I contacted CLI Carrillo Landscaping for a quote as well as several other companies in regards to a large front and backyard project I wanted accomplished. CLI was prompt in providing a quote and the estimate came within our budget as well as them being licensed, bonded, and insured (some of the other companies weren't). We decided to proceed with CLI and i'm glad we did. We started with the backyard and the guys worked very hard in making our plans come true. Avi was very communicative, which was the best part. He was available nearly all hours of the day and was prompt in his communication. He was also very honest with his discussions and this was a very nice touch considering most contractors are not very good at responding. Avi spent several hours working hard to fix various problems with my yards, including repairing a broken sprinkler line below ground, replacing several sprinkler heads, and installing three different drip irrigation systems, and resetting the automatic watering schedules. After reading other Yelp reviews and meeting with Armando to discuss work I hired CLI for my Landscape job. I needed my sprinkler system replaced, old grass, weeds, some plants removed, trees trimmed, and a lot of soil brought in for new sod to be level with Pavers that were recently installed. We had a agreed upon a fair price for the work. Last Saturday Armando and his crew showed up in the morning and worked tirelessly all day until 7 pm. The job was not finished as the sod had not come in and more soil was needed. We agreed that Tuesday would be a good day to complete the project. Dealing with Armando and his crew has been a positive experience. I am very satisfied with the end result and would hire them to do work in the future. If I could leave 0 stars for this company I would. I called and hired someone to come out the next morning for some landscaping touch ups. We were set to start at 9am. Without call, text or apology he didn't show up until close to 9:40. We showed him around the property, what needed to be done etc. I assumed he began his work. I had to step out for a couple minutes and when I came back he was gone. I called and texted several times with no answer or response. After almost a half hour of this, he finally picked up. Without explanation said he'd be back in 10 minutes. He never showed. We had to hire someone else and he never returned my message. I can't believe these people call themselves a company, I've never seen such unprofessionalism. I was surprised at this because of the other great reviews. Avi and his team were great to work with. I hired them to adapt my spray system to drip lines, and they did amazing work. Avi was mindful of my concerns and had some very helpful suggestions on how to maximize the system's efficiency. Two weeks after they completed the installation, I noticed one of the garden beds was never in direct sunlight, and thus getting a bit too much water. Avi made a house call and replaced the line with a lower-flow line at no extra cost! Sent out a number of requests to have my yard sodded. Avi got back to me first, and after checking reviews, decided to hire him. Not only was his bid very competitive, his work was impeccable. When we went to check the sprinkler system, my existing control box wouldn't work. He replaced it at cost on the spot. The grass in the yard is beautiful, but for some reason, several weeks later, my sprinkler system stopped working. I e-mailed Avi to see if he could stop by and have a look.
