $150-$250 range. As I feared, warranty work was gonna be a big ask after the crash, but they said they would try to keep costs down on their side. They got me out of there for the cost of parts and $19 bucks for labor (I had guessed right about the source of the oil and it was an easy fix). I have had dealings with Cliff's off and on since 2006 and the friendly/helpful customer service they provide in each division of their store is the best I've experienced at any motorcycle shop across multiple states and 40 years. It truly feels like they care and I hope they never change! read more

Brought in a new tire to be mounted on a wheel. When done found it still had the original weights on it! The mech did not bother to take off old balance weights and just added 4 more 5 gram weights and balanced the wheel! How lazy. *To compound matters and increase price to more expensive I was quoted $40 to swap out carried in new tire. Charges also included $5.00 extra for "Shop supplies" = .05 worth of weights and tax = $50.00 tire change. A genuine MC Stealership. Beware. read more

Visited Cliff's for the first time to purchase a motorcycle with cash in hand. Couldn't find a salesman finally after 20 minutes one came out and proceeded to tell us I couldn't test ride the bike without buying it first (WTF). Had him work up the purchase price and it was nearly half again the MSRP and the BS discount was an insult! Terrible service, I should have known not to stray from Brothers. Will stick with Brothers no matter the wait. I will never step foot in Cliffs Cycle Center again. read more

This is why I do not support my local motorcycle shop. I work during day and am not able to make calls at work, so I sent email to Cliff's service dept with questions. No reply. Meanwhile other shops (Olympia) replied right away. I wonder how much business they loose by not embracing technology (ie-email). I should also add this - when I went to buy a Versys 300x in 2017, Cliffs "out the door price" was around $7200 (taxes, freight, fees, etc). Being a new rider here in Kitsap County I figured out really quick you only have 2 choices to buy from a dealer as far as motorcycles (Brothers Powersports or Cliff's Cycle Center) I had popped my head into Brothers Powersport and received little to no help when looking for a bike.... I was kind of discouraged by this so I did some research online for another dealer in the area and found Cliff's. I sent an email looking for a specific bike and received a quick response back from one of the salesmen named Jim informing me they only had one bike left in stock (Vulcan S). Once I got to the dealership it definitely had the Mom & Pop Motorcycle Dealership vibe which put me more at ease since being ignored at Brothers Powersport. (The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is that the inventory on all bikes were slim pickings.... But hey I'll chuck that up to COVID?!?) Jim was very straightforward and to the point with the sale so there were no games being played when it came down to the final numbers. Once I paid for the bike the service department representative gave me the run-through with all the bells whistles of the bike. I can tell this guy loved what he did and had a passion for motorcycles (I can't remember his name). Because I do not have my endorsement yet (My MSF course is at the end of the month) Brian the GM delivered the Bike to my house & he even gave me another quick run-through of the bike before he left. All in all, it was a good experience and I am looking forward to doing business with them again in the future! read more

Turns out it was a defective tire and cliffs figured it out so my initial assumption was wrong.

Staff were extremely knowledgeable and really seemed to care about getting us the product that we "needed" not what what they wanted to sell us. Very non-pressured discussions. Staff works on salary, non commission. Very mom-and-pop feeling. All employees were attentive. Local residents with local information. Our initial contact was via email and "Rick" was very responsive and informative over email. Upon our arrival to Cliff's, Rick actually seemed to be talking someone out of buying a product because he believed it wasn't the best "fit" for that customer. Rick was very competent in his information sharing with us. The next day, upon delivery of our purchase, Shawn (Sean?) was very thorough in his teaching, warnings and cautions about the product's functions. Shawn made sure that we felt comfortable. Two thumbs up to Cliff's and it's staff!!! I Wish more companies had local roots and ownership. read more

Unbelievable. Called ahead about a decade-old used bike with 2200 miles, specially asked if tires were original since old tires are a safety issue. Test drove the bike, liked it, and said I'd buy it at the advertised price if they took care of the tires. Their idea of taking care of it was to add them to the price of the bike. Wow! I didn't care how they solved the problem, install new tires, reduce the price and I'd do it... the excuse was the boss was gone and they couldn't authorize a change. These guys don't care about you, once they sell you the bike. They don't have a loading dock or ramp. They used a ramp that gouged up the bottom of my bike. They absolutely had no care in the world about my property. When asked if they had a better way of loading the bike, they acted as though it was a bother to them to provide good customer service. I want to like this place. They have a nice assortment of bikes for different riding styles, gear, etc. My main gripe is that they never seem to want to sell me a bike. Maybe they think i don't have money? The staff are friendly enough, not pushy with sales, they will chat about bikes with you. But they never say "hey, let's look at some numbers". I mean, i rode in, with gear, tell you i want to get a bike and I'm interested in this particular one, and they don't want to go over numbers? They had three of the bikes that in interested in, none of them have been serviced. No offer to have it done. They did take my number, but i didn't hear from them last time i was interested in a bike. I have the go ahead to buy the bike, too bad nobody is really interested in selling me one at Cliff's. read more

