The staff was attentive and easily findable if you needed anything and the prices were cheap! We ordered a mixed hookah, grenadine and berry (amazing mix btw), and 3 wine coolers. Attended an event at this location and my review is based upon the service and the "sangria" that was served. The server was Horrible and now I know why! When I looked at my receipt and see that I was charged a tip that I did not authorize!! I asked her why a $5 glass of basement sugar red colored drink was $6.21. She FINALLY spat out to me and my friend "tax". Which of course is a lie because tax is under .40. This was at the bar, I would hate to see the charge if she plopped it down on your table. Also this is her attitude when the place is empty at 7pm on a Sunday! When other restaurants have tried this they were shut down! People have respect for yourself and leave this "establishment" and their usurious tactics. I was downtown this week for a mixer at Mathers Social which is superior in every way and paid less for a real well mixed drink! The liquid poured was awful and had nothing to do with Sangria. The "wine list" was a fallacy. I asked to see the bottle of one of the reds I was considering and she spat out "don't have that" then what do you have. She pointed out the wines which were NONE of the wines listed. Considering they dont have a full liquor license and make their drinks with wine bases; I would think they would have a robust variety. We had a hookah with mint and fruit flavor, we just had the women pick out any fruit she thought would be good and we loved the flavors! I had forgotten what it was to smoke, it was super smooth and tasty. Was a bit pricey for 30 minutes (21.95). The environments casual yet classy. When I checked in it said I could have a free hot dog or drink, but i was not offered even water. They are NOT open. It's 5:06pm and their doors says just opened even though doors say opens at 3pm...mon thru Sunday. I can't believe that they are being this careless. Google says 3pm and yelp says 4pm. I don't know how to express my disappointment. If you run an establishment under certain hours you should follow those hours. So apparently they were having a private event so they are closed....posted nowhere...I asked the janitor I guess that arrived at 5:06 how someone was supposed to find out that a private event was supposed to be hosted and not open to the public...she said call. Came here for a night of live music and hookah with some friends. We got there around 10pm and things were still quiet so we were able to snag a couple of couches and get comfortable. The service was kind of slow, but it was also efficient. We shared two different hookah flavors, several beers, and a cheese and cracker plate. They offer two brands of tobacco (at two different price points) and many different flavors. The beer selection is large, but unimaginative. Ravenz Gate was the band for the evening and they were amazing. The crowd was a little suspect, but if you bring your own friends, you're in for a good time. read more

We just happened upon this place while over in that side of town and didn't want to drive all the way to our usual hookah spot. Wow what a bad experience. First off it's ridiculously loud in there and all of the lights were off with some sort of laser show or something, like you're in a club. Trying to escape the headache that was inside the establishment we chose to sit outside, so I can't really tell you much about what it looks like inside. Our waitress was a hot mess. She couldn't understand a basic order, we had to explain to her that we wanted 2 separate checks about 8 times. I do believe she was intoxicated in some shape or form. She was trying to sell us these $1 jello shots, telling us they were really good and she had 5 of them already tonight. We just went with it and ordered a couple. Jesus Christ these were the worst jello shots I have ever had. Our hookah was average, the atmosphere a nightmare, and our waitress useless. We will never go back. read more

I have been here a few times and there are positives and negatives to the experience. I really like the variety of hookah choices. I usually get a mix, such as orange mint. They also have a big drink selection. My favorite thing here is surprisingly the hummus. It is made fresh there and really good to snack on while having a drink. The servers are very friendly but can sometimes take awhile to refresh your coal or get you another drink. The more negative part of this experience is that sometimes the couches are reserved so there is not a good spot to relax with hookah. On some nights, there is a DJ. While the music was a good selection, it was incredibly loud for the small area that this lounge is. This is the best lounge I have found in the area and do enjoy going every so often. There are four reasons why I go to hookah lounges, otherwise I would just stay home and smoke my own: shisha selection, knowledge, service, atmosphere. Good news is they had a decent selection of shisha and looks like a pretty good menu otherwise. Bad news, it was possibly the most terrible hookah lounge I have ever been to. The server seemed like she had the mentality of a 16 year old and quite possibly was 16. She was socially uncomfortable, flighty and had no idea what she was talking about. We go in, the atmosphere is mediocre, tile floors, very few couches. I ask about the $10 unlimited hookah on monday that is advertised on here and their facebook. She looked at me confused and said, "no". So I just asked what is good there instead and she said "Cleo's Special", I asked what was in it and she said it changes every night and they don't tell people. Whatever- we'll get it. The hookah was decent to smoke- it was a good mix of flavors. So later we bring it up to her attention that it does advertise on-line that it says $10 unlimited smoke. She goes to ask her boss about it then and said it was only for the three flavors- (seriously I would have gotten those three flavors). "Whatever fine, can you at least use the $5 off coupon for my first check in with yelp mobile?" She comes back and says no, it has expired. I recheck the coupon and there is no expiration date, there is actually an option to use later on. Anyways, besides that fiasco, she never asked if we wanted another coal or a refill or anything. It took forever to get anyone's attention for the tab. They went in the back and closed the door... I was actually thinking about just walking out. I wont come back and I advise you not to go. By the way there were toddlers in their when we were with their smoking parents... I am pretty sure that is illegal, just saying. read more

