Texted my plumber, and he doesn't unclog drains, so he gave me the number for Daniel at All Purpose. 12/8 Called Daniel, who came out that day. He was friendly and polite, spent around 40 minutes in my basement, and I paid $138.00 for the service of unclogging the drain. Seemed reasonable to me. 12/10 Did a small load of laundry and the same thing happened. Texted Daniel. No response. He'd mentioned how swamped he was, so I figured he was simply busy and would get back to me when he could. 12/14 Having waited through the weekend plus a couple of grace days, I called Daniel and left a message. No response. 12/17 Called again. Daniel answered, said he was swamped and couldn't get to me until the following Monday or Tuesday, but he was on the highway and said he'd let me know when he could look at his schedule. He didn't call back. 12/21 The holidays are fast approaching, and I'm now hand-washing my clothes. Called Daniel again and left yet another message. No response. 12/22 It's now been two weeks of waiting, so I gave up and called another company. They came out that day and fixed my problem--a pipe that was almost completely blocked by tree roots (there are photos and video of this). They said it was fortunate that I didn't end up with a flooded basement, and they couldn't understand why All Purpose wouldn't have come at the problem from outside. 12/22 Called Daniel yet again and told him I wanted a refund. He seemed exasperated and told me I was calling his private cell number. (How would I have known that? It's the number my plumber gave me. Why not say something before? And seriously? *He's* annoyed with *me*?! Sheesh...) I got annoyed right back. Then he told me he'll refund my money and to never call him again. 1/5 As of today, I still haven't gotten my money back. Needless to say, I strongly advise against using this company. I think they're probably okay as long as nothing goes wrong ... or they're not too busy or whatever. But in my case, they didn't stand behind their work, didn't call me back after they took my money, and now won't give me the refund I was promised.

Owner James Jasper is professional, caring, intelligent, and efficient. I did considerable…read moreresearch before opting to have our house painted. We wanted a quality job, meticulous detailing of the trim, and an actual painter (not a college kid working for a painter). We received four bids to paint our craftsman and none of them felt right; one was very professional, but said he wouldn't be the actual painter; two wanted half the money up front and had no references, and one wanted to charge 11K for our 1800 sq ft house. James came to us via a personal recommendation. Not only did he do a better job painting our house than we expected, he actually repaired some of the wood work, installed a new guard rail and power washed and painted our garage (something that wasn't in the quote). He came back a week later to review his work. Upon seeing a bit of paint bleeding near the roof line, he pulled out his ladder, brought over some help and repainted the roof line. We were astonished at the pride he placed in his work. All the above, and his quote was the second cheapest we received... James is in a league of his own. I highly recommend Jasper painting for anything related to painting.

It was still leaking in March when it was nice enough for me to get on the roof to find 40+ year old flashing that we agreed needed to be replaced before the project started. I had to take off work to explain this to his contactor, and he agreed to replace the flashing. It leaked again last week so I had a third party go on the roof to see if they could stop the leak. He found the new flashing was improperly installed and had old flashing underneath. Now I have to find a competent roofer to fix the work as well as a plasterer to fix the ceiling and wall that are destroyed. Avoid this nightmare and choose a different roofer.