I bought my 2005 KTM 950 ADV used in 08 and have had Cliffs do the parts and maintenance ever since. Although I did not buy the bike from them, they treat me like I did. Their KTM mechanic has been nothing but TOP NOTCH when working on my bike. Whenever there were any issues they made em right IMMEDIATELY and there were almost always NO ISSUES! Almost 30K miles later my bike runs and handles just like it came off of the showroom floor. Their Service Manager always ensures my concerns are addressed and acted upon. His upgrade recommendations have always been truly beneficial and not just money suckin' BS. My bike is as safe as it can be and I plan to keep it for a very long time. Thanks Cliff's! read more

This business has terrible customer service. The service department overcharges customers without regard to estimates. Cliffs refuses to stand behind its service. I had a bike repaired that they attempted to charge more than twice the original amount of their estimate without any advance notice of the increase in costs. When the bike was being picked up, and after the bill had been paid, the service department was unable to get the bike to started. The bike remains at Cliffs and they refuse to correct any of the issues. Complaint was filed with the BBB. This is a second generation family business which is being ruined by the second generation of family members. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this business. It is not worth the aggravation. Bryan , the General Manager simply lacks the integrity to sustain the customer service performance established by the original management team. I needed a brake rotor for my BMW GS. Ted in Parts probably spent 2 hours on the phone talking to various parts vendors before finding two possibilities in California. (I'd asked them to try to find an aftermarket rotor instead of paying the ridiculous BMW OEM prices from the Seattle or Tacoma BMW dealers). Ted ordered both rotors and specified two-day shipping (intending to return the other rotor -- this ensure that they got the one that worked). The parts arrived the Friday before Memorial Day. Cris and the Service crew stayed past closing time on Friday night to get the bike finished and out the door so that I could ride it over the weekend. All in all, this was a very good experience. I feel like these guys went the extra mile to get my bike ready to go. read more

Great sales experience 2 years ago on a Kawa/Costco purchase of KLR650. Low price and Kitsap's lower WST. Exceptional service experience yesterday when taking bike in for major tune-up, new tires, and several special requests. Outstanding service; from keen oversight by Service Manager Ron to great guys in parts department to excellent work by experienced tech (can't recall his name but he's forgotten more than most techs will ever know!) to friendly helpful staff throughout the store as I chose to wait while job performed. Everywhere are knowledgeable friendly longtime employees who extend themselves. Very fair pricing, product competence, and fresh coffee for cold wet motorbikers. read more

Bike sat in the shop a week; no call. Go in. Waiting on parts for the chain, but they have the tire--just need to put it on. 3 days later, they call to say they have the parts for the chain but no tire (where the tire they had 3 days ago went, no one knows). Come in to get the bike with the old tire still. Ask how long until the tire comes in as I still need it done, and it seems it would normally take less than 10 days. They haven't ordered one yet because thy weren't sure what I wanted. Of course I'd already had that conversation with them twice, no one had called in the 10 days to ask for the third time, and last time I called them they said they already had one. Now I can't drive by there without hearing circus music in my head. Save yourself the time and hassle. Take your bike to Seattle or Tacoma. read more

I have been a customer at Cliff's Cycle Center for 12 years. I've bought two motorcycles from them and I've had all service done by them. Cliff's Cycle Center has been outstanding in every way. I ride an average of 16,000 miles per year in all weather, except snow, commuting 100 miles per day. Their Service department is fantastic. They not only keep my two motorcycles running beautifully, they've found potential problem areas before they went wrong several times. I trust all the mechanics completely-Dave, Brian, Tyler and Darrell (now retired.). They are totally committed to their craft. Parts department Ernie and Bob always search out the best, not most expensive, parts. Kelly in Accessories is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and is always researching her vendors' products. She went to bat for me with a vendor and got me a new pair of $350 boots when I had problems with a boot purchase. That's why I won't buy online even if cheaper. The owner, Brian, always has time for me and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the entire industry. He knows motorcycles as a rider, too. Recently Dave in Service got a manufacturer to "goodwill" me (that's free) a new radiator and fan ($1300 worth) due to our relationship. That blew my mind. I am totally loyal to Cliff's Cycle Center. No, I'm not family or personal friends. I simply regard and honor the best. They are the best. I can wholeheartedly recommend them to others. read more

