Took my car in for warranty work. The car had 60.660 miles on it . When I got it back. The tire valve leaked. At 60.700 miles . I got a lean code PO 171 - I took the air box off and the air filter was the wrong size. And laying in the bottom of the box. I did not have a pleasant experience with Clemons Chevrolet. My 97 year old father was sold a fully loaded 2016 Malibu with extra wax and upholstery protection (he uses a walker and has a difficult time moving around). He did not even know how to use the push button starter. I think it was unethical to sell an old man with physical and mental disabilities this type of car. He died two months later and the car had 70 miles on it. My sister and I approached Clemons to see if they would take the vehicle back and they offered us $8,000 less than the original price. They wouldn't discuss the matter and were very rude. I would not recommend this dealership. read more

TOTAL INCOMPETENCE! Our vacation turned into a nightmare when our truck broke down outside of Marshalltown, Iowa and we had to rely on Clemons Chevrolet to fix it. $9,000+ later and 21 days of being stranded in Iowa (which included surviving the Marshalltown tornado), we had to have our truck towed home (over 800 miles) by our family where our own GM mechanic correctly diagnosed the problem in under an hour. Clemons replaced the fuel injectors (which were new) and the power pump twice. The replacement parts were used which they did not disclose beforehand. Because of the incompetence of Jason Colby (service manager) and the diesel mechanic, they failed to realize the very simple problem was gas in a diesel motor which was only a $500 repair. My husband and I are senior citizens and would like to believe there are still people of integrity in the world, but clearly they do not work at Clemons. read more

Whitney who I believe is the new Service Manager is amazing. I had a horrible experience with previous manager. Whitney definitely has the qualities to be in management. She is professional and fair. Mike Clemons was willing to make this right after my last visit which was not a pleasant one. Great improvement this time around they were willing to look at my vehicle without charging to see if there was a part failure of some sort. read more

Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Equinox from Clemons. It began to have electrical issues. I took it in to have them repair the problem. The Service Manager called to tell me that I had to call GM Corporate to authorize the work to be done. I spoke to them and this is after they still had not done much to the car. I went in to check and see if the parts were in and to see if they were getting the issue solved. The Service attendant had to check if the parts were in and then came back and said that he would get it scheduled for the next day. It has now been a little over a month later and still having the same issues. Clemons Service department was reluctant to do the work to start off with. I figured since it was a Chevy and that is the main brand that they sell, that there would be no issue with them working on the car. Apparently I was wrong. I will not suggest anyone to purchase a vehicle from them or to take it there to have it serviced. They do not stand behind the vehicles that they sell and if it is a warranty issue. You would be better off taking the vehicle somewhere else. read more

Lets just say this dealership should be shut down for horrible customer service and unethical practices. I tried to buy a truck and have shipped to me. I asked for 500 off and they eat the cost of shipping est 600-800. they happily ageed to the deal and i have text messages to prove it. I then proceded with the deal and sent them a check but for some the sales person gonzalo couldnt find the time to call me back. then the trouble started. A week passed by since our deal was made. I had to call him several times. He claimed he diddnt know how to ship it out and he was quoted 1400 dollars to do it. he wanted me to pay shipping and it sounded to me like basically they didnt want to mess with the shipping even though we agreed upon it. he stated to let him know if i ould find a company for cheaper. I have shipped cars before and i know an outragous quote or made up quote when i see it. I then googled car shipping for them and of course 1000s of companies popped up. I put in my info and minutes later recived calls and emails with quotes as low as 600 dollars. I forwarded most of the quotes to gonzalos email as he requested. I waited and another day or two passed and nothing happend. then he texts me after i texted him, oh sorry my managers are going back on the deal and dont want to ship it. i have to eat the cost of shipping and do it on my own if i want it. i said no of course to thatt but then came back with 1500 total off the asking price. they declined. it all sounded suspicious. i called back and asked for a diffrent sales person not claiming who i was inquired about the truck. he stated he just sold it a day ago. remember they have my check and everything they needed from me already. I wouldnt go near this dealerrship unless you like to work with dishonest, slow to respond, unethical people, and you may or may not get your vehicle. read more
