Is local Billings Landlord JD Kober a slumlord? Looks like…read moreit! Unsafe conditions on property... When people rent a house they hope that the landlord will respect their need for safety. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Some landlords do not make it a priority to ensure the safety of their tenants. This type of behavior should be announced to the community. It gives people doing some due diligence the chance to find the answers that they are seeking. The general public deserves to have access to information about their soon-to-be landlord. I have found one such situation that I would like to address today. It should be expected that a landlord will not leave extremely dangerous materials laying about unattended, especially where children can access them. Most people try to give their landlord the chance to correct the problem. They would simply remind them to clean up after themselves. This is, of course, what my wife and I did when our landlord JD Kober left a mess. We discovered that he left many boards laying around our property unattended, after he worked on a fence. The boards had rusty nails sticking out, so we asked him to clean them up as soon as possible. Most landlords would only need it mentioned once before they got their rusty nails taken care of, but it took JD Kober more. We were extremely unhappy with the situation. He messaged us, "Please ask your little guys to ignore those until I can get there." I have children that are 3 years old, 8 years old, and 12 years old. This went on for a long time considering how dangerous the situation was. We kept our kids away from the boards and out of the yard all-together because of it. I would have cleaned them up myself if the landlord would have told us how long it was going to take. I did not want to put myself at risk because of his carelessness, so I decided not too. Weeks and weeks later those boards were still sitting right there waiting to be taken away. The mess that was left in May took until July to be cleaned up. No future tenant should be forced to accept such behavior without fair warning first. He also harassingly called us after 9pm over and over again even after being told to stop.

I'm gonna be flat out honest with this place the buildings are disgusting there pigeon crap…read moreeverywhere dead birds constantly just laying around they tell you they start rant off at 1,450 but after you sign everything and move in they hit you with a 1800 payment then once your lease is up you'd think the price jump won't be that bad 1 year lease was 1800 month to month 3200$ 6 months 2600 and that's just the rent not utilities or amenities added ontop of it the only reason I still live here is the living soon billings is messed up if I were you I'd just find a house to rent nice owners smarter too maybe took these people 2 months to understand that a co-signer wasn't trying to get an apar there but to co-sign for a resident out of all the apartments I've been too and have heard from others these are probably the fakest nice apartments in this town don't move here unless they change everything about the place

They now put flooring in the living rooms above the first floor instead of carpeting so it is even worse! These apartments are over 20 years old except for the new ones that were built last year and it shows. People drive too fast all the time and park in spaces that aren't theirs.

My move out became complicated when I paid for cleaners and they did not clean to the apartment standards. Aly from the leasing office did a fantastic job of communicating this with me and allowed the cleaning company to attempt to remedy the issue. Unfortunately, this wasn't done, so Aly reached back out to me and let me know that they were going to finish the clean and help me send an invoice to the company in order to save me money and recover as much of my deposit as possible.

I love my home here. The staff is so friendly and helpful and fun i might add that they make it…read morehomey.. The amenities are over the top too. So much to do and so many things going on all the time. I love animals and it is such a nice comfy place for them. Spacious rooms and maintained so well. Just a beautiful place. I really feel bad for the owners because this management company has one in particular woman named Robin who is rude, unprofessional and makes everything extremely complicated. We applied on a Friday (2/6) and just got APPROVED today (2/12) . During the application process they said we were lying about our income and because myself, husband and my mother who comes in and out every location I've lived out all were applications and all applied . My husband is a coach so we have lived in multiple cities and our families have to always come to us due to his schedule. For whatever reason they thought we were lying about why my mom needs to be on the application. Mind you, my mom makes 10k a month and regardless if she wants to live there and be on the application or not we all had PLENTY of financial proof of income to be approved. What does it matter. If she wanted to be in it alone and never be there. ITS GETTING PAID FOR SO WHY GIVE US SUCH A HARD TIME!!! Which again we were approved finalllly after the integrations and basically calling us liars. Go find my moms review and you will hear more about that and told them via phone we will be doing these reviews. Anyways we are happy to say that we denied the offer to move forward with them and are completely happy with not staying there. Western Management aka Mrs Robin was a TERRIBLE start to our experience with people in this area and once we started digging we realized a lot of people have said awful things about her and we will continue to make sure we write these review on every and any sites we can about this place. 0 stars. Save the response because it'll just say we are so sorry about you're experience and then never change. Don't waste your time here. And go ahead and send Robin our $80 from our application fees since she clearly need it more than we do.

I rented an apartment through these people for about 6 month in Billings, MT. I cleaned this place…read morefor hours. The inspection guy came by while I was there and he created a long list of additional cleaning I needed to do to "keep my deposit". I cleaned for 3 more hours. That place was spotless, WAY cleaner that when I moved in. Just got a letter saying that they had to hire 3 more hours of professional cleaning ($115.00). These people are a total ripoff. Good luck if you choose to work with Western Management.
