It was a s**** show to find my converter upon pick up and upon driving an hour back north I realize that they didn't have my dipstick with the transmission so I had to drive two more hours to get a hold of parts that were mine. The first vehicle, the cooling lines rotted. Midway spliced in new pieces for $70. A very fair deal, IMO. The next time it went in, the trans cooler lines sprung leaks elsewhere, about 2 years after the splice repair. They were rusted beyond repair. Midway installed dealer-ordered parts this time. I forget the price but when I called around and priced the job out, Midway came in the 2nd lowest... the 1st lowest was some place on 8 mile and all of my cars are equipped with "12 mile brakes" these days - the car hits 12 mile, the brakes slam on, and the car turns around!! haha This last time I had a vehicle in (different vehicle now), they rebuilt the transmission, were very reasonably priced and had it done the next afternoon... I was pretty impressed. Ive been driving on the rebuild transmission for over a month now (8 month, 8000 mile warranty) and havent had a problem. I felt when they were giving me the rebuild, they didnt nickel and dime me to death. And for that, I give a noble well-earned 5 yelp stars!

CAround late November of 2021 my car broke down. I was driving in a subdivision and ,upon taking a…read moreturn, I heard a (clunk-like) breaking sound, and my car stopped moving forward. It only moved in neutral, reverse, and the lowest gear after that. (This happened while I was working, so you can imagine the disbelief and stress I felt). I got it towed the following day. With the description of the problem, the tow-man said it sounded like the transmission gave out. I did research on transmissions for my car (2009 Chevy Impala). I discovered that people with the same car had experienced similar problems with their transmission. Mind you, I'm 19 years old, and I had absolutely no idea how to find a solution. I spent some time looking online for transmission repair shops in my area. For a few days, I called MULTIPLE shops asking them about what might be wrong and the costs to fix it. I got quotes all the way up to $6000.00, until I found Cuddy Brothers Transmission..... Mind you, my car did not drive; however, they were able to tow my car to their shop for "free."(I believe the towing is free with a related purchase, so ask Todd for details). As I called and explained the situation, he said it needed to be rebuilt. When he brought it in to diagnose, he confirmed everything he said over the phone. What caused my car to stop driving so suddenly, was that one of the three bands had snapped while driving. There were other corroded and worn pieces as well. They replaced all the broken pieces in the transmission. They also cleaned all the parts. Todd is very honest and knowledgeable about what he does. His entire team reflects that. I was astounded and impressed by how well they were able to simplify and explain to be the different parts of the transmission and how/why behind each part. Before I got any work done, I was given an estimate for the final price. It came out to be just under $2800($2747.68) to be exact. That included parts, labor, and sales tax. The interior of the lobby is old-fashioned, but their Bay Area looked well equipped with tools and everything. If you have any questions about warranty, your transmission, or general inquiry, don't hesitate to give them a call to speak to Todd. Todd was kind enough to bring me into the bay and give me a break down of everything in the transmission. He did an excellent job of educating me about it. The only concern I had , at first, was the duration of the rebuild. He said it was a 4-5 day job. However, they started on Tuesday, and they finished around 4:00pm on Friday. The mechanics were very friendly and open to questions. I knew nothing about transmissions before this. Now, I can have actually have a discussion about the parts and how it works. I'm giving five stars because my experience was INCREDIBLE. For all the research I did beforehand, I wish I had found this place first. But, as the saying goes "diamond in the rough", I had to dig through some roughness to find this diamond of Transmission Repair Shop. If you're unknowledgeable about what to do, don't worry. GO HERE and you'll be taken care of. I'm very fortunate to have found this place, and I happily share this information with you.

These guys said they where all full of bull, they put on an after market without removing the old saving me $700. Another time the owner came to my home to listen to the engine noise as I was afraid to drive it. Now, the owner has been in business longer then many of his customers have been alive and to be fair can be a bit grumpy.