I've had it. I have tryin since the. 80's to give cliffs a chance but they just get worse. The same parts guy with long hair has always been there to treat me like I don't belong and honestly he does not know much about current machines. A few understand why service is important but the majority really don't care if u r happy. I was told my bike would be done by 1pm and it was 5 pm before they got the job done. No apology and they charged me to repair what they screwed up last time. While waiting I watched the mechanic take 3 smoke breaks. Told them unacceptable and wanted one off the floor. They agreed. Never offered me a discount on next service or any accessaries! Bought my 2013 KTM 350 SXF from this dealer and was very pleased on how they treated me upon my purchase of the machine. I chose them rather than Lynnwood Motoplex due to the soul fact that they were fellow Former enlisted Marines. Later inspection of the bike when I arrived at my house, i noticed a bolt was missing under the seat. Immediately i call back and tell them i'll be in the next day for the bolt. I arrive and tell them about the bolt and they immediately start blaming me for the loss of the bolt and made it a hassle to get one, when they finally did give me the bolt, they tried giving me a guilt trip about taking it off of a show room bike and tossed the bolt to me after they had removed it. completely disrespectful. 7 months later I went in to get my rear tire changed and told them i wanted a D606, the parts gentleman took me to the back room where they keep their tires and showed me an MX31 and told me that it was the offroad version of the D606 and it was meant for hard terrain. Believing him and having faith in his word was a mistake. Upon my research later that month, i found out it was a soft terrain tire that wouldn't last longer then a week on hard surface riding. Needless to say I will be going back there 1 more time and that is for them to fix their fault and install an MX71 as i asked in the first place. They have lost me as a customer. read more

My wife and daughter and I went out to gather information about Polaris Rangers and ventured to Cliff's Cycle Center. Rick was the salesman who helped us out and I very much appreciated his no pressure conversational style. We ended up dealing directly with the manager (Brian?) with the purchase and he was straightforward and a pleasure to work with. In the end they delivered our Polaris to the ferry terminal and even spent some time answering questions about future maintenance and things to watch out for in the future. Whatever you do, do not buy here and make sure you check and numerical figures these used car salesmen give you. These guys mislead me, and used a shady financing scheme to hide the true cost of their product. When I complained, they said "you should have read the contract" So buy at your own risk, but I would go somewhere for a purchase that you can trust. I'm currently in the process of a lawsuit, if this has happened to anyone else, let me know, and we can all sue together to make sure these used car salesman go out of business or change the practices of robbing people. Bought 2 bikes from cliffs, one we took home the other one we left in their care for accessory add ons. I wanted the bike lowered and have heated grips put on the bike. 5 days later they call and say the parts have arrived, bring the bike down. Explained to them that they already had the bike since the day of the sale. A few hours later they called again to ask me to bring my bike down. Again explained that they already had the bike in their position for the past 5 days. They said the bike would be done by the end of the day. Great finally I get to get my bike. I roll up there at 5:00 and low and behold they have barely started on my bike. They management to screw up the grips on my bike by adding grips that were much too short and were not through with the other work on my bike . I asked that they find the correct grips to fit the bike and fix it. Ok sure no problem they said. I explained to them that they also have to lower the forks since they lowered the bike, which they completely forgot about. Next day (day 6) show up at 4:45 to pick my bike up and the bike is still not ready because the battery won't work and is dead. The service guy had the balls to tell me "good thing we found out now so you weren't stuck out on some dirt road somewhere" uh well they did have my bike for a freakin week and could have tested the battery sooner and had the problem fixed. Normally I work on my own bikes but thought it might be nice to have someone else do it for a change since I have been so busy with work. Big, HUGE mistake that was. I will never bring a bike to them for any reason. Oh yeah and they ordered the wrong tank bang to boot. Extremely incompetent people up there at Cliffs. Still don't have my bike. Let's hope I can pick my bike up on day 7. Update. They they finally finished my bike. I noticed when riding the bike that something felt off, so I checked the tires and they were low. Extremely low. 9 in the front and 18 in the rear. The front tire is supposed to be around 21 and the back tire around 28. Wow glad they checked all those boxes on the checklist. How about next time actually check the bike. Oh and the brake light does not come on when I use the foot brake only the hand brake. So now I have to go through the entire bike to check all the bolts, blinkers, horn, brakes etc to make use the darn thing is safe enough for me to ride. I am very disappointed in Cliffs cycle center. They have lost my business forever and I will not be giving any recommendations. read more