The reviews for this place were "meh" but I went anyway. My experience wasnt that great. I wont go back because the bill mixup at the end of the night was incredibly frustrating. Extensive shisha menu and if you get the young male waiter he is incredibly detailed in describing it to you. This is a small hookah lounge that is next to Gold's gym in the Kmart plaza strip mall lot. It is not a place to go to for eating as the menu is all hookah and alcohol. This is a great place for hanging out with your friends since they have a few couches and you can sit around and talk and smoke. I've been here before and I have a feeling it's family owned. All of the people who work there are incredibly young. In the girls bathroom, our waitress left her hot iron plugged in so that she could randomly pop in and do her hair. Even though the service was incredibly polite, they sometimes did not check on us for long periods, made horrible mixed drinks and were easily confused by the bills. I also have a feeling that almost all of the customers that came in later were friends with the girls and that is why our service started to suck. We probably would have had great service if we stuck with our male waiter but he quickly disappeared. After the male waiter disappeared, a female took over. She either checked on us too frequently or disappeared for very long periods of time. She would check on our drinks but didnt check the coal on our hookah and I actually had to ask a couple of times for them to check on it. We were the only people in the place for hours so that annoyed me that she wasnt watching out for us needing help. At the beginning of the night, the male waiter told us that we could split our bill five ways since there was five of us. At the end of the night, the female waiter said they could only split it four ways and only four ways evenly. This does not make any sense - why would a girl who bought bottled water pay the same as me who had five beers? We had to explain that to her and instead of going to the manager she just said there was nothing she could do. She also charged us for things that we did not get. They seemed overwhelmed with having three tables at once even though there were at least five people working. Around ten, it became incredibly loud. The DJ started playing and you literally could not talk to the people next to you without screaming. It was great music but the vibe changed from dead quiet place to hang out with your friends to super loud club with dim lighting instantly. The prices were alright but I wish they listed them. It was twenty bucks for the hookah and it lasted us three or four hours. My friend got a bottled Jack Daniel's premixed drink which I havent seen before and found out later it was ten bucks. The beers averaged 4-5 bucks which was decent since they were Lebanese beer or exotic beer and not just overpriced Miller Lite. The servers need a lot of work. They are very friendly but they need to be better at their job. I think none of my friends will go back just because the bill fiasco took so long to figure out and because it was impossible to talk to them over the loud music. read more

Not so great location, but is about 5 minutes drive from a lot of good restaurants at Dr. Phillips, it has a great price, drinks are farely priced and the hookah too especially considering the variety of flavors. The DJ has a top 10 kinda thing going on which isn't bad but the space is too small which makes it almost impossible to carry a conversion with friends or a date. Cleopatra Hookah Lounge is an awful place. I was truly amazed by the number of people that were inside the lounge when I went on Friday. I really was. To begin with, hookah is supposed to be a social experience. The entire focus is to relax with friends and be social with each other. The music being played was far too loud. Loud, noisy techno with very foul language ("fuck this girl, then fuck that girl" was a popular lyric being blasted for several minutes during one song) was pumped through the lounge for all two hours I was there. In addition, the lights were off and a laser light show was playing for the entire night - we literally couldn't see anything, we had to use our cell phones to even see the menu! The music was so loud we couldn't communicate. Frequently, we would have to repeat ourselves three or even four times before other people in the group could understand what was being said across the table, and forget having more than a one on one conversation. Several times during the night we even had to send text messages to other people at the table, just so we could understand what they were saying! TOO LOUD! The atmosphere was also poor. There were only two couches in the entire lounge, both of which were reserved for friends (I assume they were friends, as everyone at these couches were hugging the waiters) and not available for use. Instead, they have restaurant style chairs and tables, which were uncomfortable after smoking for two hours. None of the above affected me that badly. I was content with the service, but was sure I wouldn't return. The music was loud, but I'm sure some people like that! I personally felt that it was more like a club and less like a lounge, but I could see the appeal to some people looking for a more "lively" place to smoke. And the service was great! The waiter was always there offering drinks and coals and seemed extremely knowledgeable. That, however, all changed when I saw the bill. The shady business practices turned my "okay place, but not for me" opinion to "avoid at ALL costs!" Bowls of shisha are advertised as $15.95. That's a little on the expensive side, but it isn't absurd. However, upon receiving my bill, I was charged a flat $20 for a "hookah rental" - four dollars more than advertised. If that isn't bad enough, the lounge also has a non-optional $3.60 tip on top of tax. All together, smoking a single hookah ended up costing $24.89! That is an INSANELY high price for something that was on the menu as $15.95! Lots of hidden fees! Another complaint about pricing - the lowest quality/cheap shisha was the same price as the highest quality shisha. Definitely seems like a tourist or beginner trap - a person new to smoking hookah probably won't know the difference between Al-Fakher and Fantasia, but anyone who has seen pricing at other lounges will know something is up. If you like loud techno music while you are trying to talk with friends and paying incredibly high prices with hidden extra charges for shisha, this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid! read more

This was my 1st time trying Hookah... and overall it was pretty good. I don't have any other Lounge's to compare it to, but this one seemed really nice. They had couches and tables with chairs to sit, and they also had outdoor seating as well. It was pretty dead on a Thursday night, but they had continuous business coming in.
